Shiny Weapons Idea

Just a quick thought, wouldn't it be awesome if there were ultra rare "Shiny" versions of each legendary weapon similar to Pokemon? Maybe there's like a 1/500 chance to get a shiny 'Better Devils' handcannon that's silver instead of red?

I'd grind fo dat. Howbouchu?

Edit: to clear up any confusion "Better Devils" is the name of a D2 hand cannon. The shiny variant would just be like a paint swap of the normal gun. :)

Rahool's Final Stand

So for those who haven't watched the IGN First Look thing about The Farm (the new social space), Tyra Karn (from the Iron Temple) is the Cryptarch, not Rahool. Does this mean Rahool died in the attack on the Tower?

Wonder how that went...

Cabal Legionnaire: "Sir, we found this Awoken under some rubble."

Ghaul: "Bring him to me."

Rahool: "What do you want with me?"

Ghaul: "I found this purple sphere like object on a Guardian I threw off the Tower. I've heard of these. They are supposed to give what Guardians call "legendary" weapons. If you don't want to join him, you will tell me what it is."

Fallout shaves PopeBear's beard and wears it at GuardianCon (St Judes Donation Goal)

Many people (oddly) really wanted to see this happen, so I had my buddy Daddyphatsnaps record this live at GuardianCon. Back in January during our 'podcast showdown' charity event for St Judes, we set a donation goal on the fly: Pope would shave his beard at GuardianCon '17 on the condition that we'd put it on my baby-smooth face immediately afterwards. We hit our goal wayyyyy quicker than I anticipated.

As we all know, through silly stuff just like this, the Destiny Community collectively raised over $1.2M for charity, which is mind-blowing. Thanks for making GuardianCon one of the more memorable weekends of my life :)

I've been holding on to this, but since it is the 4th of July I thought it was fitting to share. Was helping a friend "cheese" Crota right before weekly reset. Instead of walking right off to avoid the Dragon's Breath solar flare, he decided to get trapped in the wall and give us a nice show. This really caught me off guard and was never able to replicate.

The advent of soccer/football is going to make Bungie a ton of money in emotes sold.

Bungie are way sneakier than I gave them credit for. They know full well that incorporating scored soccer/football/fussball in the social space is going to make certain emotes "must-haves" for some of us. Right from kickoff, I can think of a few that no self-respecting footballing guardian can do without. For example:

  1. The "Who-me-I-certainly-did-not-slide-tackle-that-other-guy-from-behind-ur-crazy-ref" shocked protestation and reaction.

  2. The "air-pulling-cards-out-of-the-pocket-to-get-someone-else-sent-off". Pairs well with No. 1 above.

  3. The "heart-hands-goal-celebration" if you're Gareth Bale or have been dropped on the head at birth.

  4. The "hurl-a-water-bottle-forcefully-on-the-ground-after-getting-subbed-off-for-being-useless."

  5. The "sarcastic-applauding-the-refs-decision-because-he's-an-idiot."

  6. And of course, the Peter Crouch robot dance.

UPDATE: 7. Because this is modern football, we also need the "Someone-gently-brushed-against-me-and-now-I-must-roll-around-on-the-ground-like-I-just-got-Eirene-sniped-in-the-calf" emote.

So I am pretty sure Hunters are going to be set up in Destiny 2 to play evasive, quick, agile, assassin like roles, getting out of gunfights they're losing easily, recovering their health quickly and re-engaging again as soon as possible.

I decided to chat about it in a video with presenter of UK daytime quiz show, Pointless, Richard Osman, and get him to do all the boring numbers bits.

For those who aren't photoshop pros but want a "family photo" before D2......

I (like a few others) wanted to have a way to preserve my characters that I have been using for the past almost 3 years. I have photoshopping skills for post processing photos....but am not super good with cropping things.

Anyways....long story short. I took screen shots of each character on the character selection screen via the Xbox screenshot feature (double tap the home button then press "Y"). Then you can go to one of the websites that display your captured images and videos. I personally used xboxclips. Then I used a photo collage app (I used pic stitch on iOS) and imported the screenshots.

It might not be as fancy as some of the pros out there. But its a way that I found that I can memorialize my characters before D2 releases.

If you use this method, keep one thing in mind. I equipped primaries that were of significant importance to me as well.......details. LOL

Some may remember this post where I asked DestinyTheGame members to look up their kill totals and submit them in the name of fun data collection. Well the responses have stopped coming in which means it's time to see the results!

New to Armsday?

For those new to Armsday, here's the basics: Each week you can order a number of weapons from the gunsmith, equal to your gunsmith rank, up to a max of 3. You can rank up by doing the weekly weapon tests. On the Wednesday following your order, you get to choose from a number of rolls (combinations of perks) on each of the weapons you ordered. Again, this number is equal to your gunsmith rank, up to a max of 3 possible choices. If you choose not to turn in your weapon order for a roll, you can hold onto the order and you will get access to 3 new rolls every week (until you claim the weapon). The orders never expire but do take up inventory space, and do count towards your max number of orders. At any given time the max number of orders you can have in your inventory is 3 per character. Below are the rolls available to those who ordered these weapons last week.

And I also stood beside Zavala, Zavala is almost same height as us if not a slight taller but Shaxx is a fucking tower and might be only tallest guardian I have seen

The best part about static weapon rolls for me

As we all now know, weapons are not getting the standard RNG perk drops we see now. What that actually means for the game, good or bad, remains to be seen but for me I am going to love it. Not because of the static rolls necessarily though.

Now when a new player plays destiny 2 (there will be lots) and they complain about one of the static rolls on a gun. I can break out my destiny 2 early access beta superiority (Yes I know I am a special snowflake ogre) and say, "Back in my day we had to grind uphill both ways in the snow for a gun similar with exhumed and third eye and we liked it".

Just a little something I can't wait for.

T12 Hunter armor sets (with Bones of Eao) from all four Raids, fully ornamented with every Raid shader.

Since Age of Triumph came out I have worked on getting T12 armor from every Raid on my Hunter. Last week I finally got the gauntlets I was missing from VOG. Here are all four Raid sets, with and without ornaments and with every Raid shader:

VAULT OF GLASS

I have two different gauntlets for VOG which makes the t12 build a bit different. The first set has Hand Cannon reloader and I use it up to Templar. If I run relic at Templar I switch to the other set which has Sniper reloader. Sadly the chest piece doesn't have Void armor (still chasing it).

Tier 12 nr. 1 (for the first picture only):

Intellect: Tier 5.

Discipline: Tier 4.

Strength: Tier 3.

Tier 12 nr. 2:

Intellect: Tier 5.

Discipline: Tier 5.

Strength: Tier 2.

CROTA'S END

Has Hand cannon reloader on the gauntlets and Void armor on the chest piece. Would have preferred a 4/4/4 build (still chasing it).

Tier 12:

Intellect: Tier 5.

Discipline: Tier 3.

Strength: Tier 4.

KINGS FALL

The Kings fall set has Hand cannon reloader and Void Armor on the chest piece. Here I would also have preferred a 4/4/4 build which I am still chasing.

Tier 12:

Intellect: Tier 4.

Discipline: Tier 3.

Strength: Tier 5.

WRATH OF THE MACHINE

This is probably the set I am the most satisfied with but it is also the only set that you can reload. Has Hand cannon reloader and Void armor on chest piece.

Tier 12:

Intellect: Tier 2.

Discipline: Tier 5.

Strength: Tier 5.

Bonus! Full Age of Triumph set with White Chroma and Laurel Wreath shader. Wonder why I didn't show you the stats? Because every armor piece was under 90%...

Also, there is one simple reason why I am using Bones of Eao instead of the Raid specific boots... Because I can't live without them! Seriously I never take them of anymore, I use them in every Destiny activity.

Here are how many clears I had for each Raid on my Hunter before I got the t12 armor:

  • Vault of Glass: 19.

  • Crota's End: 13.

  • Kings Fall: 9!

  • Wrath of the Machine: 30.

If you have any class PVP quests, do them this week!

If you're not a PVPer, you probably have a bunch of quests stuck on steps like "get 30 Hammer of Sol multikills in Crucible". This week's Iron Banner is essentially infinite grenades / infinite supers / infinite respawn, so you'll finish them all in a few matches!
