[BotW] Satori Mountain Materials

Posted: 16 Jul 2017 05:17 PM PDT

Map: Link

The southern tree near lots of mushrooms will have lots of beetles when Satori Mountain is glowing.

I made this map to help me locate materials that I like to farm. It's not comprehensive of every material on the mountain, I just chose locations very concentrated with specific materials.

If you want a full comprehensive map of material locations, use Mr. Cheeze's Object Map. It helped me locate many materials.

Zelda Survivor

Posted: 16 Jul 2017 03:02 PM PDT

Would you guys like doing a survivor with every canon Zelda game? Like every band subreddit does.

Every round, the community votes for a game of the series to eliminate until there's just one left. That way, we could see which game is the most liked (or the least disliked) by the community.

Grandfather is a fan of Zelda, I need help on how to introduce him to botw

Posted: 16 Jul 2017 05:23 PM PDT

My grandfather introduced me to Zelda when I was like 5 or 6 he had an old n64 and we would play ocarina when we would visit him, and we would always start a new file and see how far we could get together in the week we were together, when I was like 8 and visited it was my birthday and he had convinced my parents to get a game boy for me and he would get the game, and he got me link to the past, and a few years later he got a wii and we would continue playing Zelda with twilight princess and skyward sword, so Zelda and my grandfather have a place in my heart together. Tomorrow we are going to go visit him for the week and he hasn't gotten a Wii U or a switch so he hasn't touched botw yet, how should I introduce him to it? I am on switch if that helps at all, should I make him a full new character? Or should I let him screw around with mine, all 120 shrines complete and 4 divine beasts? He doesn't know much about the game at all besides the fact that it's Zelda, and he is much more used to how twilight princess and skyward sword are, any ideas on how to introduce him and let him experience what botw has to offer, we will only be there for a week, which isn't long with a game of its size. Any ideas would help

Why does Zelda 2 get so much crap?

Posted: 17 Jul 2017 06:22 AM PDT

Once you get past the initial difficulty of this game, I think this is a great game. You got some challenging dungeons, great combat with enemies, towns to visit (named after the sages in Oot!) that have side quests, awesome music, and collectibles (heart and magic containers, spells to learn, link dolls). I also found the point system used for upgrading attack, magic, and life to be fun as well. Besides the game being difficult, why do zelda fans hate this game?

Just for a second... let's take away the controls, and make Fi a character rather than a gameplay element. Is skyward sword a good game? I'm talking: characters, music, story, design, graphics. Ignoring the controls, would you say it's a good game?

The beginning is slow and boring... but so is every zelda game's intro. Music in my opinion was fanfuckingtastic!

Nintendo's anime of Link vs Pit to promote Smash Bros WiiU

Posted: 17 Jul 2017 08:30 AM PDT

One thing I really appreciated about skyward sword... was in the end, you actually get to SEE link put back the master sword! It always bugged me that at the end of Zelda games, it shows a scene right after he put the sword back. So you never actually see him place it XD

Anyone else disappointed that Link's sister wasn't Zelda in Wind Waker?

Posted: 17 Jul 2017 10:07 AM PDT

I know Ganondorf kidnapped any girl with blonde hair and blue eyes (because they resemble Zelda) and Aryll ended up being mistakingly kidnapped, but I actually hope this would've been true and she was Zelda.

Also I hate how Tetra is Zelda. Like Tetra's skincolor somehow magically changes, and so does her personality.

Should I drop my main BOTW and opt to 100% a Master Mode run?

Posted: 17 Jul 2017 09:45 AM PDT

I don't see any reason not to, I'm up for the challenge.

I also don't see any fruits being bored in 100%-ing the base game if Master Mode would be a better achievement anyways.

Any stories of people who have done this? Most difficult part, etc?

Zelda themed D&D character

Posted: 17 Jul 2017 09:05 AM PDT

Hello everyone. I am extremely new to the D&D scene. The way I've enjoyed playing was through making either characters from things I like or through funny ideas. Being a huge Zelda fan, the first character I created was Link since it seemed like a simple fighter character.

Now that my group is reaching the end of their campaign it's about time to start working on a new character. This time I want to make the Fierce Deity from Majora's Mask, but I'm not quite sure how I should set him up. My DM allows dual classing if you can RP a reason for it which I could do. Since I'm still very new I just don't know how to go about creating him. Any help would be appreciated especially if anyone already has a build for one.

I already posted this in a D&D reddit, but I thought maybe some hardcore Zelda fans may also have tried this.

Question about BotW and expansion pass

Posted: 17 Jul 2017 08:52 AM PDT

I'm about to start Breath of the Wild but could someone give me an idea of how it'll work with the expansion pass?

After you beat the game will these additions be available? If you're in the middle of a game and a new section becomes available will it be easily accessible?

What's your favourite handheld Zelda?

Posted: 16 Jul 2017 10:22 PM PDT

I just finished Phantom Hourglass for the first time, and it was amazing. Somehow managed to capture the open-ocean feeling of Wind Waker but bring new and exciting ideas with the use of the touchscreen. I felt the dungeons were a little too easy, however.

Anyways, it had me thinking, what's your favourite handheld Zelda? No BotW doesn't count. For me it has to be either Link's Awakening or A Link Between Worlds. How about you?

Question about amiibo weapon unlocks

Posted: 17 Jul 2017 02:08 AM PDT

Does the tier of weapon you get from amiibos have anything to do with where you are in the game? My roommate is a good bit ahead of me in the game and it seems he gets the rare drops more frequently than I do. Is this just bad luck or by design.

A link to the past remake

Posted: 17 Jul 2017 06:35 AM PDT

It would be so cool to not only get all zelda games on the switch but also more HD zeldas. Personally I would love to see A link to the past HD version. Something that kinda looks like 3D dot game heroes which has beautiful graphics (which is also based off of Alttp anyways).
