| No Charges Spent When Using Enchanted Weapons Posted: 11 Jul 2017 04:26 AM PDT I just found this out recently. If you get your Enchanting to 100 with all Enchanting perks, have 4 Grand Soul Gems, have the Magicka Cost Reduction enchantment, and have 4 items valid for that enchantment, you can then use enchanted weapons without using up charges. Example: I have 100 Enchanting and all its perks, and I also have the enchantment that says "X spells cost Y% less to cast". I take 4 Grand Souls and 4 items then enchant them with "Destruction spells cost 25% less." If I equip all 4, I have 100% Destruction Magicka cost reduction and I can use weapons (with enchantments that are classified as Destruction enchantments) without spending charges. I know it says "Magicka cost reduction", but it actually works. I also know that many of you know about this already, I'm just making sure that more people will see it. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 10 Jul 2017 09:57 PM PDT Skyrim was released years and years ago. For the first time I finally got around to joining the imperials a few days ago. After playing Oblivion. I think that before playing Oblivion, I never had appreciation for the Empire at all, of course, and I always went with Ralof anyway, since the imperials tried to cut me. So I tried the empire this time, but it was the same thing. General stupid doesn't get anything, they don't know what they're doing, and Rikke sucks. So after I ran out of that room so I wouldn't hear Tullius' terrible voice, I was thinking, just how did I side with these guys, when I could have sided with Ulfric and hot-headed Galmar, who has a bear for a hat? What's a more manly duo in Skyrim than Galmar and Ulfric, anyway? You can feel there's a real rebellion and some real stormcloak kinship in the Castle of Windhelm. This is compared to the dull and drab conversations Rikke and General Stupid have, which sound like Rikke is only there because Tullius kidnapped her dog. While Ulfric and Galmar may go about their business aggressively, at least they have a vision. I know some people must have sided with the Imperials, and so after trying out the Imperial questline I have one question for you: Do you actually enjoy being an imperial milk-drinker? | Posted: 11 Jul 2017 01:56 AM PDT I recently saw many people roleplaying a character and creating his backstory! So about 2 weeks ago I also started roleplaying! I use mods to make skyrim feel more medieval and I pretend that Tamriel is Europe (It may sound stupid but i decided to try it out)! My character is a Slav and in his homeland there was a civil war. So he decided to leave his homeland and head with a ship somewhere where he can earn reputation and money. While he was journeying to an unknown land he was attacked by pirates and taken captive. He spent months as a slave but then he got lucky.. The pirate ship got destroyed in a storm and he was washed ashore near Dawnstar. He started running as far as he could from the shipwreck because maybe some pirates survived. He wandered for weeks till he came to Riften... [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 11 Jul 2017 02:30 AM PDT Ok got to ask this as it has been bugging me for a while.. Do Death Hound collars actually have any use at all? I did a run where I collected them and ended up with a couple of hundred. Now I have Vampires showing up in my current run and I already have ten just want to know if I can actually do anything with them. [link] [comments] | ||
| Do unnamed NPCs automatically de-spawn? Posted: 11 Jul 2017 05:58 AM PDT I was reading that you can pickpocket an NPC or guard, take his stuff and give him better armor/weapons, which he will then equip. Sounds like an interesting way to protect small, exposed villages from dragon attacks; but I was wondering if unnamed NPCs will de-spawn, and recycle after a set amount of time. Don't want to spend a bunch of time making them nigh invulnerable, only to have them be replaced with the standard model, without having to die first. Thanks for any info :) [link] [comments] | ||

| How to get horse to stay at Lakeview Manor? Posted: 11 Jul 2017 06:54 AM PDT I had my steward purchase one but it won't stay there, it follows me every time i fast travel. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 11 Jul 2017 06:33 AM PDT How come no one talks about this beautiful location? It's incredible how vast it is, it's so much fun just running around appreciating the beauty. Killing Falmer and Dragons is pretty great too. I really wish Bethesda would make more larger than life areas like Forgotten Vale, Soul Carin, and Blackreach. [link] [comments] | ||

| Character Backgrounds - Live Another Life Posted: 10 Jul 2017 10:39 PM PDT For those who use 'Alternate Start: Live Another Life', I'm just curious as to what backgrounds/stories everyone has made up for their character, and what start you use to help solidify that role. Since creating a past for your character is just half the fun, IMO. My Character's Story He grew up in Skyrim with his father up until he was 16. He realized he longed for adventure, to explore the world and learn as much as he could, and so he did. He travelled to nearly every province. He learned to fight primarily from his father, although he was curious as to how his father knew so much of combat. He felt his father didn't tell him everything of his past. But along his travels, he learned lock-picking and the ways of trading from the Kahjiit Caravans of Elsweyr, the Bosmer of Valenwood taught him how to further his skill in archery as well as hunting. He also studied the Alik'r. Their mastery of the sword fascinated him, as well as their culture and history of Hammerfell. And now... Being almost 37, and having not seen his father in over two decades. He catches word from a passing caravan out of Skyrim that his father has passed due to natural causes. And so he feels, its time... It's time to finally head home. After a long journey back home he finally arrives back in Skyrim and headed to Falkreath, the village he grew up in. He finds his father's grave. After coming to terms with his father's passing, he pays his respects and to thank him for everything. After that rollercoaster of emotions, he headed to the local inn for a drink, (appropriately named the 'Dead Man's Drink's) and contemplate what to do next. Despite everything he's learned over the years, he's not good at much other than fighting. He decides to head for Whiterun and see about joining the Companions and see where life takes him next. But on his way, he notices Alduin leaving the burning village of Helgen and decides to run for Riverwood and warn them - and the main story picks up there. Edit: I decided to write the rest of the story, might as well. It's not the best, but it helps with immersion. :P [link] [comments] | ||
