Skyrim is by far my favorite game I've ever played

Posted: 02 Jul 2017 07:03 PM PDT

I've put in about 150 hours into it and now I have two questions for all of y'all, 1. What do you think I've missed in the game that is easy to skip over? (Such as hidden quests and what not) 2. What other games are similar to skyrim besides fallout that are worth a play? Thanks!

And why is it Blackreach.

Edit: Marked spoilers for possible location/story spoilers

A thief thought he could escape me. He thought wrong. Probably the best-led bow shot I've gotten.

A Vampire attack left a certain someone dead... Needless to say this was heartbreaking.

Can someone help? As the first SnB character I've ever made I've come across a quality-of-life problem that is frustrating me greatly.

Posted: 03 Jul 2017 12:24 AM PDT

I've only played 2H characters (bow, melee) and mages in the past. These were all fluent to play in regards to hotkeys as I'd just have a favorite menu like this:

1: Main weapon
2: Ebonyflesh
3: Healing
4: Summon Dremora

However with SnB, one hand uses shield and one hand uses a 1H weapon. This has so far forced me to use the quick menu to equip my shield every time I use bound sword. So if I need to cast healing spells or shields in combat, each time I cast bound sword I need to manually enter the quick menu to equip a shield and it is DRIVING ME CRAZY!

Is there a way to solve this issue?

Was there a specific moment when you knew Skyrim was a special game?

Posted: 02 Jul 2017 02:08 PM PDT

Some of you have seen my vid, but for me it was when I was really new to the game and I was walking through this blizzard during the dead of night and I stubbled upon Nightgate Inn, all while "secunda" was playing. I entered this lovely Inn and the fire roared, the tavern music complimented the scene and I was utterly blown away by how perfect the moment was. Do you have any stories? I want to know if other people have had similar moments!

Ever got a letter from yourself?

Posted: 03 Jul 2017 08:02 AM PDT

So there I was in the Silver Blood treasury, I just finished killing Thonar's friend and had done away with his receptionist and, like a glorious Dovhakiin, body slammed her to next week. Upon my exit from the sad sad place, I was met with a courier who gave me a letter. A LETTER FROM MYSELF! Apparently "I" bore witness to my murder of the receptionist and was greatly pleased with this. Therefore, "I" am happy to pay myself for this! WTF?!
