Can we make it so we aren't force to switch berries every time we feed.

Posted: 12 Jul 2017 12:23 PM PDT

Its very annoying having to use drop menus every single berry if you don't want to waste all of your razz berries.

PSA: Don't shoot yourself trough the foot by using nanab berries on raid bosses

Posted: 12 Jul 2017 06:06 PM PDT

If you are using nanab and you managed to get the perfect excellent throw you will still have lower capture chance than throwing outside of the circle with a golden razzberry. So if you want to catch a raid boss, forget about the nanab and use golden razzberies.

If you can't hit the boss because he attacks too often, then wait for the moment before he finishes his attack animation and throw then.

And don't forget about curveballs. Regularly thrown ultra ball has almost the same multiplier as a curveball pokeball

The reason why I'm posting this is because I'm seeing way to many people saying that they use nanabs on raid bosses in the comments having a lot of upvotes. Also because of Mystic7 trying to catch ttars with nanabs and wondering why they always run.

P.S. sorry for the bad English. It's not my first language

Niantic, we need some sort of in-game chat

Posted: 12 Jul 2017 04:34 PM PDT

Maybe a chat based on which team your on? IMO, we need someway to communicate in-game to those around us to coordinate raids and such. What do ya'll think?

We should be able switch out a Pokemon during that loading screen between the Pokemon you battle in the gym. Like the main series game.

I'm still not convinced a Legendary will be released at Go Fest.

Posted: 12 Jul 2017 05:17 AM PDT

I don't want to be a killjoy but I don't see the logic in assuming a legendary will be at Go Fest. I'd be happy to be wrong though.

We know legendaries will be released sometime this summer but we are still left in the dark about when exactly.

The Go Fest page doesn't have any indication/hint of legendaries either. http://pokemongo.nianticlabs.com/fest/

The first part about 'Increased Pokémon Encounters' refers to Regional Pokemon and the 'Challenges and Rewards' section is actually referring to raids. Though there is a second part to this that isn't clear.

Yet, we have people being almost sure that legendaries will be released with no announcement from Niantic. The information we do have is that legendaries are going to be available to those who have done a certain number of raids from Ed Wu, Niantic's director of software engineering:

"I can't talk much about exactly what we're going to do there," Wu told Gamereactor. "But I can say, for those players who train really hard, who go to gym and raid battles almost every day and go quite regularly, we'll have special invitation-only events where some of the most rare and most powerful Pokémon, including legendaries, might appear."

Source: https://www.gamereactor.eu/news/546033/Invite+only+events+coming+to+avid+Pokemon+Go+players/

We also know they are coming sooner than later with the iOS leak but I can't make the jump to assume they will first show up at Go Fest. (Keep in mind that leak going around isn't reliable and likely false.)

All I'm saying is to keep your expectations reasonable when it comes to Go Fest. Niantic hasn't communicated anything to indicate intent that there will be a released legendary. On the flip side, this is the first major event so it would only natural they would also release the first legendary here so let's all just wait and see.

[Idea] Scale up the time given to do raids for less players

Posted: 12 Jul 2017 08:59 PM PDT

I don't know if it already does this, but usually if I try to take on a level 3 raid boss alone I can only get through 3 or 4 of my Pokemon before the time is up, less if I'm trying to dodge moves(which is like one of the only ways to use strategy in battle but becomes useless with a time limit). The fact that it gives us six pokemon but only a few minutes gives a huge advantage to more offensive pokemon and a huge disadvantage to defensive pokemon and I just end up using my dragonite for every boss because of its high dps, instead of focusing on choosing pokemon for type advantages and resistances.

[Idea] Show how many coins a Pokemon returns from a gym with, in the journal

Posted: 12 Jul 2017 09:29 PM PDT

Countless times I've missed the notification that shows how many coins a Pokemon returned with. It'd be convenient if we could see how many coins we got, from the journal.
