I realised how long this post was, TLDR at the bottom.

Over the past nearly 5 years, Minecraft simply hasn't been fun anymore for me. Even though I want to have fun playing Minecraft it seems I quit 10 minutes after starting a new world.

So I have had this problem for a long time now, and I discovered the 2 main culprits of my boredom. Lack of mystery and lack of a goal.

There has been a lack of mystery and curiosity ever since beta 1.8 for me. I already knew how everything worked so where is the fun in doing it all again? In the early days, I didn't even know you could make trapdoors, when I discovered it, all of a sudden, my world was full of trapdoors. Most of the time I had no idea what I was doing but it was fun this way.

The 'End' of Minecraft seems way too forced and isn't a real end. But this isn't my problem, I just simply can't seem to set myself goals anymore, because I don't see the point anymore.

Now, this isn't a post made to trash-talk Minecraft, I made this to clear my mind and ask for help. Is/has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to rejuvenate my passion?

TLDR: Minecraft isn't fun for me anymore, lack of mystery and don't see the point in setting goals. Anyway to revive my passion for the game?
