| Official post on UoL Facebook page about Rift Rivals Finals. Posted: 10 Jul 2017 04:49 AM PDT https://www.facebook.com/UnicornsOfLove/posts/689337524591113 Transcript: Unicorns ! Veni, Vidi, Perdidi : We came, We saw, We lost. Team SoloMid destroyed us 3-0 in the #RiftRivals final on Saturday, after a solid performance over the whole tournament. GGWP, they were the best by far. This was a though loss, an eye-opening experience and a painful memory to carry around. This seal the faith of Europe vs NA for the next months, it is now NA > EU, and we have nothing to say against it. We failed, we all failed : Fnatic LoL Team, G2 Esports, Unicorns Of Love. Maybe Europe was over-confident? Maybe NA was super-ready? Bjergsen was too strong. MikeYeung was too strong. We sucked. It's important to acknowledge how strong they were. This game is fair : we lost because of us. This is the reality to face if you want to be able to say "we won because of us." Luckily, this tournament was just for meme and glory : we did not lose any "seeding points" for international events, the money prize-pool was small, and it was in Berlin so we did not have to travel around. It's better to lose now than getting crushed during Worlds Group Stage. Time to go back to LCS with a new mindset : yes we are good, but we are far from the best. Really far. Reaaaally far. Good news: we know how to get back on track. Can we work as efficient as we would like to? The next weeks will tell us about it. Love and NA>EU, Sheepy & Khagneur [link] [comments] | ||

| Wickd looking for people to coach for free Posted: 10 Jul 2017 05:23 AM PDT Hey Reddit, ex professional player Wickd here. I have over 7 years of experience in League Of Legends now, playing professionally from before season 1 till season 6. As an experiment, I'd like to coach 5 people for free. The goal is to see how much they can improve with my help. What I will provide as a coach: Up to 10 hours of coaching per person, and will do more depending on improvement. I will be available to trainees during the day and at night. I cleared my friends list on one of my accounts to solely follow the 5 trainees through their progress. 1v1 practice to practice and improve at certain match ups. Requirements: Dedicated players are required to play at least 20 games a week. Play at least 2 of the champions listed at the bottom at their current rank. Decent level of English Play or have an account on EUW If you cover those requirements send me an email of why I should choose you at wickdreplays@gmail.com. Hope to have a fun time with you guys <3 Champ list: Renekton, Jarvan, Gnar, Rumble, Camille, Jax, Shen, Fiora, Irelia, Kennen, Galio [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 10 Jul 2017 08:01 AM PDT When Sion got his visual update about 3 years ago, his taunt to Urgot is "hey uhh Urgot . . we . . can't hang out anymore, I'm cool now" Well now that Urgot is fucking badass now will they be friends again? | Support main meets AD main on the Rift. 10 months later, they meet up IRL Posted: 10 Jul 2017 01:01 PM PDT I usually get one of two reactions when I explain the story of how I met one of my closest friends, Tyson. 1. People think it's unique and cute or 2. They question everything (how do you know if he's lying about himself, etc). I personally think that our story is pretty sweet and fun to share, so I thought I'd tell it to the League community. In early September of last year, I was in a Morgana support phase. Back then, I was either Plat 4 or 5. (I still am. Haha.) I didn't usually add people from games unless they really stood out to me. However in this one ranked game, I was put into the same team as an AD main who was in a Jhin phase. We worked together quite nicely in laning phase, and we threw out mini compliments/smiley faces here and there. We won and added each other in the post-game lobby. During the next few weeks, we discovered that we shared a similar, extremely terrible sleeping schedule because we would both be online at the same crazy times. So we'd invite one another to duo ranked games and for a while, only played Jhin and Morgana. Over time, we'd briefly talk to one another in the League chat boxes while waiting for the queues to pop, and one day I gave him my number, inviting him to text me whenever he wanted to play games (I know, super nerdy). Eventually, I was invited to join a group discord call. The rest is history. We would voice coms every time we duoed and began texting about topics other than League. Soon enough, we started joking about me visiting him. Then the joking became more serious. A little less than 4 months after meeting each other on League, we met up IRL. In December, I drove 15hrs with the help of my sister, and I got to see my duo buddy face-to-face. It was awkward at first, but after we shook off the nerves of 'what if he/she hates me IRL,' we enjoyed some relaxed movie watching and Wii gaming. The title of this post is slightly deceptive because the 10 month reunion was actually the second time we met IRL-- that reunion happened a couple days ago! In this day and age, there's a stigma against meeting people online and then following it up with something IRL, but it worked in our case. We chat frequently about anything and everything, and like I mentioned in the beginning, he's now one of my closest friends. I always tell people that deciding to pick up League of Legends was a huge turning point in my life. Ironically enough, this video game was the reason why & how I found the majority of my closest friends. So thank you, League. Among all the toxic, inting, disagreeable players, you matched me with MrWindowSeat and gave me my best friend. Here are some pictures of us two from the 10 month-iversary. [Edit: Thank you for sharing all of your duo buddy stories in the comments! And yes, #prayforMrWindowSeat. If you'd like to watch us, I sometimes stream our games on twitch . We're awkward, we're the only ones who think we're funny, but we're always happy to meet new people :)] [link] [comments] | ||
| Suggestion: Allow us to zoom more out, when watching replays in the league client. Posted: 10 Jul 2017 06:05 AM PDT I feel like being able to get a good overview of what is happening in-game would be a good addition to the replay system. It will allow for easier analysis of the map and the current situation you're in. I know that i'd appreciate it a lot, so i thought that others might aswell. [link] [comments] | ||
| Muramana should show the amount of damage it does and not "3% of your current mana x 2" Posted: 10 Jul 2017 01:55 AM PDT This is a quality of life change that we all forget about Every item is getting reviews and clarification but this little sad Muramana still shows only "3%" of your mana. Even the AP brother, Seraph's Embrace, shows how big the shield can be with your current mana. Having an idea of how much damage can an item do is really important in my opinion and everyone kinda forgot muramana on this point. I hope u all have a nice day :) [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 10 Jul 2017 05:31 AM PDT Hey there, just wanted to let people know that Dun, the one and only Viktor OTP in Challenger and Ex-rank 10 Challenger in Season 6 (iirc) has just reached Challenger 447 LP with a whopping 78% win ratio in a total of 96 wins and 27 losses while also taking #1 Viktor WORLD as the only 6000 LolSkill Viktor while on NA, all 3 of his accounts take #1,#2,#3 positions respectively (http://www.lolskill.net/top/highest-lolskillscore?filterChampion=112&filterRealm=NA) For people who don't know him very well, Dun was a notorious Viktor player back in Season 6 where Viktor was regarded as one of the meta mid laners. During his explosive climb throughout the Challenger ladder all the way up to Rank 10~, he was thought to be a scripter (albeit he wasn't) due to his one and only champion he mastered which was Viktor and received seemingly high praise from other players such as Doublelift who after a certain point, would permanently ban Viktor whenever possible in respect for Dun and verbally called him NA Crown. HUGE UPDATE: https://gyazo.com/88dff64478e94122f1666ba3c5f6fe6f Doublelift has once again fallen to the one true Viktor God. | Can EU/NALCS casters include at the beginning of the match a list of each player's champion? Posted: 10 Jul 2017 08:32 AM PDT So I drive a LOT for my job and most of the time while driving I flip on twitch audio and tune into the games of EULCS and NALCS. It actually is super easy to follow and entertaining, but my one complaint that became obvious after Rift Rivals is that there isn't a moment before the match starts where each player's champion is listed. It becomes a bit of a mental juggle for the first 5 to 10 minutes of identifying which champion is which player since it's sometimes used interchangeably and I don't have any video while driving to identify it. Just a thought to help some of us out, but other than that keep up the great work! [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 10 Jul 2017 12:33 AM PDT I'm Gold I in my promos for Plat (OCE so pretty much silver). And my very first game of promos I played Thresh support into a Blitz/Eve, supporting a Draven. Was an extremely average game by me, and because of this, the entire game Draven was flaming me. It wasn't too bad until our mid Corki joined in as well. Not gonna lie the shit talk definitely effected how I was playing. Ended up muting them both; but at the end of the game our top lane Karthus added me and sent me a few messages: "Hey mate, just wanted to say again, DW about that Draven. I watched the replay, u did nothing to warrant his rage. In fact, he was the one who got hooked almost every time, got caught out by eve... flashed to take kills that were already secured by my ult (instead of focusing others to kill them), and then inting and getting caught out...and obviously typing 24/7 and not concentrating. So DW most likely he is a smurf, banned on his previous account for toxicity, so keep playing what u enjoy, u got a >50% winrate, so all g" I've never had someone literally go back and watch a replay just to back up a random team mate. Just wanted to show yall how amazing this guy is. Went on to the next game soloq after getting this message and didn't tilt anywhere near as bad (still lost though - Morg support sucks when people actually know how to dodge). TL;DR Good guy Karthus had my back after playing like sh*t [link] [comments] | ||
| What I'd like to see in the coming EU LCS games Posted: 10 Jul 2017 05:57 AM PDT I hope in the following EU LCS games, the casters/analysts can point out what EU should have learned from Rift Rivals (warding, jungle aggression, mid priority.... etc) and then talk about whether they actually improved or not, for example, ward count difference before/after RR, time spent in enemy jungle for junglers. As an avid watcher of both EU and NA LCS, I'd like to see EU improve after Rift Rivals! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 10 Jul 2017 04:53 AM PDT It's irelia for me, there are others of course. But irelia isnt a common pick and alot of really good top laners can absolutely stomp with her. Plus, it seems like a common booster pick. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 10 Jul 2017 06:33 AM PDT This argument flared up in Korea's league of legend community, inven, after LCK's loss against LPL in Rift Rivals. Because this was such an unexpected loss, there were people who seriously insulted the players. Some even called the players "betrayers of Korea". In response to this, the Korean caster CloudTemplar said that the people who insult the players at that degree are stupid idiots. However, in response to CloudTemplar's response, some users of the inven community started flaming CloudTemplar, saying that the users who seriously insult the players are still "fans". They also included that in order for e-sports to become accepted as a real sport, these people should be considered "fans" too. What do you think of this? Do you agree or disagree?
