Streamer Sundays Weekly Discussion Posted: 15 Jul 2017 05:11 PM PDT Do you enjoy watching streamers? Do you wish there was an easier way to find new up-and-coming streamers beyond the well-known, established Twitch goliaths? Do you have a stream yourself? Are you looking to get exposure but not sure how given how Twitch displays streams and how one-shot stream promotion posts on Reddit tend to get ignored? Is anyone still reading these questions? This thread is for you! If you are a streamer or know of a cool, lesser-known (read: doesn't regularly pull in 1K+ viewers) streamer feel free to post the URL and a short, informative pitch about why you feel others would be interested to watch it. Why should someone watch your suggested stream rather than one of the hundreds of other streams out there? The next great streamer might be just one comment away. Enjoy! Note: I am a bot. Posted: 16 Jul 2017 04:26 AM PDT Don't know if this was widely known but I just encountered it by accident and thought it was pretty neat. EDIT: getting a lot of hate in the comments claiming it is false, which I understand since there is no screenshot to back it up. Sure as hell reminded me why I barely post on reddit anymore. I was just brainlessly completing a play 50 rogue cards quest when it happened so maybe I fucked up to observe how it exactly happened. You can think what you like, just thought to share something interesting and didn't expect it to reach the top of this sub. Peace out. [link] [comments]

Simulating the new pack opening rules: 25-30% more unique legendaries Posted: 16 Jul 2017 06:56 AM PDT I finally got around to implementing the new pack opening rules on my mass pack opening simulator (Packr). According to my small sample size tests you will get about 25-30% more unique legendaries. This is a huge improvement. However, this also has a downside - you will get 5-15% less dust from extras. This might be important for people who only dust extras. Furthermore, the fact that you are guaranteed to get a legendary in your first 10 packs means that for 50 packs you are most likely going to get 3 legendaries. The rule that "you will never open more copies of any card in a pack than you can use in a single deck" do not really affect set completion, as this is a really fringe case only affecting about .3% of packs. Please do run your own experiments (especially if you have some statistics background): you can generate some packs with the new rules here, and with the old rules here. Again, this assumes that my simulations are accurate - which might not be the case. Have fun :) [link] [comments]

Posted: 16 Jul 2017 08:23 AM PDT It makes sense if you look at the wording of the cards, still surprised me a lot when this happened in an arena game. Maybe this information wins someone a Tavern Brawl or Arena game sometimes. [link] [comments]

Am I the only one who hates Murlocs MUCH more than Pirates? Posted: 16 Jul 2017 06:44 AM PDT Title. Seems like everone here talk about Pirates while Murlocs are so much more annoying IMO. [link] [comments]
As a compulsive pack opener, the current wait is excruciating. Posted: 16 Jul 2017 06:47 AM PDT Totally unimportant, but anyone else agree with me here? I'm someone who always tries to open their new packs as soon as they can, so waiting to open all the new ones I accumulate in the next few weeks is gonna be a real test. Legit nearly opened my HCT reward packs today before I remembered - God I wish I was more patient... [link] [comments]

Posted: 16 Jul 2017 06:45 AM PDT Many of you might have never seen it in a match but know about the card: Elite Tauren Chieftain was awarded for buying a (virtual) ticket to Blizzcon 2013 and was found in the Promo set (now Hall of Fame) since. It was peculiar because it introduced a minion type/tribe that does not exist: One of the cards created by the Chieftain, Power of the Horde summons a random Horde Warrior. Are there any other "invisible" minion types? (Other than the Gadgetzan faction cards). There are 6 outcomes: Two orcs, two Tauren, a Blood Elf and a However since the card was added in December 2013, a huge number of Horde warriors were added to the game (and some cards that existed back then were Horde Warriors as well) Today we have almost 30 Blood Elves alone and an equal number of Orcs and half as many Tauren and Trolls TL;DR: Should the rest be added to the possible outcome? Not that I will ever play the card but... [link] [comments]

I hope we get a low-cost lifesteal beast in this expansion. Posted: 15 Jul 2017 06:05 PM PDT I just think it would be cool if the hunter hero card got indirect synergy by either a hunter or neutral beast with lifesteal that costs 5 or less. Could potentially make any minion generated into a comeback card that allows you to regain some health late in the game. If it is good enough to be run in the deck it would also give control hunter much needed support. [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Jul 2017 01:57 PM PDT Got my 4 packs and pulled Spiritsinger Umbra. Praise him! Edit: Priase/Praise/Prius/Porous/Pious/Penis...same thing. Edit 2: Thanks for getting this front page everyone, we are all thankful to Packlento. [link] [comments]
Are there any variations of mill decks still out there in standard? Posted: 16 Jul 2017 05:43 AM PDT I loved the old Mill Rogue. Gang up and things like that was awesome. Never got to try the mill Druid. But are there any mill decks still out there? Curious to find out, I tried to make a mill druid with one card of jade idol to counter fatique but it didn't really work. Anyone got any ideas? It doesn't have to be a good deck, I just wanna have fun. [link] [comments]
Do you think Paladin needs one or two worthless taunt? Posted: 16 Jul 2017 09:14 AM PDT I think Paladin has the best taunts in the game and that's why he has the better value from Stonehill Defender [link] [comments]
So, What's The State of Quest Rogue? Is The card somehow still playable or not? Posted: 16 Jul 2017 10:00 AM PDT Well, we all know what happened back in the Un'goro Reveal days and how the majority of the community (or at least the upvote world of Reddit) saw in the Rogue's quest something defined as "literally garbage". Back in the day I was on a different opinion, enforced by the idea thata a permanent Buff might have been a cool swing for some wacky control rogue with shadowcasters and such. Therefore i Found myself crafting The quest the very first days, encouraged even by the clamour that was coming by the news of Dog reaching legend rank 1 and so justifying the crafting of what was a wacky card for me. I started playing with some C'thun rogue quest in both wild and standard, having overall some fun with it in the first days, but later i struggled since the meta started to define and people had access to stronger and better netdecks, leaving no room for a silly deck. I wasn't exaclty shocked by it, i kept on trying to create a deck with it (the most absurd and proud of them will remain a Reno-Gang up Weasel tunneler in wild) but i started to realize that Quests themselves aren't exactly flexible cards. You can't experiment too much with them since their reason to be is to complete what is written in there, and everything is based on how efficiently you can complete them. Later in the Meta, QR was a scary sight on matchups. The "Late Game Win Condition" was happening on turn 4 and you were getting destroyed by 1 mana 5/5 charge minions without any measure to counter them and boy, that hurts to watch, to play against and even to play with. I hated the aggro playstyle of what i thought was more a mid-range-ish quest and i started to not play it anymore. And now, the Nerf. We have time until the 24th to disenchant it for a full dust refound, and altough i like to keep even crappy cards, I see no more plays with it in the current state, and probably i won't hold any regrets. Surely not for wacky decks, maybe not for competitive (boring playstylewise to me) decks. So after this long post about my (irrilevant) story with it, what's the current situation of the Quest? (Shame that we got no chance to see cards from KFT, i will eat my shorts if I find out later a crazy stupid silly combo with it :D ) [link] [comments]
Tavern Brawl Request: Boss Leader Battle Posted: 15 Jul 2017 07:01 PM PDT After the Arthas boss fight is released with KFT, there will be nine major bosses released. I would love to re a brawl in the style of the last Boss Battler featuring only the head honchos: Arthas (as Paladin) Rafaam (as Rogue) Ragnaros (as Warrior) Nefarian (as Druid?) Kel'Thuzad (as Priest) Prince Malchezar (as Warlock) Kazakus (as Mage) Aya Blackpaw (as Shaman) Don Han'Cho (as Hunter) Personally I would love this! Though I would want the Mean Streets bosses to have more MSG class cards than the last time we saw them. What do you think? [link] [comments] |
