I like Fallout 4's verticality Posted: 17 Jul 2017 08:37 AM PDT Most of the combat and scavenging in previous fallout games has been in floors of buildings or on the ground. There's nothing like climbing the rooftops of Boston on a sunny day or shooting enemies from above in fallout 4. The game even encourages this by adding planks and plenty of stairs to walk up. I know fallout 4 gets a lot of shit, but I personally like how firefights seem more dynamic because of this. [link] [comments] |
I'm loving New Vegas during my first playthrough but Cazadors can go fuck themselves! Posted: 17 Jul 2017 07:31 AM PDT I'm playing on an easier difficulty because I'm kind of a noob and during honest hearts Giant cazadors continue to mess me up! [link] [comments] |
I wish Fallout 4 had a "No Gods, No Masters" option Posted: 17 Jul 2017 01:00 PM PDT I did not really fully like any of the factions in Fallout 4. I wish there was an option to work with a friendly bot like Yes Man, or a faction that actually obeys you, and take over the commonwealth, chosing how to deal with each faction (destroy, capture, ally). It could have been done with a raider faction, or maybe the slaves from Nuka World. [link] [comments] |
The positive aspects about fallout 4 Posted: 17 Jul 2017 01:07 PM PDT So I saw in one of the posts a comment about a FO4 positive only thread would turn into a "FO4 SUX NV RULES" thread within an hour. So, this is the challenge. Try to keep this post about the positive aspects of FO4 for a day. I will start: The gunplay is awesome. EDIT: We got past the hour mark! Now we just need to survive for 23 more! EDIT: WE DIED D: At the 2 hour mark almost. Blame /u/Taylor7500. EDIT 3: I'm going to change the rules slightly to keep the thread alive: If 50% or more of the posts become negative to fallout 4 is when we die. [link] [comments] |
Anyone else feel lockpicking in Fallout 4 in general is really unrewarding? Posted: 17 Jul 2017 12:45 PM PDT In Fallout 3 and New Vegas lockpicking felt like a worthwhile skill to take to be able to access unique areas and weaponry/unique loot. In Fallout 4, however, when I lockpick a master safe expecting some sort of great reward, all I get is slightly more of the same bottlecaps, pre-war money, and a pipe revolver that I would get if I lockpicked open a novice safe. It doesn't feel like a satisfying perk to invest in unless you want to bypass a dungeon. [link] [comments] |
When did you really get into Fallout NV? Posted: 17 Jul 2017 10:00 AM PDT I've started the game multiple times and I also got some mods to add a bit more to the experience, but I just cant get into it. I loved Fallout 3 and I want to get into NV. I've done the short quest in the starting town a couple times as well as getting to the town just down the road. When did you know you were addicted to it? [link] [comments] |

Laser Rifle Collectible prop that came with LootCrate (+ Bottlecap) Posted: 17 Jul 2017 11:25 AM PDT |
Posted: 17 Jul 2017 03:41 PM PDT It takes the right 1/3 of the screen, then the smoke emissions fog up the center 2/3s. Someone should make a mod to make that thing smaller! [link] [comments] |
When did the Children of Atom become so violent? Posted: 17 Jul 2017 01:42 AM PDT They just worshiped an undetonated nuke in one town and never really forced their beliefs on anyone. But ten years later and they kill anyone who doesn't believe in Atom. They hunt down any apostates to their religion. How did they get so militant? [link] [comments] |
Do you guys anticipate a Fallout 3 or Fallout: NV port for current gen consoles? Posted: 17 Jul 2017 11:47 AM PDT Is there any possibility? Especially considering how much Bethesda loves putting Skyrim in everything wouldn't there be a possibility? [link] [comments] |

What is your favorite fallout game? Posted: 17 Jul 2017 03:29 PM PDT Don't just pick something because someone else does. What's your actual favorite? Mine is fallout 4 but the next down is fallout 3. Never was a big fan of vegas. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jul 2017 12:11 AM PDT If you don't know who Kaga is you don't have the restoration project (the GOG version has it built-in). He is the previous "chosen one" you might have heard whispers about in Arroyo and who "went over to the dark side". He'll attack you with a few henchmen in a random encounter (can be bypassed with outdoorsman) and is fairly impossible to deal with if you just started. I usually kill him mid-game when I feel strong enough, but in this particular game I reached lvl 18 before I ever dealt with him. I was just on my way to SF when he showed up as described and started spamming plasma grenades hitting our group as a combat starter. Had a whopping 471 HP as well, so I had to reload even though I have marcus (with minigun and advanced power fist) and cassidy (sniper rifle, combat armor, has pancor jackhammer as well), as well as 119 HP, combat armor MkII, 150% small guns, 12 AP, bonus rate of fire and a .223 pistol as main weapon with a speedloader .44 magnum revolver as backup (the latter costs one less AP and reloads with only 1 AP, the only game to do so). He still showed up twice more, also requiring reloads, but then I made it to SF. Guess getting powerarmor myself and gauss weaponry is right next on my list - luckily that's pretty much the quest level I am at, so it's fine :) But I had no idea he could reach these heights! Am I the Only One Who Sets Every Friendly Dog I Come Across Essential? Posted: 17 Jul 2017 05:37 AM PDT Whenever I stumble upon non-hostile dogs in the Wasteland (of 3, NV, and 4), I always open up the console commands and flag them as essential so they won't die. I also use the console to add the dog brain in New Vegas' Nothing But a Hound Dog. I think I'm the only one who does this...unless someone proves me wrong? [link] [comments] |
Anyone else encounter this in F:NV with Animal Friend perk? Posted: 17 Jul 2017 09:34 AM PDT The in-game description says the first rank of the perk renders animals (like mongrels, night stalkers, most geckos, etc.) non-hostile and with the second rank those animals will come to aid in a fight if they're nearby. I've taken the perk in a couple of playthroughs and each time I've done it, I've often had the affected animals come rushing to my aid even though I only have the first rank. Is this a common bug? We made a Discord server for Bethesda games Posted: 17 Jul 2017 10:06 AM PDT Hello everyone! I hope you're having an excellent day We have set up a Unofficial Bethesda server on Discord. It has all different kinds of Bethesda games, and types. Also, there's a spot to talk about games OTHER than Bethesda as well! We have prided ourselves with trying to be different and one of a kind. We hope to stick with that! This server is not lead by one person, but by three different people. Not to mention, anyone can become a moderator! [: This server has been in the planning for a couple of weeks now, and we believe it's ready to be put up for public access. If you want to join The Unofficial Bethesda Server, just click the link below! We can't wait to see you there! (: https://discord.gg/gRabUfC [link] [comments] |
Question about the raider settlements Posted: 17 Jul 2017 12:10 PM PDT I have a long list of settlements that can become outposts but only one of them can be a vassal? Is there a way to make any of them a vassal? Thanks [link] [comments] |
What 'virtuous' options are there in Nuka-World? (Possible spoilers) Posted: 17 Jul 2017 06:06 AM PDT I waited until level 50 (survival mode) to visit the Transit Terminal, managed to make it through the Gauntlet (lucking my way through the 'audience participation' segment), took out the Overboss with his bumper car power armor, and Gage is now trying to force me to be the new boss man and create a raider army to scourge the Commonwealth. My current character is a good guy, the Minuteman general who doesn't hold truck with raiders. My only options now are...what? To sneak back to the Nuka-World tram and slink back to the Commonwealth in shame? Or to kill the literal army of raiders populating Nuka-Town, on Survival mode, all of whom immediately go hostile the second I take out any single faction leader? Is there really no other options? I can't convince them to be good, or to leave Nuka-World, or bring in my own militia to help, or take the leaders down in some quest based or alternative fashion? And even if I do manage to just face-to-face murder the raider leaders and the dozens and dozens of leveled grunts serving them...what then? Is there some alternate story mission after that, to reshape Nuka-World into a benign city? Are there at least side missions to do after the raiders are gone? Or is this DLC just pointless if you're not a bastard? [link] [comments] |
What enclave power armor would be best? Posted: 17 Jul 2017 03:46 PM PDT I'm planning on doing Arcade Gannon's personal quest and I'm not sure whether to get have him join the remnants and obtain the regular enclave remnant armor or to not have him join and obtain the Gannon family power armor [link] [comments] |
Need help with a glitch on shadow of steel (fo4) Posted: 17 Jul 2017 11:33 AM PDT After arriving at the pridwyn and exiting the virtibird I have a minigun with infinate ammo equiped but I cannot equip any other weapon. There's just a pop up that say I cannot equip this item. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm on xb1 if it helps [link] [comments] |
