Posted: 16 Jul 2017 09:43 AM PDT So. I'm not sure if they have ever said they are going to do anything with these, but from my past MMO experiences they always end up creating a reward system. I really think this would be a neat feature for this game. Kind of like gw2 did. Different tiers of rewards you hit via the more achievement points you acquire. Could give us cool stuff like mounts, personalities, furniture, and costumes! I'd honestly really like to see this as I try and get all the achievements when DLCs have come out. Would love to have even more incentive to do so instead of just watching my number slowly climb. I mean there has got to be a reason they added the achievement "points" in the first place, right? I appreciate how lively this game feels Posted: 16 Jul 2017 09:56 AM PDT Hallo fronds. I've returned to this game after many months and trying out many other MMOs, and the moment that I came back to this one, I remembered why it was my favorite. I just love how much stuff is going on in the world. There are NPCs bumbling around, there are consequences to my actions. Only yesterday did I find out that helpful NPCs will just stop talking to you if your bounty is high enough. So few MMOs have worlds that feel like they're... well... worlds. The other thing that's nice is that I don't feel any pressure to grind. ESO's world is engaging enough that I just want to take everything at my own pace and really enjoy the experience. While I know the game isn't perfect, it's still my favorite MMO out there and I only hope that ZOS's future expansions keep adding the best that they can bring to this beautiful, immersive world! [Discussion] Ideas for alternate characters in Player Housing. Posted: 16 Jul 2017 08:09 PM PDT First off, I know there is a thread on this subject every five minutes. I just want to throw in my five cents. Alright, now that that is out of the way, I, as many of you may have guessed, support the idea of alternate characters preforming as NPCs in a player's house. This also extends to specific characters as well, I like NPCs in houses in general. Therefore I am throwing out my suggestions on how they could be implemented. First off, I believe that placement of NPCs should tie into either the "Other Collectibles" section or a similarly small "NPC" section. You should be able to have one in Staple homes, four in Classic homes and the number equal to the number of character slots you have unlocked in Manor homes. You should be limited to placing each character in one house, so you can not have "Alyssia the Bard" in four of your houses. At stock NPCs should stand still, much like the Banker, Broker and other assistants. However, you should be able to purchase "Housing behaviors" from the crown store, and to be able to equip them under Collections, much like Personalities or Costumes, the behaviors would range from a series of jobs, such as Guard, Merchant, Banker, Broker, Bard, etc. Each would have specific roles, the banker would function exactly like the banker assistant, as would the broker and the merchant. The bard would stand where he or she was placed and would play an instrument that you would select when choosing your "Housing Behavior." The Guard would patrol, you would choose where he would patrol through a series of paths, you would click the guard, click a bind for set path, walk somewhere, and click an area on the ground. If there were any furniture or items between the guard and his point the point would fail to set, and if any items were placed on the set the path would be reset. Once you have set the path you would be able to set a time to idle and a direction the Guard would face. You would be able to set paths from that endpoint and if you wished to you could even have your guard doing full patrols of your house (With the exception of using doors that would be wacky and would throw a wrench in my entire idea because it would ruin the intuitiveness.) The Guard would act much like a town guard, except they would not try to accost you or your guests, so like a cosmetic guard. If you did not have a personality you could bind together a NPC and a furniture item, such as a chair, and the NPC would sit in that item until they were unbound from the chair. This would allow people to set up their houses or Manors with a certain bustle of life, and bring a use to the merchant stalls you can buy. Thank you for reading please comment your ideas to expand upon this in any way you can. [link] [comments]
Free Crown Crates TODAY! Read before opening! Drop rate data collection! Posted: 17 Jul 2017 04:18 AM PDT Hey everyone! So, today is the big day. If you were around during the ESO Plus bonus event, you will be receiving your free crown crates after the maintenance. If you're on PC/Mac, please considered getting the CrownCrateLogger addon before opening them. This addon automatically records every item you receive from crown crates, and everyone's data is then gathered here so we can get a better idea of the drop rates. (You'll need an ESO forum account to share your addon results.) Otherwise, if you're on console or if you don't feel like getting the addon, you can submit your card drops manually here. They will be added to this document, which also contains all of CrownCrateLogger's data. Thank you for participating in this community effort to gather data about the crown crate drop rates! Gold recipes going away with patch Posted: 16 Jul 2017 03:50 PM PDT Does anyone know which gold recipes are being removed with the upcoming patch? I'm racing to get vouchers so I can try to get them all, but I don't know if it's just the furniture ones or also the dummies and Ambrosia. Anyone know? EDIT: For clarity, I'm asking about the recipes sold by the Master Writ guy which use writ vouchers. Apparently they're being removed and changed. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jul 2017 12:45 PM PDT My main crafter is a sorc with all 9 traits in all pieces of equipment, and most motifs. There was a time when he would run through a the usual series of six crafting quests, and have a 50% chance, roughly, of getting a sealed master writ with more than 10 vouchers. But something happened early this year, and my guy now gets nothing above 5 vouchers, and most of the time gets no sealed writs at all. I have another character who has nine traits in most areas, but lacks full development in blacksmithing and woodworking. [edit] Thank you. I appreciate hearing that others are seeing the same. [edit 2] For those folks who are reporting that "I got a master writ worth xx vouchers today," this anomaly is being reported here by multiple high level players who are sharing their personal observations. One case does not disprove anything. I hope ZOS looks into this. Guess what! He gets more writs than my fully developed guy. Guess what else! He mostly gets writs in blacksmithing and woodworking. [PC] DK tank, which dungeon can I solo? Posted: 17 Jul 2017 04:38 AM PDT I want to solo the group dungeons to take my time and loot/read everything. I wear heavy armor and use 2h sword. Lvl 14. Which dungeon is most forgiving for me to try and solo? [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jul 2017 04:43 PM PDT So I just got in as a DPS for CoH II, the Glirion pledge today, and as soon as I loaded in, it said "Removing from area" despite my being in the dungeon group, and loaded into said dungeon of CoH II. Thus I was kicked out and ported back to Malabal Tor, where I was prior, yet now I was out of the group and had a 15 minute restriction before I could queue again. Is anyone else experiencing this bug? Can it be avoided? [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Jul 2017 03:56 AM PDT Looking for some help with my my dk rotation. Right now Im using (1)(Clench Blockade Embers Breath)(2)Eruption FoO Rearming Trap Whip) (3) Whipx4. So my rotation is 12131213 but im clipping my breath and embers by 2 seconds. Is there a better way? [link] [comments]
Skyreach runs cost for effectiveness Posted: 16 Jul 2017 04:14 PM PDT I've been wanting to level a magsorc but dolmens are too slow currently for me. I can't solo skyreach with my level of training gear. How many runs would it take to level from 15-45 with 7 pieces plus staff of blue training gear, eso plus, and 50% experience scroll? I just need a rough estimate because I do not want to spend every last coin on buying runs. [link] [comments]
