Hey folks,

Welcome to Workshop Wednesday, a community-building, regularly occurring thread on the subreddit!

Workshop Wednesday is a thread aimed at all things crafting, from sharing tips and knowledge, providing assistance, or offering crafting services to others.

Got a way to get more of those pesky crafting mats into your inventory? Have a rare recipe you're willing to produce for others? Just want to help with crafting as a whole? Let the community know here!

Crafting is a deep system in The Elder Scrolls Online with multiple professions, so be sure to participate in the thread whether you're a crafting novice or a master at sweetroll baking.

Please keep in mind the 'no personal attacks' rule in our sidebar, disagree respectfully with others, and know that a repeated or seemingly obvious bit of knowledge may not be obvious to everyone.

In addition, please be careful about posting in-game information about your account name/characters for conducting crafting business. We recommend contact information be shared privately to keep your account secure.

We look forward to your contributions!

Stam DK 40k+ DPS with Maelstrom weapons

Posted: 12 Jul 2017 02:04 AM PDT

Since Morrowind dropped I have been determined to find a build/rotation that would allow myself to do two things. Firstly I wanted to be able to hit above 40k, completely self-buffed, and secondly, I wanted to be able to sustain this and not just have it as a show off target skeleton build.

It took me a little while to figure it out but the last couple of weeks I managed to get a pretty solid build which I'm happy with, also I'm extremely pleased that I don't have to switch to a pure heavy attack build, and managed to maintain my Maelstrom weapons that I farmed so long for!

The parse linked is performed on a robust target skeleton to prove it is able to sustain, using the same build on a standard target skeleton I can hit 41k.

(This is on Xbox, so the few heavy attacks that I do perform are extremely broken and awkward)

Positioning: teach me how ro do it

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 10:49 PM PDT

No, srsly, despite the title, I really need to know how to do it. I am main mag sorc and up until now I've always healed in every single vet dungeon.

I kept reading how sorc is not the best healer, so a couple of weeks ago I started a new toon, a warden, and I want to use it as a healer.

I hit 50 couple of days ago and....I'm lost, honestly.

As a sorc, all I needed to care about was to keep my matriarch alive and that's it. Guess we can say healing as a sorc is "idiots proof" as all you need to do is press a button, literally. Doesn't matter where you stand or where the others are, as long they're in range. Throw some healing springs (coa2 final boss for example) and slot dark exchange and done, that's it! You can heal through all the vet dungeons out there.

Like seriously, out of 12 available slots, I'm using 3 for healing (well 4 considering 2x matriarch) and all the rest are dps skill or shields.

Never had any problem.

But then again, you go around and read that Templar is master of healing and that it's followed by the warden, and because I'm about to start trials, I decided I don't even want to try as a healer sorc.

So here I am, warden 50 and 630cp and I find myself.... Clumsy I guess.

It's all about positioning, and it's really uncomfortable and obviously dps's and tank are never close to each other so even throwing a hot gets hard.

Plus, I don't have any burst heal as a warden, which doesn't help

So yeah, guess I need suggestions.

Any warden healer around?

Ta

How to tell if a dungeon is too hard ahead of time

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 07:11 PM PDT

I'm fairly new to the game. I have a level 25 Nightblade that I'm building to dual wield. I did a random dungeon a few nights ago and it was extremely fun, so i ran through Fungal Grotto I and it was also extremely fun.

Tonight, I tried Fungal Grotto II and I realized that I wasn't ready for it. I don't do enough damage. It took my group forever to finish a boss. The tank and the healer got toxic with each other in the chat. I stayed quiet because I think I was the real problem and I didn't want them to go after me. Eventually, 2 people quit and some really strong players replaced them and carried us through the dungeon.

When I queued for the dungeon, I didn't see any indicators for difficulty. How can I tell if a dungeon is too hard? I felt bad for my team because they queued assuming that one of the damage dealers wasn't totally useless. I don't want to ruin the game for anyone else. Do I need to stay out of dungeons until I get my full kit?

DK tank (and leveling)

Posted: 12 Jul 2017 02:27 AM PDT

I'm looking for an up to date DK tank build (skills and attribute points mainly) for when I hit level 50 and I'm also wondering how I should play a DK while leveling, I suppose going full tank for quests is way too slow so whats the best option?

Addon to see uncompleted quests with skill points as a reward ?

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 05:25 PM PDT

Hi, I'm looking for an addon which would pinpoint me the uncompleted quests which will give a skill point as a reward, whether it would be at the end of a series of quests or not.

Also, how many total skill points are available in the entire game ? (I know there's 133 from shards, and 50 levels)

What do you do to calm your "bad group frustration"?

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 09:40 PM PDT

Just waste almost 2 hours with a group trying to clear a trial...Members kept bailing and being replaced, mics were nothing but people playing guitar or TVs being too loud in the background or dogs barking. At one point I was healing solo and I just said fuck it and left...It was a disaster from the A to Z and I wish I could've done something else with my time instead.

Complete recipe list?

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 11:41 PM PDT

I've spent the last several hours trying to locate a site that lists all available Provisioning and Housing recipes to no avail. Does anyone know of one that lists all recipes and possible locations where they are most likely to be found?

Learning how to craft end-game armor/weapons?

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 09:09 PM PDT

So my guild and I are aiming to experience all of what this game has to offer. I cant seem to find a comprehensive guide or walkthrough that isnt 3 years old so it's hard to figure out what we should be doing now to prepare for it so I was wondering what the good people of /r/elderscrollsonline have used to get raid/trial ready. Specifically looking to have Hundings built for my stamwarden

Best farming spot after morrowind? Both normal and CP levels.

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 11:01 PM PDT

I haven't played for a while, came back now that morrowind got released. I'm CP 310 and would like to make it to 600 ASAP. I know people used to farm skyreach, does it still work or is there a better spot? Also as a secondary question, I'm thinking about making a Warden, where would be the best place to level him up to 50 ASAP?

Thanks in advance!

Level 160 Mag Sorcerer

Posted: 12 Jul 2017 02:44 AM PDT

•Just hit level 160CP! on PS4

•Now i'm struggling on what gear to use and what skills to use. • I have 108k, and don't know really much about the gear sets and weapons.

•I'm super weak, i've tried to do VMA, but the most I do is like 10-15k dps which seems pretty weak to me.

•Can a couple of you come up with a build and skill builds, and how to get the gears and such, i've checked out Alcast and few other people but it's just so confusing to read.

•Thank you for your time to reading this, and hope you have a good day!

How much does race matter for end game dps?

Posted: 11 Jul 2017 08:43 PM PDT

So I've got a Nord stam dk I really want to use as a dps instead of a tank. But I've also got a redguard stam templar. Am I better off using the red guard templar or nord dk, I've heard dks have superb single target dps, and I primarily use 2H/Bow! Thanks!
