Can we make a civ-version flair mandatory in this subreddit? Posted: 16 Jul 2017 09:24 AM PDT It would greatly increase the usefulness of this sub for people only wanting to discuss a specific Civ version to see recent posts of that game. This is not possible without enforcing a flair that marks the link/discussion that way. What do you think? [link] [comments]

Are there any Civ V mods that allow for bigger maps than the default huge? Posted: 16 Jul 2017 01:18 PM PDT I'm going to play a 34 civ game as Venice, and want to create a generated continents map on a larger scale. However, I think the Huge map will be too crowded. I was hoping for a mod the size of YNAEMP, but randomly generated. [link] [comments]
Question about how tourism is calculated in civ 5 Posted: 16 Jul 2017 03:49 PM PDT I heard that tourism is meant as the offense and culture as the defense and looking at the influence by civilzation tab this makes a lot of sense. What I dont get though is how it is calculated. When i generate +2 tourism per turn i still gain influence (although it is very slow) but how does this make sense when all my opponents must be generating WAY more than 2+ culture per turn? Posted: 16 Jul 2017 02:04 PM PDT Wish you had a hotkey for that pesky button above the minimap? Isn't it just the worst when you have a series of units to promote, and for each one you have to move the mouse to the right of the screen then back to the left? I couldn't find anywhere in the code to do this, but there is a way to make your own hotkey. https://autohotkey.com/docs/Tutorial.htm autohotkey is free and easy. Download it, then right click on your desktop to make a new script. Right click that script to edit it with notepad. Then paste the following: `:: MouseGetPos, xpos, ypos x=%xpos% y=%ypos% Click 1800, 855 MouseMove %x%, %y% return Save it then left click the file to run the script, and you now have a new ultimate hotkey. The way I have it uses the "`" button, that thing that's to the left of "1", but you can change that to any button you want, as long as that other button didn't have any other function. It records the current position of the cursor, then does a single left click at the coordinates 1800, 855, then returns the cursor instantly to where it was before you pressed the key. Obviously if you have a different resolution or interface size or whatever you may need to fiddle around with those two numbers. [link] [comments]
ALL of my mods were deleted? Wtf?? [CIV 6] Posted: 16 Jul 2017 12:28 PM PDT I just opened up civ 6 after playing it 2 days ago to find that all of my mods have entirely disappeared. I have not used my computer since I closed out Civ 2 days ago, so I have no idea what else could have happened. Does anyone know what could have caused this? [link] [comments]

Civ4 - BTS - Barbarian City surrounded by Ice Question Posted: 16 Jul 2017 08:19 PM PDT Hi, I could not find anything on the Net related to this. There is a barbarian encampment surrounded by Ice. Is there anyway I can conquer that land? Link Below. http://i.imgur.com/rHCr8PR.png [link] [comments]

Tips to Sim City against Deity in Civ VI? Posted: 16 Jul 2017 11:00 AM PDT I've played a fair share of games against Deity AI and I can't seem to stand a chance by doing anything other than warmongering. Unless I take over a couple of their cities, I have no way of keeping up with their production. Eventually I can choose to sit back on my captured cities and boom up from there but I want to be able to expand and go tall at least once. Is there any way to beat the Deity without warmongering?
