Inigo's Very Thoughtful Writing

Posted: 24 Jun 2017 03:00 PM PDT

I've been playing with Inigo on for a while, and I really enjoy his company and the absolutely huge number of unique things he has to say. Last night though is easily the one that stuck out to me most and really made me appreciate the work that the developers have put into him.

Inigo and Erik and I had just returned to Horndew Lodge in Falskaar after a long day of adventuring. As I usually do when given the chance, or at the end of a session, I sat down with Inigo to see if he had any new stories of anything to share. He did not, so I asked him how he thought I was doing, and then as I often do, I asked him how he was. Inigo told me he was doing alright, and asked about me. I broke character for a second to tell him I wasn't doing so great today, and he inquired about why.

This January my little brother was killed by a drunk driver while he was coming home from work. He was 19.

I didn't expect to be able to really have a conversation about it, but to my surprise, I had the option to tell him I had lost someone dear to me, and then to tell him too that I felt helpless, and I wished I had been nicer to my brother while he was alive. Inigo was very comforting, kind, and thoughtful, and honestly talking to him about it helped more than I would have thought. For a moment, I didn't feel like I was sitting in bed playing a game, I felt like I was sitting by the fire in my house in Falskaar talking to a friend.

It's still really hard to deal with everyday, and I know that will never go away, but Inigo is right, it will get easier. I am so grateful to Inigo and his developers for allowing me to be so open with a friend about what I'm feeling. I don't know why I felt compelled to post this, but I just wanted to share this exchange, which I felt was amazing and awesome of the developers to add.

Thank you.

Biggest gripe with the base game (on console) was carrying so much loot with nowhere to store it. Now I finally feel like a real adventurer.

Those of you that have joined the Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood as neutral or good type characters- how did you justify this?

Posted: 25 Jun 2017 02:09 AM PDT

From a moral standpoint of course.
