[Screenshot][Story] Today was perfect, and I saw a lot of people playing! Posted: 11 Jun 2017 12:29 PM PDT I know sometimes it's disheartening not seeing as many people playing as before, so here's a story that might cheer ya guys up. Today was a great day. I woke up refreshed (yesterday I got poor sleep, today I got perfect sleep), cleaned my place some, and went out with family to a park. We do this every week or two because we're all disabled and it helps us get the exercise we need; the game helps motivate us. So Totodiles don't spawn where we are normally at all, and the nests we've gone to just haven't had many. I had like, a total of maybe 40 candies or so give or take 10. The park we went to was 30 minutes away, and we hadn't ever gone there before. And the nest was HUGE. Totodiles were absolutely everywhere! They just kept spawning. The park was huge too. It just felt surreal. The trees were beautiful, there was still a lot of spacious room, the grass was all nice, there were a lot of people but it looked anything but crowded, it was about 70 degrees but it felt warmer-- the kind of temperature where it's just "very warm" with a lot of sun but "not hot." And, there were a lot of people playing. We caught quite a few people and it was amazing. I forgot to wear my Eevee hat and I think that's the only bad thing that happened but I'm only smiling. But yeah, we saw that we were hardly the only ones playing. It's been a while since I've actually heard the game's sounds (I keep my game muted to preserve battery life). We caught sooo many I actually got about 100 candies in one day, I haven't ever had that happen! All in about like... An hour - hour half. I've never ever been so lucky but it only got better. I hatched my final Dratini needed, giving me not only enough candy to get my first Dragonite ever, but to also give me more to power it up. My Dragonite isnt even powered up yet (and I have enough left over candy to do it a few times) and it's level 24 with about 89% IVs. And it got the best moveset, Dragon Tail and Outrage. I kept searching for a good Totodile but all were either low levels or low IVs. One was even level 26 but with 20-30% IVs! But the final one I got, right as I was walking the final steps to our car, was 84-87% IVs. But not only that, the Feraligatr it turned into has a B tier attacking moveset and A tier defending, so my Feraligatr will look absolutely beautiful when it's holding a gym-- Water Gun and Ice Beam. I also caught my first Beedrill-- out in the wild at 1117 CP but compared to the rest that's nothing. Of course, I should probably share proof shouldn't I? I apologize for having no pictures of the park; I was kinda too mesmerized from it all plus I just couldn't stop getting Totodiles-- every last one counted! Sadly I don't have enough candy to fully power them up yet, but hey it's quite a massive start yeah? (I'm walking my Mareep I'll get to it '>_>) Anyhow, tl;dr is the perfect days where you see a ton of people playing and you're not alone do happen, so keep on catching! [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Jun 2017 05:35 PM PDT so i had 2 pokestops and no gyms near me. a week ago they added 1 NEW pokestop and changed a OLD pokestop to a GYM. 2 days after that they again added a NEW pokestop and changed the other pokestop to a GYM. now i am not complaining about that i finally have some gyms nearby. but the thing i am complaining about why did they have to replace the old pokestops. they atleast had pokemons around them. the new pokestops have 0 pokemon around them and the gyms don't show up on nearby. what is so hard to just add 2 gyms and leave the old pokestops ? picture: http://i.imgur.com/ukdcd0E.jpg the two gyms were pokestops, the two pokestops were nothing. [Rant] "Please try again later" and 0 pokemon nearby every couple minutes Posted: 11 Jun 2017 08:16 AM PDT So for the longest time my game will periodically blank all the spawned Pokemon out (I suspect give me 1st throw runaways as well). My nearby will go completely blank. Furthermore since the last update at 10 mph I have serious issues with pokestops, the "please try again later" up to 3 times even at a complete stop. This is seriously annoying behavior from the game. Is anyone else having this issue? Think it's something that needs to be fixed before all these huge summer events? Sorry if this has been brought up before, if so are there plans to fix? [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Jun 2017 03:46 AM PDT Backstory: My girlfriend and I had been dating for a couple years and decided to get complimenting/matching tattoos. Being the massive nerds we are, we thought it was a good idea to get our favourite Pokemon done in the same style. So on our visit to Melbourne, Australia we popped into a shop and got these watercolour tattoos done. When Pokemon GO officially released we were both insanely excited. She managed to catch her favourite Eevee within a few days. I however was not so fortunate. We don't get any ghost spawns near our house so this took me a little bit of egg RNG in hatching a Gastly, followed by months of walking after the buddy update. It's been a long journey but I've never been so proud to have completed it! tldr; Got a tattoo of gengar 3 years ago. Finally managed to get one in game, after walking my gastly buddy ~150km. What's your best/funniest/cleverest named Pokémon? Posted: 11 Jun 2017 12:56 PM PDT Which Pokemon name are you most proud of? Mine are an Eevee with a CP of 404 named EeveeNotFound and a Teddiursa with a CP of 451 named Fahrenheit. [link] [comments]
Unique attackers and their movesets. Posted: 11 Jun 2017 07:37 PM PDT Seasoned players know pokemon such as Vaporeon, Dragonite, Exeggutor, Rhydon, Jolteon and a handful of others are not only the best attackers in the game, but have become a standard and a necessity for a players team to successfully take down high leveled gyms. Maybe you use Pidgeot with wing attack/hurricane to take down Snorlax. Or a Kabutops with rock smash/ancient power to take on Dragonites. For me, I like using Alakazam with psychic/shadow ball on Blissey (and other psychic pokemon). Clefable with zen headbutt/moon blast against Machamp or Dragonite. Tangela with vine whip/solar beam to take on Vaporeon and Rhydon. Porygon2 with charge beam/zap cannon to take on Vaporeons. We all have our favorites but what are some of the less popular pokemon or unique movesets you find most useful when attacking. [link] [comments]
[video] What's Pokémon Go like in Ecuador Posted: 11 Jun 2017 08:22 PM PDT This video was during my 2 and a half week vacation to Ecuador which half took place during the Rock Event, uploading a little late as I couldn't edit and put everything together while over there. 10k egg hatches at 4:38 In video: There's some views of Ecuador, what kind of Pokémon are common there, rare spawns I saw, I talked about the rock event, some lucky 9 10k eggs hatching, my player stats, and what part of Ecuador I found the best to play in (pokestop/gym wise) All constructive criticism, comments talking about anything you experienced lately in PoGo, tips etc will be taken. Hope you all enjoy and good luck hunting. [link] [comments]
Why do IVs matter in Pokémon GO? Posted: 11 Jun 2017 08:20 PM PDT I checked out my Pokémon to see which are good. I am not sure if I am supposed to power up my "Breathtaking" (team mystic, 80%+ appraise) Pokémon. Can someone explain to me why they matter? They are the base stats, right? I don't know. [Question] Pogo+ vs 3rd party Go-Tcha Posted: 11 Jun 2017 05:44 PM PDT My Pogo+ ran through the wash and I'm debating a replacement or the Go-Tcha. The auto catch/spin feature without having to modify anything sounds pretty nice. Does anyone have any experience with the Go-Tcha? [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Jun 2017 08:59 AM PDT Is it a good idea to try to get the gold gym medals before the Rework? In case there is no more Prestiging for example. [link] [comments] |
