Dear Alexander

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 09:59 AM PDT

  • turn 80 enter war with Alexander.
  • turn 92 his army is no more.
  • turn 105 his defenses are gone (empire wide).
  • turn 109 everything is pillaged.
  • turn 110 trade for cities; make peace.

Turn 111... "WHY WON'T YOU FIGHT FOR YOUR POEOPLE?!?!?!"

... can you maybe like.. chill? or do you want me to make Macedonia extinct?

No, I don't want to be your friend!

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 08:59 AM PDT

I just had to denounce Mvemba A Nzinga because he has been asking for a formal friendship for like 20 turns. I've been burned too many times by the AI asking for a friendship and then turning around and declaring war on a city state for which I am a Suzerain.

There should be an automatic "cooling-off" period where if I say "no" to the AI's friendship request, they can't ask again for 5 turns or something. And they shouldn't be allowed to attack my city states if we're friends.

One spearmen isn't enough, it's simply not!

Am I the only one who believes there should be an "are you sure you want to denounce this leader" option in Civ6?

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 07:19 PM PDT

So close...

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 02:08 PM PDT

Thought for future Civs: Instead of having a single leader per civilization for an entire game, leaders change per era according to your diplomacy.

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 06:37 PM PDT

It would still be the same leader for centuries, but having a single leader for 9000 years has always bothered me. Especially if you're playing in a way that said leader would not act. But if a Civ started with a leader contemporary to the era, and then changed as you advanced thru eras, I think it would add a great element to the game.

Civ 6: Best 'Tall' Civ for creating biggest population in one city

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 09:52 AM PDT

I have an idea for a game I want to try where I limit myself to 4 cities but try to max them out population wise. Ideally I would a city to have over 30 pop. I won't be aiming for a win, I just want to challenge myself.

What civ should I use for this that would give me the best chance of making it happen? I'm thinking china for the additional builder charges and being able to play a stronger culture game so I can hit neighbourhoods sooner.

Who should I use and what strategy to get there?

Earth 2014 Mod with IGE crashes after first few turns

Posted: 12 Jun 2017 05:14 PM PDT

Hello, all.

So, I have been playing a lot of the Earth 2014 Mod recently, but I tend to have issues around four turns in. The game tends to gradually slow down, and then crash. The only other mod I used in IGE (to make sure that some of the cities are named right with the odd TXTKEY... bug caused by calling an XML element twice). Does anyone know why this is happening? It really is enjoyable, for the time I can play it.

Thanks in advance.

What the hell is up with civ VI ai.

So I was playing on a continents map, Arabia was just a bit to my right and China was to the north of me. I managed to become friendly with both of them and had almost +30 good friendships with them. I actually landed up allying with both of them. Anyways, China declares war on me the first turn out of the alliance... What the fuck. I had no units but I still managed to pump a bunch of broken elephants out (Playing using Siam mod) because I was the suzerain of Carthage and had a bunch of faith stored up. I then took China's forward settlement it had placed a while ago (keep in mind when I 'discussed' this with him he said "I didn't realize your city was so close" so I assume he was happy with me at the time), and then his capital. Arabia was a real pal and just converted the cities that I captured as I took China's capital with a bunch of elephants. I made peace with China eventually but he's still mad at me obviously. I mean, I'm seriously really confused on why he did this, this was on Prince difficulty.
