True Dota 2 - Is Midas pretty much necessary on Brood?

Is Midas pretty much necessary on Brood?

I've never played Brood much, but I intend to change that at some point soon since it seems like talents might finally solve a lot of the issues I had with her.

My general idea was to push for absurdly fast XP so the spiders aren't as weak, making it easier to eat the enemy's base. So talent picks would probably go +25% exp gain, 20% CDR, spiderling damage, spiderling HP. With the early XP gain boost and a tome, you could get one of the best CDR talents in the game at level 15 very early, getting you tons of extra gpm and accelerating you to an early set of very strong spiders (675 hp is not very easy for any heroes to clear that early on, and damage is about doubled so damage block doesn't make them irrelevant.

I haven't really seen brood in many competitive matches lately, but is this a viable / common method?

When to get Midas?

Posted: 23 May 2017 03:06 PM PDT

If I am a carry that likes to go late (Slark, Dusa, ect) or a greedy 2-3 core (Necro, seeker) when is it good to get a midas? If you get a few early kills is it always best to buy an early midas (sub 10min) or does it depend on matchup. Sorry if its 3k question but I always feel i get midas at the wrong time and I am not sure if it was worth it.

Ogre Magi Offlane

Not sure if this is already a thing, but been having some fun with Ogre Magi offlane:

http://www.dota2.com/workshop/builds/view?fileid=768273481028335997

He already has the best base HP regen in the game, so I thought I'd build on that and use it a survivability mechanism. I'm a sucker for mangoes on certain offlaners who can make use of extra mana to turn fights around like Bristleback or Timbersaw.

Soul ring is another item that works great on those kind of heroes, which I also build on Timber and Bristle, so I thought why not try it on Ogre too!

My usual strat is to make use of the massive HP regen and bully cheeky supports out of the lane whilst giving the carry a good whack now and then for good measure.

After I get soul ring I just spam ignite on the weakest hero in the lane constantly, whilst trying not to hit creeps with it, which pushes the lane.

Once I get Aether Lens and levels in my ultimate, Ignite has an absolutely insane range and I use it on enemies whenever I can. Going into the mid and late game I build him into general CC/utility. Not sure about the Veil pickup yet, still playing around with that a bit but I'm open to suggestions.

Aghs is critical in the later stages as the extra stun is invaluable. Unfortunately he's pretty luck dependant sometimes when it comes to turning team fights in your favour, but with Aghs his stun potential is doubled and you can always be sure you'll be able to cast it, if nothing else.

Again, I'm not sure if this is already a thing, but even if it is it'd be nice to open a discussion about it and hear what you guys think could improve it.

How are you building bristle?

Posted: 23 May 2017 09:43 AM PDT

So i know its game dependant but generally speaking.

I've been opening 2x Mango, stout, clarity and a tango set. In lane i'll add quelling, boots and Ring of health.

From their i've found myself switching between finishing the crimson or going arcanes matchup dependant of course. Either way i find arcanes to be the best boots for bristle for mana issues, the orb can be used later for lotus or you can keep it for greaves.

On the subjerct of greaves the item is incredible on him, i got a 14 min greaves earlier and was literally unkillable.

Often i will find myself having crimson, mek and arcanes and from there the build will diverge into either greaves/pipe/lotus/blademail or crest. Lategame Radiance/Octarine and Heart?

Talents ive been going is strength at 10, health at 15, spell life steal at 20 . 25 i find both very useful and am probably 60/40 towards the +quill dmg.

The buff to his quill radius actually made a huge difference.

Question about GPM on the end screen.

Posted: 23 May 2017 08:32 AM PDT

So I think that the GPM in the end screen always puts the huge gold increse you get at the end of the game when you take all the raxs and stuff... So I wonder, how can you know how well did you farm that game without having in consideration the gold that you get for winning the game?

For exemple, I had a game right now and it felt close at the farm we had, but I've got 500 GPM in the end and the enemy carry (who had almost the same power as me) 300 GPM. It's really 200GPM killing all the raxs and towers on the base?

It feels sometimes that it adds alot of GPM when you are winning.

Would like to hear your thoughts on Enigma's Level 15 +120 GPM/-15% CD Reduction talent as well as Phoenix's +150 GPM/+65 Fire Spirits Damage talent.

Title as it is. Which Level 15 talent do you prefer on these heroes and why?
