Let's talk Melee

Posted: 30 May 2017 12:05 PM PDT

Hey everyone this is Champ from 2GG,

We are finally at the final phase of jumping back into melee and we're really excited! We been planning this for a while now and with all the relationships and collaborations we have acquired, we feel confident that we'll be able to reintroduce ourselves with a bang for the community.

That being said, one of the reason we're successful in the past with melee and currently with Smash 4 is because we always listen to the community and always do everything we can to make it happen. We ourselves are smashers and wants to create events for smashers all around.

So, tell us:

  • What is something that melee events have that needs to be at our comeback melee event?

  • What is something that melee events doesn't have that needs to be at our comeback melee event?

  • Which players needs to be at our melee events? I think I know the answer to this

  • How should the bracket be structure? Double elim? Triple elim? Ladder? Round Robin? QUADRUPLE elim?!

  • What should be the entry fee? Should it be a monthly? 1 VS 2 VS 3 day events? Do you want Sagas? Chronicles? Arcs?

The way I remember hosting melee is the golden age era and that's the feel I want to bring back mix with the experience of the new era that we have learned from Smash 4 and current melee events.

Thank you again for being so patient.

It's happening

EDIT: Thank you for all the feedback! Once I get off work, I promise I will read everything and reply to any questions! Consider it a semi AMA if you will

(GRTr4sh) Fatality Disciplines ZeRo

One of the greatest sets in Project M history happened last weekend at The Bigger Balc. Thunderz vs Malachi!

Posted: 30 May 2017 01:45 PM PDT

I figured out one of Master Hands attack is actually an optical illusion.

Posted: 30 May 2017 01:20 PM PDT

I was messing around with the Master Hand glitch on 20XX TE, when I made an interesting discovery. Master Hand's attack where he slaps the stage is actually an optical illusion.

I made some low quality photos to showcase this. Here's the link: http://imgur.com/a/1FLPG

I am limited in how I could capture this, so sorry I'm sorry for the bad quality.

GameXplain claims Smash 4 Leak is confirmed fake.

In this tweet: https://twitter.com/GameXplain/status/869697422917640192. I'm not exactly sure what they've done to prove it, but they're generally a reputable source.

Now for the heart, I want to give thanks to some key people who truly helped make this event the banger it was. Big Al was super clutch in helping organizer our volunteers, set up and take down, and so much more. This man is the low key goat of the PM community. Next up, Kira and his entire amazing melee team deserve nothing but huge thanks from literally everyone. While our PM focused asses were trying to keep everything moving, these guys not only had melee run smooth as butter but made sure those guys had a great time. Another person who deserves endless thanks is Maddox, who truly kept this event rolling. While Jason, David, and I were breaking down from mad stress, he managed to help keep us on the sched, kept constant dope sets ready for stream, and so much more. Another huge thanks to all of our production people! From all the streamers, b-roll/video people, and our photographers, there is so much content for this event!

Finally, the hugest of thanks to Jason Waterfalls. This guy stepped in only two months ago to help me plan this event and it honestly probably would've been a huge flop without him. Not gonna lie, we probably spent triple digit numbers planning this event and in the end I'm proud of the final product. We have so, SO much more into store and in the works.

But to wrap this up, huge thanks to everyone who watched the stream and attended the event. I'm so honored we got to host such a historical event. I'm going to be spending the next couple days finishing vods, handling refunds, and organizing the house which is kinda a disaster right now. Please be patient if you are trying to get in touch with me or need something done, I haven't been this burnt out in a long time and I still have a couple things left before the Bigger Balc is truly done.

<3 Zesty
