[Discussion] I bought ESO:Gold Edition and no codes were in the case for the 4 DLC. Zenimax is telling me to go back to Wal-Mart where it was bought. They are telling me I can not exchange it due to policy requiring original packaging.

I have spoken with several people at Zenimax and Wal-Mart along with Microsoft. I started playing during the Beta since I have been a huge fan of Elder Scrolls since Morrowind and was unable to afford the game when it was released. When the game was on sale back in December at Wal-Mart I actually had the extra money and was looking for a new game after completing the new Final Fantasy game.

It was 3 months before I even opened the game only to find it was missing the DLC code. I first tried at Wal-Mart (90 Day Return Policy) where I was informed that even though it was 3 months they would still exchange it for me since they still carried the game. Unfortunately with the missing DLC code it meant, while arguably defective based on expected content, it did not include the original packaging. I have repeatedly informed Zenimax of this policy and they keep telling me that is my only option. I even provided pictures of the game case as proof I own the Gold Edition.

I honestly do not care where the code comes from, I just want what I paid for. Does anyone here know where I can actually find help with this issue since I keep getting passed around?

I don't really feel like it's very rewarding. Sure, dyes and titles are fancy and all, but I don't use either of them. I also find it annoying that it's not even account shared, so I have to get them all over again on other characters.

It would be really nice if they had rewards at every 1k points you get for example, or from completing a certain sub-section.

Rewards based on points accumulated could be:

  • Gold
  • Skill Points
  • EXP boosters
  • Cosmetics
  • Rewarded at every 1k points interval, with milestones such as 5k, 10k, 15k and so on giving something special.

Rewards based on Dungeon achievements could be:

  • Free choice of a set piece from that specific dungeon
  • Mounts

Crafting based achievements could give:

  • Material boxes
  • Motif boxes
  • Trait research boosters

These above are simplified examples and because I'm bad at brain storming I'll stop there, but you get my drift.

What's the community's thoughts on this? Surely I'm not alone?

I don't study upcoming maintenance and patches well in advance but it seems like the servers always go down during prime game time. I'm GMT+1 in Northern Europe, on Xbox. I have work and studies during the day and 6 pm is usually when I like to wind down and get some game time. I'm not saying the servers are down every day but some of my friends can't play very often and many of the occasions when we would have been able to play together have sadly very often coincided with server maintenance.

It is coincidence more than anything else but it is getting pretty frustrating and there are ways to work around it. No one can help there's a time difference, so if ZOS want the game to be successful in Europe maybe the servers should actually be hosted here and overseen by European employees so maintenance can be carried out in the mornings when fewer players are online. This current schedule seems inconsiderate to roughly half the playerbase. I love the game but I don't feel particularly appreciated as a fan and customer.

This is a rant/idea post about what has been driving me crazy, the imperial racial passives. I've got my own personal tick about reaching the greatest resource pools, but also the lore implications kind of unnerve me with an imperial being more hardy than a Nord or Orc. Just doesn't seem to reflect their heritage of being a well rounded, well educated people. Something more along the lines of this would be what I expect....

1.) Polymath - Increase health, magicka, stamina by 1%/2%/4% 2.) Adaptive - Increase health, magicka, stamina recovery by 2%/4%/6% 3.) Legion - Increase the effectiveness and duration of skills that buff a group by 4%/7%/10% ; effect can only proc once every 90 seconds

I'm no theory crafting expert so I have no idea if this would be game breaking but wouldn't it make more sense? What ideas do you guys have?

Do same school damage types stack correctly?

If I use Say Pulsar and Lightning Flood does the damage simply add or is there a cap for same school damage types? Am I better using varied AOEs from both lighting and fire? and finally If two lightning floods are cast by two sorcs on the same target the same question - do they simply add or is there a sliding scale/cap in play? Finally getting into the swing of rotations on 2 bars with only the odd finger fumble now and in decent gear, just looking to start tweaking the build :)

Low trait craft able armour for magblade

Quick question, I'm creating a magblade for a bit of fun, to help it's progression and to improve my crafting skills on my main, Im going to craft his armour for him. I just wanted know if there's any low trait (1-3) armour/weapon sets I can craft that are suitable for a magblade. I haven't researched alot into light armour or staffs as my main character is a Stam sorcerer.

Why are there 3 logos in the gamma calibration screen?

It says to adjust the brightness so that the middle logo is barely visible. I'm just intrigued about what the left and right logos represent..? The left logo is going to be completely invisible if you calibrate to the middle one. And I don't know what the right logo should be doing.

I'm finding I need to turn the slider almost all the way to the left so that the game doesn't look totally washed out (so the middle logo is just visible). I thought my monitor was calibrated, but I could be wrong.

It's amazed me how much better the game looks for me with the gamma adjusted. Gotta have that atmosphere and shadow.
