Started off with 4 other adults and 1 squeaker. The squeaker was doing fine but when we made it to Deathsinger he had to go eat so we decided to be nice and wait. He must of had to gather the eggs, milk the cow, etc because 15mins later still no word. He precedes to lag out of the game and when he finally returns he couldn't hear us when he asked if we kicked him. He proceeds to leave. Kinda felt bad for the kid because he was holding his own for the most part and he listened to instructions. We then get another squeaker who runs deathsinger with us. The entire time he works against our strategy and asks if we get regular loot if we kill her without doing challenge strategy. We tell him yes , so the very next run he runs right in the room and kills her. To top it off he runs out and sets down on Crota's plate denying he did it, even though he was clearly seen coming out of her chamber. He then immediately leaves so no challenge. I would have been furious if I wasn't just helping out. He could have just left if he wanted regular loot. We proceeded to get lucky and find another young adult to complete Crota challenge so they did get 1 of 2. Kids don't hurt your age group by doing nonsense and ruining others games. | I killed the Templar with the Aegis slam with most of my team dead Posted: 30 Apr 2017 09:54 AM PDT We were doing the strategy where I would block both teleport spots while everyone else damages the Templar. Most of my team died, the Templar was super low on health, and I was a bit slow to block a teleport so Templar teleported. I ran away to safety, my last living teammate killed one oracle, I killed the other, and I took Templar's shield down. I started to panic because I was in a bad spot and I knew if we didn't kill him there my other teammate would die and we would probably have to wipe. So my instinct was to run straight at the Templar with the Aegis and jump up and slam him. I was fortunate enough that the Templar was so low on health that it actually killed him! | Don't panic, we've been 'without Light' before. Posted: 30 Apr 2017 06:12 AM PDT A lot of people seem to think that the tagline "Welcome to a world without Light" means we're going to be completely powerless in Destiny 2. That is not entirely true, and here's why: In the Taken King story mission Lost to Light, we learn the following from Toland's Journal:
What Toland is saying, is that our connection to the Traveler is broken when we enter the Dreadnaught. This is probably because Oryx's Dreadnaught also serves as a container for his Throne World. But what does this have to do with the Cabal and Destiny 2? Well, the Ghost Fragment: Cabal 4 says the following:
Essentially, the Cabal were aware that the Hive are able to sever our connection to the Light, and they planned to learn those secrets. Now take a look at the Destiny 2 reveal trailer, specifically the opening shot of the Traveler. You may not have noticed before, but look closely. There's a force-field or shield around the Traveler. So to sum it all up: We've ALREADY been without our Light while on Oryx's Dreadnaught and we were fine. The Cabal learned from the Hive how to sever our connection to the Traveler, so for the most part we will be able to function perfectly fine without our connection to the Traveler's Light in Destiny 2. EDIT: I should amend this and say that we're fine without the Traveler's Light for a while, and not indefinitely. The Hand of Crota card shows us that a Ghost cannot live indefinitely without a connection to the Traveler. It reads:

| Vault of Glass 390 Speedrun WR (19:29) Posted: 30 Apr 2017 12:58 PM PDT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR_Ymn7Hmgk Strategy: We had two people build the spire while the remaining four players entered the vault and proceeded to the conflux area so that we could start the encounter as fast as possible. Confluxes can disappear at various times and as of this time we still don't know how to consistently get quick despawns of the confluxes but in this run we got reasonably lucky with good despawns for all three phases of the conflux encounter. We also originally thought that how long legions would continue to spawn for was RNG but one of our clan mates figured out what causes quick legion spawns which made runs a lot more consistent. We pulled of fast spawns for all three waves of legions which is where most of our time save came from in this run. Next was oracles and yet again (as far as we know) there is more RNG here. The RNG lies in how quick it takes for a new oracle wave to begin. Three out of four times we got lucky here which is also where a decent amount of time save came from. If we would have gotten lucky all four times this run would have been ~15 seconds faster. We spawn trapped the oracles to make each wave as fast as possible. Our templar kill was really good in this run despite me reloading too early on my Ghorn, losing valuable time. With the help of melting point and some celestial nighthawks we managed to kill the templar quickly and move on. For the gorgon's maze we used an invis grenade which allowed us to sneak past the gorgons and to the exit. Patience was key here, we didn't want to rush and get caught and waste a perfectly good run. At gatekeepers we got rather lucky on where the gatekeeper was as he was directly in our line of sight allowing us to kill him pretty quickly. We then had people begin to build the portals on each side and then we just did the encounter as normal, nothing really special here. Finally, Atheon. We damaged him with sleeper with a tether applied pre-teleport to get maximum damage on him. Unfortunately I end up killing myself with a sleeper ricochet which ended up in the overall time being ~5-10 seconds slower (sorry guys). Once times vengeance popped up we had someone apply a melting point and we then put everything we had into him to kill him as fast as possible. Put all this together and we managed to get a new world record for the 390 light version of Vault of Glass. If you have any questions, feel free to ask below. Since it's an app and not just a dump of images in your sdcard, these stickers won't leak into your phone's photo gallery, etc. To use this app, install it and then in your chat app, use the file picker/gallery and choose "Destiny" in the left hand menu to get the stickers. | My Webcomic Exotic Watermelon Exo is Ready for Destiny2 Posted: 30 Apr 2017 12:36 PM PDT I made a single post on Reddit back in year 1 of Destiny about my little webcomic Exotic Watermelon Exo, and I was so surprised by how people here and online were so generous and welcoming. I had almost zero awareness of the whole community that had cropped up around the game, so at the suggestion of a reader, I made a post (my first post ever on Reddit). In my comic has seen a silly inexperienced Exo muddle through the cosmodrome, kill a dreg by accident, almost see under the speakers mask, get murdered by Xur, get murdered by Laksmi, get murdered by lasagna, get a mortal enemy, throw up a lot, and accidentally kill Shiro! But the comic has also seen other characters like Petra and Variks going on a date, and Oryx sitting down with his therapist. It's all in good fun! But for me I've also been on an adventure where I've been the community focus at Bungie, Got to meet Cozmo and Deej, met employees at Bungie that to my surprise really enjoyed the comic (and weren't mad that I was making fun of their creation), went on several podcasts like Guardian Radio and Guardian One, made a clan that now boasts 2000 members, and got to meet (and sometimes Raid with) so many of the awesome people in this community. I hope to continue writing funny stories about destiny in this new iteration that comes out in September, I'm so mega-hyped, and love this game, and I hope that you will join me in the fun! | 10 Sunrise Bounties Completed This Week To Get The Icebreaker. Posted: 29 Apr 2017 03:29 PM PDT I have completed 10 Sunrise Bounties this week, not to mention the other 3 or 4 months that I did the bounty on all my characters. I did the bounty by deleting my characters and grinding them back to 40 in order to do it as many times as possible this week. This seems crazy, but I am going on a U.S. military deployment next Wednesday so I really wanted the Icebreaker for my last Trials. I will not return from deployment until after Destiny 2 is out. So if you don't have an Icebreaker, I wish you as much luck as possible. The drop rate is too low in my opinion. You shouldn't have to do 6 months worth of bounties, and still not get it. Cheers.
