But please do not forsake it during the rest of GW2's life. I love thus game because of the underwater stuff, because you guys dared to do it when no one else really thinks twice about it. | Consider buying a Ryzen for GW? I just got mine and Id like to share my experience. Posted: 27 Apr 2017 02:24 PM PDT 15 months ago I made a big mistake and bought an AMD FX-8350. While it was totally fine for some other games like League or CSGO and still enough for games like GTA V or Dark Souls 3, the Guild Wars 2 performance was underwhelming. Some numbers: Old Setup: AMD FX-8350 Radeon HD 7950 3GB 16 GB HyperX Fury DDR3 1600 MHz My FPS: Guild Hall ~17 FPS World Bosses ~3-7 FPS average (instances like fractals/open world without too many people) ~25 FPS Then I thought well my graphics card is about 5 years old maybe its not the FX-8350. I bought a GTX1060 6GB. The performance increased slightly but not very much (bottleneck?). So I went all in with a new mainboard, cpu and ram. New Setup: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X Zotac GTX1060 6 GB 16 GB HyperX Fury DDR4 2666 MHz My FPS: Guild Hall ~60-100 FPS World Bosses ~30 FPS average (instances like fractals/open world without too many people) ~60 FPS tl;dr if you consider buying a Ryzen but AMD + GW2 still scares you let me tell you that I am very happy with the performance of my Ryzen 5 1500X. Maybe add furniture to the crafting professions! Tailors making curtains. Armorsmiths making armor stands. Cooking for kitchen stuff. Add cultural furniture through karma vendors around the world. Or meet me halfway. How about a small guild home? Something that could be obtained and decorated by a handful of people in a tiny guild. Just wishful thinking, but how great would it be? | Posted: 27 Apr 2017 07:19 PM PDT hey guys. I want to play GW2 with my girlfriend but she does not have a computer so i pulled out my old PC that i gamed with maybe 6 + years ago. Even booting up took 2 to 3 minutes. Just surfing web seemed okay but after launching gw2 64bit... the frames are basically 30 frames if you do not move with a quick freeze every 8 seconds, and if you move, it could range from 10 fps, to 20 fps or to straight up powerpoint level....(ran on the absolutely lowest setting, even audio quality is set to fastest) And loading a map took 6 minutes and 30 seconds (ironically its the same old sata3 harddrive that i even use on my current PC which loads in less than a dozen seconds, but my OS is on an SSD so that might be why) I know for 100% sure that i used to play GW2 on this computer during beta and launch. It has a Radeon graphics card in the 5000s or 6000s i cant even remember the CPU is a dual core with 2.6ghz i believe (intel) and RAM is only 4gbs and a lot of them are used up by the anti virus Do keep in mind that i did not reinstall my operating system, and doing so will definitely help..but by how much? before i try reinstalling a new system maybe windows 10 or just win7 (idek if it could handle win10) i want to hear if you guys think 32bit game could help? (i have a 64bit windows) and if neither works, im going to just upgrade a few parts of the PC to playable standards. Probably ram and cpu and motherboard (and maybe graphics card...) And do keep in mind that i am absolutely sure i used to play GW2 on this PC at a good frames on i think it was even high settings (maybe not, but it wasnt ugly like the low settings thats for sure) [link] [comments]  | ||

The title says it all, i have a very low gamma on Windowed Fullscreen, the game looks dark, it is playable but very hard. I have tried to change the gamma though i cannot change it from in game, i had to change it from Nvidia Control Panel, which changes the Gamma for the whole desktop and everything and i dont want that. Is there anyway to actually change the gamma only in game? GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 (if that helps). I've got the recipes for Viper exotic armor, and the welfare ascended weapon from current events that I can transform into Viper GS. | Posted: 27 Apr 2017 12:18 AM PDT With the realise of legendary armor around the corner and the assumption that we can make 1 of each weight set per account ( 150LI ) per set, the maximum LIs we can spend at this point is 450. I know this is a minor problem at this point since not everyone in the game has 450 LIs, or even enough for 1 set, but what are we gonna do with the rest of them? I would love to see some kind of vendor to exchange them for a) raid shards ( 1to 10 ratio? ) b) treat them like laurels c) exchange for provisioner tokens but keep the 12 per day cap. Got the new expansion and rolled a revenant Human. Never played Human. I see I am close to Divinity Reach but don't have access to Mystic Forge which I have some crystals for? Are we fun in PVP/PVE? What weapons should I be using? Right now I have a Mace and my other weapon is some heal stuff? I'm tempted to run the 80 boost, but I don't want to be overwhelmed, but I also never saw end game. PvE IIRC was just running from heart to heart doing menial tasks. I wanna do dungeons and stuff ASAP. But again I don't even know my rotations, or what weapons to use, etc. Any tips for a returning player, now playing a Revenant Human - where my surroundings are super unfamiliar? So far it's fun!
