A Fun Way to Relieve Boredom or Burnout

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 04:56 PM PDT

When I'm building legendary gems for a Caldesann's Despair, I like to hop into a noobier difficulty (Expert-T6) public game and carry people through GR65+ and watch them lose their shit over how many levels they gain.

This isn't efficient at all compared to the normal pushing. I'll do one here or there if I've only got a half hour or so and don't want to bother with all the people who hop repeatedly until they get that 85+ rift in public games.

Blazing Guardians need to be looked at. No one is talking about them.

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 12:15 PM PDT

I've been thinking about making a post of Blazing Guardians for a long time, but it never really bothered me as much until last night.

A few friends and I were doing 114 1%s until we hit this specific map. We, as many of you would be, were hyped to open up a A5 Battlefields of Eternity map in GR 'cause it almost usually means we'll pass the rift or get a good enough lead to carry over.

We enter the rift and immediately know it's a fail despite the good map. This map is ALWAYS dense.., but we had the wrong type of density..

Blazing fuckin' Guardians.

I immediately started taking a few SS's 'cause now I knew I was going to make a post whether people felt the same way or not.

http://imgur.com/a/XtkbU

That's an album with 3 SS. As you can see progressively through the pictures, it was impossible to survive and with all that density, we made absolutely no progress. Mind you, with any other mob-type, we could have been well ahead.

I know some of you will say, "Why didn't you pull less?," but that's just not how Blazing Guardians work. They shoot their stacking fire from a distance and with the current meta of setting up a pack and standing still, you're essentially a sitting duck.

Here's what I propose:

1. Tone down Blazing Guardian damage because it is absolutely ridiculous if the zDPS start struggling with their health and survivability.

OR

2. We will deal with the Blazing Guardian damage, FINE, but at least make it WORTHWHILE for us to kill them. Increase the amount of progression Blazing Guardians give.

That's all. I hope some of you share my pain out there.

How is botting? 22+ hours per day/played.Some people havent even logged off since S10 release

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 03:48 AM PDT

Lost faith in keeping playing. Think Im up for about 150 hours orso since the release not quite going as hardcore as the older seasons to keep longevity. But now pushing leaderboards its just not gonna happen. A few random picks from top10 on different classes shows over 22 hours per day, and how on earth is that even possible, even accountsharing etc. thats just an obscene amount of time. Doesnt even matter that me and a few friends tried bounty games and just afk ingame and nobody talks or kick you. Game over. rant

Need help learning the game inside and out

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 07:08 PM PDT

So I game pretty hard, and I've been wanting to find help with this for a while. I know the basics, have beaten the story, and have been power leveled to paragon 700ish. I'd like to point out that I wasn't shooting for a power level, but the players I ended up with when quick matching were feeling helpful. I need help understanding the game. For example, Bungie's Destiny is a game that I have mastered. I know how to play, what gear is best, what ability combos work well together, etc. I want to reach the same point of progression in Diablo 3. There's probably a better name for it than just "Understanding the game", but I'm at a loss. My girl loves Diablo and was the person got me to start playing. Unfortunately, we're going through some issues so now isn't a good time to ask her about this.

I play on Xbox One, and would appreciate any advice or knowledge that's given. So far my only character is a Demon Hunter.

Best two man with a Hammerdin?

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 01:50 PM PDT

A friend of mine has recently made something of a return to Diablo, and he's really enjoying the Hammerdin build, and I'd like to make the best two-man GRift run setup we can with that in mind. I play more frequently than he does, and can set up and gear for pretty much any class/build, I'm just not sure what the best option would be.

Should I set up with a support build to supplement him carrying most/all of the damage, or go with some dps build?

Thanks for any input!

Lightning Wizard gear help

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 06:54 PM PDT

Hey guys. I feel like I've hit a bit of a brick wall around GR65 or so. My damage is starting to feel incredibly lackluster compared to most people I run into in public games. In terms of group pushing, should I be changing anything in my build? Also looking for recommendations on what gear pieces to prioritize upgrading first. Thanks, armory link included.

Best Monk Build for "Come to Heal" Monk Achievement

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 01:09 PM PDT

Hi there,

I'm curious which Monk build would be best for getting the 2 billion worth of healing done as quickly as possible?

I don't generally play Monk, but I'm sure there are smart synergies that exist with items / skills / gems that would help make this a bit faster.

Thanks for much for any advice.

In-Game purchases

With some of the recent changes to Heroes of the Storm and how overwatch has already worked, what are people's thoughts on the same thing coming to diablo?

Personally, I have wanted to be able to buy stash spaces for years now and have been very dissapointed they haven't let us yet. Personally, I really like having the room to store sets in their own tabs with all their supporting stuff that can be re-rolled over time. There just isnt enough space as is. Why in the world would they not bank on people like me wanting to buy extra space?

Pets and wings would be easy money. Just don't understand why they are crawling at these kind of features for the diablo crowd.

Most Powerful LON builds?

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 11:02 AM PDT

So I ran out of things to do this season (zbarb, zmonk, lwiz, DH, WD all geared) and I stumbled upon a LON LTK build that was rnak 3 on the monk leaderboards. I built this up to full ancient and really liked the process of pursuing a LON build. What are the most powerful LON builds for any class? I want a new project. Does crusader have a good LON build?

EDIT: i originally was interested in power but im mostly interested in fun to play builds. please tell me about your experience with a lon build you mention/ if you regret the effort or not

Returning for Necro and a little lost

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 08:57 PM PDT

I originally played D3 and the expansion casually. I beat the game and havent been back. Been thinking about giving it another whirl and got a Necro beta invite, cool.

When I first created my necro tonight I saw a button to boost her to 70. That didnt sound like fun so I skipped it.

When I landed in game, I saw that you cannot do the campaign, only the adventure stuff is open. And it seems like you could really use that 70 boost to make any sense of the stuff available for you at that point.

So I tried making a second character, and that transmogrify boost is never offered. How do I get that back?

If I can't get it back, where should I start at level 1 in adventure mode? All the way back on the first map?

Other suggestions for getting my footing again are appreciated.

Which weapons to use on ww barb, bulkathos or little rogue set?

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 06:27 AM PDT

Most of the builds i looked up sing constant praises of the bulkathos weapons but never seem to mention little rogue and the slanderer set, but most of the top barbs i looked at use the little rogue set. I can see why, as they lose the fury regen and 30% ms for 30% dmg and armor, i was just wondering whether they're a large amount better than the bul kathos set or whether im fine keeping these for now.

What are your favourite off-meta builds that can solo GR70?

Posted: 27 Apr 2017 10:28 AM PDT

Title. I'm looking for something new and exciting to play. Kinda bored of Hammerdin and WW Barb.

Is there anything wild that's viable at GR70?

[PTR] Blood set GR71 clear

Posted: 26 Apr 2017 10:34 PM PDT

https://youtu.be/rBFD5QYeVyo

Currently rank 2 on PTR, can probably go higher but I thought I'd just share this fun build now.

Basically you use rathma's shield in conjunction with blood is power and a rotation of the 3 invulnerability skills to spam blood nova while at extremely high cascade stacks (~50). There is a small amount of time where you're not invulnerable, this is the time where you use to re-fill cascade stacks and reduce cooldowns. You heal by picking up the globes you spawned with the "Life from Death" passive + devour/land of dead combo.

The trick with the healer at the start i expect won't make it to live but it's only a small time/safety boost at the start, otherwise you have to find density and spam your blood nova while healing to full every now and then with blood rush to heal.
