| As someone with Social Anxiety, a huge shout out to The 100 website. Posted: 20 Apr 2017 03:59 AM PDT So, I've been playing Destiny since the PS4 Alpha. I play with my wife, and occasionally my best friend and another acquaintance. With a maxed fireteam of 4 players, we've been unable to take part in a very large part of Destiny. The Raids. For the longest time, I kept thinking about using r/fireteams and r/destinyLFG, but I suffer from social anxiety. Stranger still, I didn't have this up until my 30s. Growing up, I was not like this at all. It manifests as feeling impending doom-like pressure on me as I think about trying to meet new people and interact with them. It's not like I'm weird in person... it's more like I feel like I'm responsible for everyone in my immediate vicinity's health and happiness, and if anyone is bored/upset/jaded, it's my fault. It's just crippling at times. Anyway, this past January, my wife and I switched to Xbox One, and re-purchased Destiny. I decided after AoT dropped I would get over this issue and finally LFG for a Raiding party. Well, AoT came and went, and I failed miserably. I put up posts on LFG, only to (most of the time) immediately delete them. I just couldn't get over it. Then, someone here mentioned The 100. (http://the100.io). If you don't know, the 100 is a site you can easily register for in which you can join groups of other players that match your play style. You can set the age group, "time of life" (school, college, parents, etc), time of day you normally play, if profanity is okay with you, etc. You also schedule the event. It's not a random, last second grab for users. You search for a scheduled raid and join up. Each one will have it's own chat room too, so you can get to know each other a bit before jumping in. The 100 has changed my Destiny experience, and really helped me get over the anxiety I suffer from in relation to random group interaction. I've now joined about half a dozen Raiding parties, and I've even scheduled 3 of my own Raids. The people have been incredibly nice, accommodating and patient. I even actually have a friends list again. So... I guess TL/DR: If you are someone who has never Raided because you don't have a group, and the thought of using LFG sites turns you off, try the 100. NOTE: I'm not putting down r/destinyLFG or r/fireteams. I'm sure they are fantastic. The 100 just allowed me to feel better about the groups I was sifting through. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 20 Apr 2017 07:49 AM PDT Title. As per /u/A_Qua_Rad_Nag's discovery yesterday here: Daily Mission May Still Exist?, it's been found out that the Daily Heroic missions appear to still be active in game, but have to be chosen from the director. Yesterday's mission was Scourge of Winter, and today's is Paradox, and on completing the 240 Light Hard version, the High Five emote dropped for myself and my linked friend, and we can continue the quest chain now, when beforehand it wasn't progressing from completing the Weekly Story Playlist missions. Don't believe me? Load up the director, select the 240 Light version of Paradox, and you'll see the reward for completion is 15 Legendary Marks. Minor edit: I ran my linked friend through the alternate ending with the Taken Minotaur, but it seems like the marks will drop regardless of mission end. | Posted: 20 Apr 2017 08:13 AM PDT I'm not necessarily against the way that loot boxes work in Destiny at the moment (although the drop rates could be higher), but the fact that all of this cool gear I get is unable to be min/maxed effectively means that regardless of how cool it looks it'll be sat doing nothing from now until the end of time. My "proudest achievement" in Destiny is finally get a full tier 12 full Trials ornament set. A full armour set that looks cool and can be used all over the Destiny world. Now obviously if you started putting max rolled stuff into packages there would be a "pay to win" outcry, but making it so items take the entire roll of the stuff they were infused to would help solve that problem. You'd still have to grind for perfectly rolled gear, but you'd get the benefit of the cool as hell looking gear too. [link] [comments]  |

So many Sherpa posts are listed with requirements like "Know what to do", "Be experienced", etc. That isn't the point of Sherpa at all. | Posted: 20 Apr 2017 12:05 PM PDT I am aware that some of this information has been posted before but it is still very relevant. I also included some extra information. In Destiny we have two different Orb sizes. We call them small and large Orbs. You need about 12 small Orbs to completely fill your super (from 0 to 100%). And if you pick up about 6 large Orbs your super will be charged. Also large Orbs makes 100% more super energy than the small ones. So clearly large Orbs are much better than small Orbs, but what determines which Orbs you will make? Small Orbs are produced if you fill the last percents of your super with Orbs. In fact it is very easy to make large Orbs. The rule is to not fill the last segments of your super bar with Orbs. So in theory you can fill 99% of your super with Orbs while the last percent is filled by either waiting or killing enemies. If you do this you will make large Orbs for your teammates which is awesome. We also have some artifacts, weapons and perks that produce different Orb sizes:

If there are anything that produce Orbs of Light that I forgot please let me know and I will test it. tl;dr: There are two different Orb sizes in Destiny, small and large Orbs. 6 large Orbs will fill your super while 12 small Orbs will do the same. If you have filled the last part of your super bar with Orbs you will make small Orbs. If you have filled the last part your super bar by killing enemies and waiting you will make large Orbs. EDIT: words EDIT 2: Added several things that needs to be tested. EDIT 3: Realized I messed up, Gift of Light will always make large Orbs. | Posted: 20 Apr 2017 11:44 AM PDT It just seems to me like many of the requests are pointless. 'Special ammo should be scarce in PvP' Who says special ammo will even exist? Who says special weapons are and or behave as they do now? 'We need X light level on gear so we won't drop in level when we switch to Y' Who says there will be a light level? Who says it will be tied to gear? Who says it matters? "If we infuse something can the Strength, Disciplone and Intellect carry over to the new gear'? Who says those three stats will still exist? Who says infusion will exist? Who says you can't tinker the armor yourself? It just seems like the vast majority of ideas thrown in this page are entirely constraint by the notions of the Destiny we have now. They wiped all our gear. They will build it from the ground up. It is much more likely that most if not all systems we know and use now will not be in Destiny 2. That seems to be kind of the point. Note: You don't have to use the currency buttons, they just help to pre-fill the fields with release day prices, among a few other things. You can change these values once they've been pre-filled. Why are there only two currencies?Quite honestly, I found it quite difficult to come up with the release day prices (it's surprisingly tough to just Google for). Thankfully a couple of you here helped me out with the GBP and USD prices just as a way to get started. On that note... ContributingIf you have the know-how, I have this all up on Github (see below). \o/ Alternatively, drop a comment and I'll try to keep up if I can and get the details in. Other than the release-day prices, I'd also love your help with some currency relevant comparisons so that you can see stuff like (to use one of the GBP examples):

| Posted: 20 Apr 2017 10:35 AM PDT Hey guys! Got a pretty interesting glitch for you all. Have you ever noticed those weird Vex structures out in the distance in the Mars landscape? Even if you haven't noticed, you will now. Here's a way to glitch past the barrier and get up close and personal with these things...whatever they are. All you need to do is go to the Trenchworks in Patrol. (The area where you kill the 3 Lieutenants in the Valus Ta'Aurc Strike). Once there, a Cabal dropship will spawn. Jump up top and spawn your Sparrow. Ride it off into the sunset and you'll be out of the map. Shout-out to /u/Phoenix_Ride (Underplayed Creations) for finding this glitch. Enjoy! [link] [comments]  |

| Possible plot points for D2 as seen in the Grimoire Posted: 20 Apr 2017 10:38 AM PDT I have been analyzing the possible plot points for Destiny 2 according to the events of the game and the grimoire cards. I will divide it by race and post the possible plot points for discussion. The tl;dr version is at the end.
THE FALLEN From the Ghost Fragment: Fallen 6 grimoire entry, the "normal" was fireteams fighting the remnant of the Devil Splicers and members of the House of Kings every once in a while. The issue is that Fallen have disappeared. There is also reports that House of Exiles, Winter and Wolves are also gone. Patrols have found huge mounds of burnt cloth and armor in several Fallen holdouts. From the Ghost Fragment: The Reef 4 grimoire entry, it seems to indicate that the Prince, Mara Sov's brother, let himself be captured by a Fallen house. He has been probably looking for his sister, but has given up and decided to build something for himself. The phrase "He would need soldiers who answered to him and no one else. Bodies to shape with will and magic and tech to his needs. These would serve" could be a bargain in providing power to his captors in return for leadership. He was taken underground and away from the Cosmodrome and meets a "would-be king in yellow", which is pretty descriptive of the House of Kings. It seems that the current Kell of Kings has "bent his knee" to a "kell that rises", indicating that the Prince is probably the new Kell of Kings. I believe that these two events are connected and the future of the Fallen lies with the House of Kings and the Prince.
THE HIVE With the death of Malok, there is no outstanding leadership within the Hive or Taken as of now. The future of the Hive now rests in these main points: • Nokris: During the last section of the Regicide mission, you can scan three different statues. One for Crota, an innermost one for Oryx and the closest to Crota for someone named Nokris. There is no entry about Nokris in the World's Grave files or in the Book of Sorrows, so any theories surrounding Nokris are speculation. • Savathûn and Xivu Arath: In entry XLVI: The Gift Mast of the Books of Sorrow (which states that it is the fifth book) Savathûn and Xivu Arath leave, the former to evolve different and the latter because Oryx constraints choices. They still follow the Sword-Logic, and it's tempting to invade us and see if they are mightier than us as we defeated Oryx, a Hive God. • Missing Books of Sorrow: If we are to believe that the Boos of Sorrow we have access to are five books (and the section in the grimoire has Books in the plural state), and we examine the grimoire entry for Thorn, which cites the 13th Understanding of the 7th Book of Sorrow, we can say that we don't have the complete version of the Book of Sorrow. What is the content of the missing Books? What did Oryx write about in them? WHERE ARE THEM? • Eris has left the City to look for more hive: In the newest grimoire card Ghost Fragment: Eris Morn, she mentions that to truly face the Hive, she must leave the safety of the City as her companions have already been avenged. Eris will probably go looking for the next Hive God we can kill.
THE VEX The Vex are deeply linked to the quest for the No Time To Explain exotic pulse rifle, the exotic version of the Stranger's Rifle pulse rifle received at the end of the main campaign. This quest began with the alternate ending to the Paradox mission of finding Praedyth's Vision and destroying the Blighted Descendant. The different steps ended with the mission Blood of the Garden, where the Descendant Vex are initially non-aggressive. After killing enough Vex, the Groundskeeper appears. After destroying the Groundskeeper and returning to the Tower, we are given the No Time To Explain pulse rifle "transmatted from some time and some place, especially for us". The flavor text of the weapon says "Soon.". The grimoire entry for the gun, there are different accounts depending on who performs the timeline analysis: the weapon is an upgrades Stranger's Rifle sent back in time, or Praedyth built it based on the Stranger's Rifle and sent it through time, or unknown individuals built it and sent it through time and it arrived by accident, or that the original weapon (exotic state) will degrade to the state of the Stranger's Rifle that we acquire, and that the weapon will be eventually lost again in time. Why does the gun have the word "Soon" etched inside of the weapons casing? Even when we have found Praedyth's corpse in the Vault of Glass, the grimoire entry Mystery: Praedyth's Door seems to indicate that he is still alive somewhere in time, and he may eventually come back to us. Aside from the No Time To Explain weapon and the reason we received it, the newest grimoire entry Ghost Fragment: Eris Morn provides some hints that we can expect something from the Vex in the future: • Eris is visiting someone in the Towers medbay, and a Ghost with its eye glowing red is described (recall the color of the eye from a Goblin or a Hobgoblin) • The person Eris is visiting is an Warlock Awoken called Ashen Mir, and is a kindred spirit to Eris • Eris sees that the guardian has lost an arm and in its place, there is a Vex construct-arm • Eris understands that the Ghost has also transformed with Vex technology • Eris leaves, stating that her quest in the City is done and that she must find "a new path through the night", mentioning also that to truly face the Hive, she has to leave the safety of the City • Eris also prophesizes that "a storm is coming and she will not be at his side when it finds it ways to our shores." Are the Vex going to infect a part of the guardians and attempt to embed themselves into the Traveler like they have attempted to do with time using the Vault of Glass? We can only wait and see what will happen… Something to consider: In the Paradox mission, Praedyth tells us that we have arrived to "the end of the Vex, their immutable future", that the Vex "are enslaved to a will they don't understand, long dead eons ago", which probably refers that the Vex would have all been taken and that Oryx would eventually had died. In the grimoire entry Mystery: Praedyth's Door, it says that "The Vex had decided their end. The Guardians had interceded. The Vex were fallible", hinting that as "guardians make their own fate", we saved the Vex from being completely taken by Oryx. However, in Praedyth's words: "The Vex won't spare the City. They won't even thank you. But that's the thing about Light: You never know where it will shine."
THE CABAL In the mission Outbound Signal, the Vanguard asked the guardians to investigate an outbound signal to a target outside of the solar system. From the grimoire entry of the mission, we know that Dead Orbit confirmed that the message was received by the intended recipients. From the Shield Brothers strike, we learned that the Skyburners received orders from the Cabal Empire to ram the Dantalion Exodus VI into the Dreadnaught, and that the Empire would eventually receive notice that the Shield Brothers are dead and that there are no more ranking officers in our solar system. We know that someone did pick up the phone on the other end, and is on his way.
OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER • The Exo Stranger: She probably will return in Destiny 2. Will her purpose be revealed then? • Efrideet's accounts of another Guardian community: Efrideet's grimoire card states that she knows about a nonmilitary Guardian community but she refuses to disclose the location presently. Will we learn about this location in Destiny 2? • Black Mesa: Mentioned in Ghost Fragment: Cayde-6, it's mentioned as a location in Io, one of Jupiter's moons, where guardians did pilgrimages. Could this be a potential base? • Possible guardian experimentation: Someone called Teben Grey has investigated the story of Dredgen Yor extensively and states that he was not the monster the legends claim him to be. The problem seems to be the interest on "replicating Yor's damnation while avoiding the same heavy toll", that "we will surely be judged for what it is we are about to achieve", and what seems to be the worst of all: "and should we fail, may the Light avenge all those we make to suffer." tl;dr: We knew the Cabal would come, the Vex have infected a guardian, the Fallen are nowhere to be seen and Eris has left to look for the next Hive God to have us kill.
