Thank You BeyondTheSummit!

Posted: 23 Apr 2017 05:36 PM PDT

On behalf of myself and probably everyone else who experienced this event. I don't think I've ever enjoyed watching a CSGO tournament as much as I did this one, great fun, great games & great insight.

Thank you to the staff/members who put this incredible show together.

EDIT: Don't forget to buy some BTS merch if you can afford it to help them out!

Steel - looking for feedback on casting

Posted: 23 Apr 2017 04:15 PM PDT

I'm done casting at cs_summit and wanted to get helpful feedback for the future. I'd prefer to be a coach for a pro team (not allowed to be though) and being on the analyst desk would be my second choice as I do like to talk in depth about subjects rather than quickly get some point across. Having said that, I'm open to doing more casting gigs and already have things lined up so it is necessary to get helpful feedback.

To address criticisms I've already received:

"steel is too bias towards NA". I don't even know how to address this as it couldn't be more wrong. I'm known for talking down on NA teams and how bad they've been and lost they look in matches. Whenever I read this criticism, I wonder if people miss the context of my original point.

"steel is too confrontational". When you have four people on a couch and up to three of them are ex-pros, you are bound to have different opinions. If the cast is just myself and a play by play, I can say whatever I want without anyone to agree or disagree. From the people I've talked to, they find differing opinions refreshing in a sense since you don't just have mr. Agreeable sitting next to you saying "yeah exactly" all the time.

"steel cuts off other casters when the caster is talking and should try to wait for a better time to give his input or select the most important talking point and make it as easy and quick to talk about as possible". Thanks, this is something I can actually use and think about the next time I'm casting. I'll try to apply this for the future to improve.

I'm off to have lots of food and drink now so I'll check back on responses later today / tomorrow on my way home. Thanks for watching the summit and be like Timmy.

We are Chillhop Music and we provided the music for the cs_summit. We would just like to thank everyone for the overwhelmingly positive feedback!

Posted: 23 Apr 2017 05:42 PM PDT

I'm not sure if it's too off-topic, but I just wanted to thank everyone for the comments and feedback over the last couple of days. It's super motivating for us to see so many positive comments from an audience we relate with. As a long time DotA fan I always felt like our music would fit events like these perfectly so I'm super happy a lot of people feel the same way, and the artists on the label are all very stoked to see their music being such a great fit for an event like this as well.

In case anyone's wondering, you can use this link to find our music on any platform (YouTube / Spotify / Vinyl etc etc). Thanks again and hopefully we can support more of these events as I honestly feel like these Summits are my favorite kind of tournament being so casual / personal, and we're honored to be a part of it.

If anyone has any questions regarding the music, shoot away. :)

In its newest update, DOTA2 add an option for Solo-queuers to only be matched against other solo-queuers. Can we have that?

Posted: 23 Apr 2017 04:04 AM PDT

From their blog:

SOLO QUEUE

With the return of the Solo Queue, solo players who enter Ranked Matchmaking can now choose to be matched only with other solo players. Any player who selects this option will be placed into matches where all ten players are queuing solo.

This would be a great addition to CS:GO. Don't you think?

Petition for swag to be on the couch today

Posted: 23 Apr 2017 04:04 AM PDT

I've tried to watch cs_summit as much as I possibly physically can but since I live in the EU I can't watch all of it and watching VODs just isn't the same, so to my knowledge from what I've seen I don't think swag has been on the couch yet and would really like to see him there for the first game of day 4 just to have a chat and see his insight and how much he enjoyed playing and just to see him cause #freeswag EDIT: Oh and he's pretty funny https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6-Psafv_Kg&feature=youtu.be&t=50s

Pistol Bullet Trajectory being changed by strafe direction, still not fixed

Posted: 23 Apr 2017 05:49 AM PDT

About 2-3 months ago a bug was uncovered. The bug essentially (For you that are new around here) was basically that: When using pistols, the direction of which you strafe when shooting causes the bullet to lean towards that direction after firing, causing inaccuracy where there shouldn't be. This was and STILL IS a reason for pistol rounds being quite random. This is a moderately big bug and it's still yet to be patched! We can not forget about this bug!!!!

Video giving complete explanation : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPT0-CKODNc

(Edit: please remember the whole point of this post is to highlight a seemingly forgotten issue that is most likely fixable!)

Omg I've made it front page! I've achieved the goal of this post (Besides the 3klicks vid! D:). Anyway hi all this is my most upvoted post :)

Plugging my stream https://www.twitch.tv/apollo5i
Me and a friend will be testing this bug live either later today or tomorrow. So if you're interested follow the stream so you don't miss it!

If posting my twitch is against rules Ill remove it, just any mods pm me

WTF WE DID IT WE GOT 1K! let's get this on the front page for a day solid, some big youtuber is bound to make a video on it! or Valve might respond!

It's clear we want change!
