This thread is a compilation of all the upcoming Overwatch tournaments and ESports over the next week. All links can be found on the sidebar under UPCOMING EVENTS.

Professional Play

Overwatch PIT Championship

Two regions (EU and NA) bring 10 pro teams and 2 qualifiers to compete in a $15,000 regional tournament. Invited teams are as follows:

OGN Apex Season 2 (Group Stage #2)

Korean-based tournament where sixteen invited and qualifying teams from KR, EU, and NA battle for a combined prize pool of ₩200,000,000 KRW ($178,000 USD). We're down to four teams:

ROYAL Season 1

This "Adria" region League (Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia&Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania) has a $500 prizepool in hardware. Three matches are run every Wednesday (March 29th 16:00 CEST) and Sunday (April 2nd 21:00 CEST), leading up to the 4-team finals in April.

Matches are streamed in Croatian at owadria.

Community Tournaments

HND International I Qualifiers

HND Gaming is back with another EU Overwatch tournament. Test your teams mettle against some of EU's strongest players. The top 2 teams for this event will be invited to the HND: Overwatch Invitational I later in April. Qualifiers begin April 1st 6 PM CEST. Playoffs begin April 2nd.

Matches will be streamed at HNDlive.

WarpMeta Open III

Presented by WarpMeta, the Open III is the final tournament of the first season. Teams will compete for a $200+ prize pool, single elimination event. Begins April 1st 11:00am PDT.

Matches will be streamed at WarpMetagg.

Chicago Overwatch League

Hosted at the Ignite Gaming Lounge in Chicago, Illinois, this 4 week live tournament will pit 4 teams against each other for prizes, fame, and bragging rights. Matches will run Thursdays in March (continuing on March 30th), and will be streamed at overwatchchicago.

Weeklies

  • Rivalcade's weekly tournaments for EU #6 (9 PM CEST) and NA #6 (9 PM EST) run March 28th.

  • Season 2 of the Overwatch Arena, /r/CompetitiveOverwatch's weekly EU community cup with Razer gear and cash for prizes, continues March 30th 18:50 CEST (Sign up here). Steamed at ThePlaysTV.

  • Good Gaming's weekly tournament (#12) runs Thursdays (March 30th) at 8 PM EST.

It's been 5 months and competitive still has the huge bug that prevents my boyfriend from playing

My boyfriend experienced the 'loading screen bug', as described in this post 5 months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/57orkc/warning_you_can_get_banned_for_the_whole_season/

Last season he too got banned because of this bug. He tried everything to fix in, including reinstalling his PC but it didn't work. He also sent Blizzard a ticket, but they basically ignored him after suggesting reinstalling his drivers.

This ranked season, after his ban passed, my boyfriend and I were finally reunited. Everything seemed to work well so I hoped they had fixed it until last night he disconnected again. I will never forget the look on his face. He was so upset. We were having a great time playing with friends, we were so happy to game again together as a couple after waiting a season... Only to experience the same problem again. It was soul crushing to see.

This is my public outcry to Blizzard for my boyfriend and anyone else who experiences the same issue. We all paid for this game, it should work! We have no internet issues (I sit next to him and never got disconnected). So PLEASE, let's bring this issue to light again so hopefully it can get fixed and I can play OW with my boyfriend again.

Tl:dr; bug that's been here for over 5 months still isn't fixed, preventing my bf to play ranked with me. I'm very sad about it, posting so hopefully Blizzard will see and maybe fix it.
