Please stop reporting bad players Posted: 29 Mar 2017 05:24 AM PDT In my shit tier games, I constantly see calls to report players that have performed badly. I understand that it is upsetting when a teammate does not perform their role perfectly, but the report function is there to punish players who actively work to make the game less enjoyable. Just because you're trying out a new hero or have an off game doesn't mean that you should get reported. We could potentially get to a place where fear of getting reported prevents you from trying out new things, which is unhealthy for a game where the meta is constantly evolving. submitted by /u/OffendedDefender [link] [comments]

My fourth new hero is playable, and I am still trying to put together enough people to try out my new heroes in a full 5v5 game of DotA. Posted: 29 Mar 2017 09:49 AM PDT Alright, last time I posted this as the debut of my custom game, which is normal DotA except for the implementation of new heroes I create. Unfortunately, not enough people signed up on the when2meet page to be able to schedule a full 5v5 game. Now, I have added a fourth new hero: Drarvus, the Collector. My game mode is called DotA Resurgence; go ahead and create a lobby with cheats activated and try out all of my new heroes! You need cheats activated (or a friend) to get the most out of the Collector, since his ultimate, Seance, depends on having an allied hero. So, with a new hero out I think now is as good a time as ever to try again at putting together 9 other people to play a full 5v5 game with my new heroes. I've made another when2meet poll here. Since some people seemed confused last time, here is how it works: 1) Sign in with your reddit username, just so I can contact you through reddit. It would also be convenient for you to leave a comment in this thread for easier communication. Using a password is optional, all it does is prevent someone else from changing what you put in. 2) When a second calendar (identical to the first but blank and pink) shows up, click (or click and drag) over the times that you will be available and willing to play a full length game in my custom mode. Note that the hours are expressed in the EST time zone. 3) Note that the calendar scrolls horizontally; it goes all the way to Thursday, April 16th . 4) The times that you are available should show up as dark green on the second calendar, while times you are not should show up as pink. You should also see your changes showing up on the first (main) calendar as well. Alternatively or additionally, you can go to my custom game page in DotA, click on my username (the creator at the top left), and add me to your friend list. That way, I might be able to see "oh I have 12 friends in DotA right now, perhaps we can put together a 5v5 game". The when2meet poll makes scheduling possible, though.
