| PSA: Turning off Barbarian will fix the lag between turns. Posted: 30 Mar 2017 02:55 AM PDT The patch has a bug that causes games with barbarians to hang between turns. This is a coding bug and if you turn them off the game runs fine. EDIT: Thanks for pumping this up, it will help firaxis take note and maybe issue a fix. If you'd like to join a community that will test the bugs and find workarounds for them, or just want to enjoy some friendly no quit multiplayer hop on our discord multiplayer civilization players league server www.discord.gg/uBEpu3u [link] [comments] | ||

| Nuke with (possibly) no repercussions! Posted: 30 Mar 2017 06:28 PM PDT I have not recreated this bug as I just came across it ten minutes ago. I am declared friends with Egypt. I nuke Egypt. I am still declared friends with Egypt, I can't declare war with Egypt, and the rest of the AI players seem oblivious to the fact that I nuked Egypt, except for Gandhi congratulating me. We'll see what happens after the declared friendship is over but either way, that's a pretty big bug to miss. I am Rome by the way. Edit: Also, this is Civ VI Edit 2: Nuked her twice. Still declared friends. [link] [comments] | ||

| The AI seems to be stepping it's game up! Posted: 30 Mar 2017 07:22 AM PDT Already played a couple games this patch, and some of the AI have really improved - especially more Military Minded leaders like Montezuma and Alexander have started to manage outpacing me briefly in science a couple times at Prince. Looking forward to some more challenging games. [link] [comments] | ||
| [Civ VI] Mod Idea: Interesting War Declarations Posted: 30 Mar 2017 10:00 AM PDT I had an idea for a mod that came from Persia's sneak attack bonus. The general idea of the mod would be that the Civ declaring war and the Civ that gets declared war on would get a set of effects for the a certain number of turns after the war starts, based on the type of Casus Belli.
Obviously these are kind of a rough guess and would need to be tweaked. Just a general idea. [link] [comments]
| Undocumented changes in Spring Patch Posted: 30 Mar 2017 05:58 AM PDT I'm starting this thread in hopes we can compile all changes that Spring Patch made yet were not included in patch notes. Stuff I found:
What about Sea Dogs? Were they working fine all the time and we just weren't aware you had to be adjacent to the capturable ship (of major Civ or City State, confirmed by myself) to have a chance for capture? [link] [comments]

| [Discussion] At what point do you think Civ VI will finally overtake Civ V in popularity? Posted: 30 Mar 2017 03:06 PM PDT At any given point, Civ V has 10k to 20k more players than Civ VI. Even on this subreddit, Civ V dominates discourse. Do you think it is even possible for Civ VI to overtake Civ V? What went wrong? And what do you think is stopping people from making the switch? | What's your pettiest reason for declaring war? Posted: 30 Mar 2017 01:09 PM PDT Casually finding AI settlers in the earlygame and declaring surprise war just to steal them feels so good, but also so wrong... [link] [comments] | ||
| Civ 5: How do you properly prepare for war in the ancient and classical eras? Posted: 30 Mar 2017 11:32 AM PDT I'm thinking about playing as Persia and Egypt (Liberty) and it seems that you could use their special units to gain some extra cities early on through warfare. The problem is I find it better to play peacefully early on to build up a solid empire with decent cities then to start warfare in the medieval era to expand. If you fight early then you aren't building strong cities which I find could be problematic. Now I know that while playing liberty you shouldn't be worried about strong cities- quantity over quality- while tradition is the opposite. However I just feel it would push you back from getting the necessary buildings. So I just want to hear some strategies or tips on why or how you fight early on and the benefits. Thanks [link] [comments] | ||
