Daily Discussion Thread 02/21/17

Posted: 20 Feb 2017 11:09 PM PST

Welcome to the Daily Discussion Thread series on /r/smashbros! Inspired by /r/SSBM and /r/hiphopheads's DDTs, you can post here:

  • General questions about Smash

  • General discussion (tentatively allowing for some off-topic discussion)

  • "Light" content that might not have been allowed as its own post (please keep it about Smash)

Other guidelines:

  • Be good to one another.

  • While DDT can be lax, please abide by our general rules. No linking to illegal/pirated stuff, no flaming, game debates, etc.

  • Please keep your meme spam contained to the sticky comment provided below.

If you have any suggestions about future DDTs or anything else subreddit related, please send them our way! Thanks in advance!

Also, if you want to chat with other /r/smashbros users you can do so via our Discord channel.

Why you should pick Battlefield as Lucas

Posted: 21 Feb 2017 12:52 PM PST

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yM47z0EuKQ

And it even takes care of his worst match up. Best stage choice for him, kappa.

If you too like casual combos, I recommend going to basically the best casual discord server ever. There is a huge montage in the makings and you have until the 26th to submit your casual content to it, so hop on in if you want to do that too!

So… What happened to Miiverse?

Posted: 21 Feb 2017 04:39 PM PST

Ever since the "recommended" ruleset came out, Miiverse has been absent from stage lists as an alt for Battlefield. I haven't seen a single person mention a reason for its absence. I like to counterpick there occasionally because I like the minimalistic art style. Is there any justification for banning it whatsoever? If FD can have 3 alts, why can't BF have 2?

Why should I get Project M?

Posted: 21 Feb 2017 08:57 PM PST

Me and my friend group have just started to get into play SSBB. We've been having a lot of fun, and I just found out about Project M, and I'm wondering if getting it would be a fun way to change it up? We aren't very competitive (besides to eachother), but really like playing.
