Korean-based tournament where sixteen invited and qualifying teams from KR, EU, and NA battle for a combined prize pool of ₩200,000,000 KRW ($178,000 USD). The teams are as follows:

Community Tournaments

Agents Overwatch Series

Esports Arena is hosting a series of 3v3 and 1v1 tournaments in February and March. Fireteam 3v3 tournaments will be Thursdays in February; Duel 1v1 tournaments will be Thursdays in March. The second 3v3 tournament begins February 16th 5 PM PST.

Matches will be streamed at EsportsArenaOW.

NEW Enter the Arena

Presented by Razer Arena and Efrag, this grass roots tournament will feature a $2400 prize pool and a live streamed Finals. Tournament begins February 18th 4 PM EST (10 PM CET), with signups ending one hour prior.

The Finals will be streamed at efragtv.

Weeklies

Overwatch Arena, /r/CompetitiveOverwatch's weekly EU community cup with Razer gear and cash for prizes, begins February 16th 18:50 CET (Sign up here). Steamed at ThePlaysTV.

Good Gaming's weekly tournament runs Thursdays (February 16th) at 8 PM EST.

Overwatch Carbon Series

This five-week tournament will feature 6 top NA teams. Matches will be played every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 5:30 PST, beginning on February 20th. The final four teams will participate in the Playoffs on March 20th - 22nd. Full schedule will be listed here (when available).

To the healer whose house was flooding last night

I was playing last night with a bunch of guys I grouped up with after a match, and in the middle of one of the matches one of the guy's mom runs into his room and tell him that the house is flooding and their street is being evacuated. (I think he was up near the Oroville dam craziness, google it). But his mom keeps yelling with increasing anxiety 'Danny, THE HOUSE IS FLOODING!!!!! c'mon!!!!!!!!!!' and he said 'Mom!!!! I'm in a game!!!' He finished the match, we won, and he said "I gotta go, my house it flooding, but I'm going to friend you guys'.

He was a healer too. Medal of Honor for you bud!!

Petition to make Winston's Moon Base as a map in the future

Earlier today, I watched the Dragons animated short and there was a weird looking structure in the moon. In the lore, most characters have an origin place for themselves (Nepal - Zenyatta, Route 66 - McCree, etc.) I thought that the structure on the moon was connected to the lore of the animated short Recall, since Winston was raised there. So, it would be cool to see Winston's moon base to become a future map.

Lunar Event End Time: Even Blizzard Doesn't know (I just tweeted them)

EDIT: They have since added a bulletin (at least on XBOX) that there will be maintenance tomorrow from 5am-7am PST (8am-10am EST, 1pm-3pm GMT)

Posting since everyone seems to be asking every 5min.

I totally blanked last night on buying the rest of the skins and remembered while sitting at work that the event ends today, but God knows what time...Could be 7pm (EST) when the Arcade resets or who knows when...I tweeted Blizzard CS asking if they had a time and this was their response:

"No, sorry. A specific time has not been announced. If you were looking to purchase boxes, they can be bought on the website and they will remain Lunar boxes after the event ends. Sorry we can't be more specific than that"

Edit: Of course they do this so that we do spend money and buy more boxes. Doesn't make it right. Guess I'm just spoiled by Bungie when they actually tell their players set times and remind them that an event is ending soon and when. (spoiled: In the sense they have set times for events/patches/maintenance whatever and always let you know. God knows that Bungie is in NO WAY perfect xD)

Edit 2: Note regarding the first edit: I added that because the first comment I got was "well, hey they want you to spend money..." etc. So I decided to just post it as an edit as an added comment that way everyone else didn't come in here and post the exact same thing. I, personally, do not care one bit if they want you to buy more lootboxes, it's a business OF COURSE that's what they want you to do. I happily buy lootboxes every event because big or small, I like supporting gaming companies. I posted it as an edit because obviously sometimes other people get upset over it and everyone is allowed to have their opinion.

It's amazing that whenever someone on this sub wants to post something to help others, there's always some hate for, honestly, no reason. This was literally made to help answer the question of "does anyone know when the event ends?!" to all the people who have been asking all day. End of story.

Jokes aside, it was a great moment, and it makes me appreciate the value of Overwatch as a shared medium through which we can interact with others. It's a piece of shared culture that helps me bridge an ever growing gap with the next generation.

Anyone else find that Overwatch served as a lovely piece of common ground with people?
