Stonewall008 going trough a tough time

Posted: 07 Feb 2017 11:50 AM PST

link to his video: My Absence - The Worst Month Of My Life

TL;DR from u/D00b for those who cannot watch:

  • His parents separated
  • His favourite uncle passed away recently, living 2 and a half more years when he was diagnosed originally to live within only 6 months
  • His mother blames herself for the death of his uncle due to the stress of the separation which is affecting her mental health
  • His wife said she wanted to separate and atm, she is not with him physically
  • Possibility of losing his house
  • Having to give away his 2 dogs is a reality he has to address as well
  • He most likely won't be able to make new content for a while

Edited the post for clarification.

Original content:

Was thanks to Stonewall that I first started understanding jungling back in the days when he had the tutorial videos on ROG. Trough the ages, I kept on following mostly due to respect for his dedication.

I don't follow him as much right now, due to schedules, but this video left me heartbroken.

This is what really happened on FAKER's stream

Posted: 07 Feb 2017 02:33 AM PST

Hello I'm Korean so please understand my short English. I just can't stand it anymore.

This is why KR fans get mad and blaming at Kongdoo.

  1. Lateness- Faker was definitely ready for the stream. He even didn't have a meal and waited for the streaming. And he always considers every meal very importantly so we can see how he was serious. It was Kongdoo's setting delayed which means the didn't prepared at all during the test-streaming period and no rehearsal for the event.

  2. The translator- There was a woman simultaneous interpreter for international fans and of course there must be many who want to understand what SKT saying. But anyone had watched Peanut or Bang or others streaming? Thought their English wasn't that good but it was understandable. I guess fans will be more happy when players try to say something on their own. They could just put captions or make edited version of stream.

And more worse, people found Kongdoo's help-wanted made more mad. It was said, they find people can speak English.

And plus it written

  • If you're a woman it's ok to don't know about the game(LoL) at all.

HA. They are trying to translate what pro-gamer saying and don't have to know about it. No doubt it seems like they don't know about the name of items or champion's skill, etc. Actually their English wasn't good enough either.

  • We want someone like to communicate with people.

Hey! We don't want to communicate with some random girl, we want to with the players!

  • You can work at home.

And this was why the quality of the stream was dog shit.

Imagine you had a chance to watch the God streaming in first time, it was a girl unknown streaming Faker's screen with her shitty PC.

  1. Faker and chat- You saw Faker's wait, ok, _, ã… _ã… and became happy? Tada! That was the translator chatting(and her breath sibal). You heard Faker saying he wants to communicate with fan and got thrilled? The truth is he even could not see the chats. He asked how many people are watching at beginning remember? He was excluded from the fans and streamed alone. No chat, no communication no nothing. He tried check the chat with his phone but delay was too long(thanks shitty PC). He became nervous more and more while no reactions existed. It must be feel like talking in air. And translator with Faker's name chatting Hey He's not saying anything so give me some question for him so I can choose some of them and ask him! She later banned and blocked someone BM on her, left BM on Faker. It was her stream. Faker was sitting at streaming room alone and try to say something while nothing was their, and finally blame himself that he wasn't good enough and failed to entertaining people. He seemed so awkward and exhausted and it's painstaking watching him like that. Faker couldn't do anything but waiting when his teammates were having fun and he actually pretty got exited and expected a lot but...

All we just can enjoy everything of him? His playing, his facial expression, we could entertain hearing his breath on mic(which was hers fuck). But they treated the world best players like a monkey in the cage or a lion in the circus.

Anyone saw Bang's streaming after his translator gone? Saw how much he enjoy the streaming and communicating with fan? They don't deserve this. NO. NEVER.

People in Korea have some suspicion Kongdoo try to make copyrights for the streaming inserting translators voice. Some fans called at Kongdoo and they said nothing but they are gathering and considering some opinions. Fuck off there's only one opinion.

Thanks to read this long writing. I not usually say bad words but today I can't curse enough with English so

Why is there no "Lethality" tab in the shop?

Posted: 07 Feb 2017 07:04 AM PST

From what I remember there used to be an "Armor Pen" tab - I think they should have one for Lethality

Appreciate the way SPOTV shows the keystone masteries

Posted: 07 Feb 2017 12:52 AM PST

Gotta give credit where credit is due. I know that a lot of people do not agree with how SPOTV is running LCK, but it's really nice to be able to see the keystones during the entire game, and not just for 10 seconds in the start of the game.

This is what I'm talking about: http://imgur.com/a/InqKx

I'm not sure why it's not yet implemented in other regions/broadcasts, but i sure hope to see it sooner than later!

Elementalist lux shield and Edge of Night look too similar

Posted: 06 Feb 2017 09:26 PM PST

This skin's shield looks very similar to edge of night during team fights and spells are wasted trying to figure out the difference between the two.

When the game comes down to split second decisions it sucks when you have to step back and wonder if something is going to stop your spell or not.

Lux Shield / Edge of Night / Team Fight with both

If you're having trouble jungling as Darius remember that if you kill an enemy champion with your ult it fears monsters for 3 seconds.

Posted: 06 Feb 2017 10:28 PM PST

Really helps his jungling by a lot, giving you 3 seconds to bash the monsters.
