As someone who uses try mode often-ish to test my mechanics and different talent builds, its kinda annoying to have to set it to level 20 and remove malfurion every single time. QOL change: Update tooltips to reflect changes in cooldowns, mana cost or damage. Posted: 04 Feb 2017 06:56 PM PST Tooltips currently do not adjust to show changes in cooldowns, damage or mana costs. As you can see here, two screenshots, one with mana reduction talents and a completed CDR talent. The other with no mana reduction talent and no completed CDR talent. Both show the same mana cost and the same cooldown. When it comes to a cooldown reduction of 2 seconds, it isn't that big of a deal, but this problem also applies to longer and more critical cooldowns, like Xul's bone armor if he takes shade and increases the cooldown by 20s. I kept seeing references to Bone Armor with no explanation of what it does in the first place. I think this information should be added to the hero details in the hero select. Thoughts? Can we please get an official "how to draft" properly guide? Posted: 04 Feb 2017 06:17 PM PST It seems that a lot of people have trouble drafting. Even at master MMR, there are some pretty terrible drafts. Not that you can't win with a bad draft, but it definitely puts your team at a starting disadvantage. Especially poor drafting choices like no tank and/or no healer; which you think would be common sense, but doesn't seem to be. Yes, we know you can win without them, but if I recall, the win percentage is very low (I'm sure someone can link it). It is definitely not ideal practice. Things that could be addressed are:

HGC North America :: Tempo Storm vs Team 8 :: Discussion Thread Posted: 04 Feb 2017 04:20 PM PST The only two remaining undefeated teams from North America finally meet here in Week 3. Team 8 has had a fairly lenient schedule leading up to this point, which has resulted in them dropping only a single map so far in the HGC (Cursed Hollow in their Week 2 series against B-Step). Their residence on easy street comes to an end this weekend as they must now measure up to the likes of Tempo Storm and Gale Force eSports. "Team 8 is 3-0 so far without playing the top teams. They'll be tested this weekend playing us and GFE. If they can walk away having won one or both series, they'll definitely be established as a top tier team in North America." – Harrison "Psalm" Chang, Tempo Storm For their first matchup against Tempo Storm there are a few key things to look at. Tempo has had a lot of close calls, squeaking out 3-2 victories over Naventic and Team Freedom. They're no stranger to taking a series down to the wire. Both of their fall regional trophies were awarded off the heels of a series that went a full five maps. One trend that has emerged from their games in the HGC is that the team has struggled on Battlefield of Eternity, having lost on the Battleground both times they've played it. Depending on how much respect they want to give Team 8, Tempo may ban the Battleground, but this opens up room for Team 8 to throw a curveball and possibly take them to a Battleground such as Warhead Junction – where uncharted territory for both teams may open up some opportunities for Team 8 to execute a cheesy pocket strategy. Posted: 04 Feb 2017 10:55 AM PST There are a few heroes that have recieved talent reworks and they are right back to only having one viable build. Dehaka, Zeratul, Tychus, and Butcher have incredibly high pick rates for one talent over the other 3 in the vast majority of their talent tiers. If their intention with the reworks was to provide real options for players I think these heroes need to be looked at. If they set up the reworks properly they should be able to shift some numbers around to make the other talents a little more attractive. It might be time for some tweaking. [link] [comments] |
