Posted: 20 Feb 2017 05:07 PM PST Hey guys, Xinryu here! So I just put out the start of a microguide series, currently geared toward newer players. Videos are as follows: I'm planning on adding more to this list later, but I figured this would be a good place to start! Hopefully this helps at least one person out! [link] [comments]
Can Demon Hunter finally get some love? This is *ridiculous.* Posted: 20 Feb 2017 09:41 AM PST I can make it to rank 70 (now 76) on the demon hunter leaderboard but am getting kicked from group games before a whirlwind barb that was dealing minimal damage (I think it had half my dps) and pulling mobs worse than I was. The barb was running IP-Mob Rule but kept dying in an 80. What's the point of keeping non-perma IP if the rest of the party is always in archon mode or epiphany and my numbing traps causes the same amount of damage reduction? We can get godawfully many seasons of archon wizards and gen monks, but I can't remember demon hunter being accepted for group play since z-crusaders were typical. Hell, even zDH was shunned outside of hardcore for higher GRs when it was even used. Thanks for making calamity worse than garbage Blizzard! I have played demon hunter since vanilla was released, and I'm fed up with the expectation that DH has to be a solo class. I want to do group GRs and am sick of doing higher solo GRs than group ones, and it's not like I'm running LoN FoK. I'm running UE grenades and am set to solo an 88 and have run DPS in a 90 just fine running fortress ballista before getting my balefire caster. It's ridiculous to be kicked from group games at gr levels below what you've soloed. I don't expect to be doing 115's on DH, but it'd be nice to DPS in a 95 instead of needing to make a goddamn zmonk every season to level my dps gems. Rhykker had a video covering the top group play clears (I forget if the criterion was clearing 100+ or the top 100 from each server or the top 100 worldwide), but there was only a single demon hunter dps in all those clears. I am SICK of DH not having a place in group play.Demon hunter hasn't had a place in group play since season 3. Six fucking seasons blizzard. And it's looking like DH won't have a place in it for season 10 either. And the holy point shot buff has to get feedback before the shadow six piece bonus will apply to bonus enemy hits? Does blizzard just hate demon hunter? Yet monks and barbs have had a place in 4-man groups since season 1. And then wizards have been in group play from season 5 to season 9. 4 fucking seasons straight blizzard. Yes, firebats has replaced wizard for dps in top GRs, but lightning wizards still dominate and have a place in higher pushes. I want to play the game socially, but it's ridiculous to be expected to run 4 mans lower than your solo play when you're running a group play viable build. Blizzard, double archon's cooldown, give DH Seven seasons without a place in group play is just ridiculous. You want to balance the game? Make other builds viable. Right now you can only get into 90+ group running zbarb, zmonk, raiment shenlongs, firebats, or lightning wiz. If you can get a top clear in your class, you should be able to dps in a top GR game. Period. [link] [comments]
My opinion about set dungeons after finishing them solo Posted: 20 Feb 2017 08:22 AM PST Holy crap the disparity between them is so high some of them are super easy and finished after 2 tries and some took me 1+ hours all because of rng mob density and positioning (worst are DH:UNHALOWED ESSENCE MONK:ULIANAS WIZARD:DMO WD:HELTOTH CRUSADER:ROLANDS BRABARIAN:REAKOR & WAIST ) im glad that i dont have to do them again at least not the rng ones for conquests [link] [comments]
How do you play when your teammate is a wizard? Posted: 20 Feb 2017 05:54 PM PST Any advice on how to tell what the fuck is going on would be appreciated. Whenever I play w a wizard I die in situations I'm fine solo or w just about any other class because I can't see shit and everything looks the god damn same. [link] [comments]
Is it worth putting gems on my gear before max level? Posted: 20 Feb 2017 11:47 AM PST Hi all, I am currently playing through the game again after a 2 year hiatus, and was wondering if it is worth putting gems on my gear before reaching max level, The only reason I ask is that when I am low level I will always be changing my gear consistently until nearer to end game where it will be harder to get better gear. I am currently a level 28 wizard who has just started Act 2. Thank you very much [link] [comments]

Necro DLC? Diablo deserves at least mini-expansion! Posted: 20 Feb 2017 09:25 PM PST If Diablo 3 has to join the dryish dlc fashion, make sure it is more like one hell of a mini-expansion! It should be aimed to be the best selling DLC the world has seen, it's Diablo franchise after all. Do they really want to gamble whether Necro is going to sell enough alone? Instead, ask more resources from Blizzard, make Necro DLC cost $5 more, whatever. Just make sure that Necro DLC is something that draws players back. If I was the marketing guy, I would announce (with better wording and less drunk /joke) that:
Diablo 3 has been a great journey and we are very proud of it! As the Necromancer is soon here, "Restoring the Balance", we are making some major adjustments and additions for Diablo 3. The Necromancer will be released in December and it will change the gameplay so significantly that we are going to update the version number to 3.0. Our main target is to double, even triple the build diversity and the amount of viable builds. Half comes from balancing and half comes from a very exciting new addition, the Relics*.
Of course there could be much more issues taken care of but you got the point. I hear too many saying that "nice that Necro is coming, but it will remain just the same". Instead it would be nice to hear that "Holy skeleton! Did you hear what's coming with the Necromancer?" When I last time was that excited, it was for Kanai's Cube and the Legendary Gems.
We are soon paying for the content so it's not over the top to ask that there could be some new gameplay features as well. *the mentioned Relics example taken from my Relics suggestion topic so I wouldn't be just shouting in the wind without any solutions: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/d3/topic/20753335949?page=4#post-78
We criticize Diablo 3 pretty much. That's because we care. We care because we have a passion towards the Diablo franchise!
Best Regards and Have a Nice Week! http://bnetcmsus-a.akamaihd.net/cms/blog_header/r1/R16BEBZPJ11R1478285467370.png (Necro picture link if Reddit happens to capture it to flair) [link] [comments]

Is diablo 3 worth playing on PS4 Posted: 20 Feb 2017 05:05 PM PST
Posted: 20 Feb 2017 10:08 PM PST I am currently returning from a hiatus of playing since last summer at some point. The first thing i did was go check out some wizard builds, and started getting to work. I had a pretty decent set of gear with a few ancients before, and i saw the archon set with tal rasha and vyr combined seems to be the best bet. That being said, i didnt have a good starfire or a good in-geom, my weapons from before were chantodo's. So what did i do? I built a triple archon set. 4 piece vyr, 6 piece tal's, and chantodos set (made possible by RORG obviously) What do i lose from this? I can only pick in-geom or starfire as my weapon cube, and i dont have the free archon stacks from the fazula's belt. BUT, in exchange i get the AOE mega pulse that chantodos grant. Is this just an inferior build? It seems to be working fine for me (playing in torment 13) and i am really curious if this would be good enough to work with, or if i should really focus on getting a nice starfire/in-geom instead. I just find it hard to believe the bonus from one of those makes up for having that massive aoe pulse damage. Thoughts? [link] [comments]
Reddit noob question. How do I make this subreddit look like it used to for the last year or so? Posted: 20 Feb 2017 08:54 PM PST I can't stand how everything looks right now, makes me want to just close this window and not come back because it's so unpleasant on my eyes. I only visit r/Diablo something like twice a month just to catch up on the current meta and find builds and whatnot, but then I came back today to find everything had changed. I thought I was in the wrong subreddit for a good 5 minutes, going around in circles, struggling to find the "correct" one. Was swapping between r/Diablo3 and this one and going "wtf?", until I realised that I was in the right subreddit, it's just that someone has just made everything look horrible for some reason. Just wondering how I can change it back to the old, familiar look, so I can browse this subreddit again properly and not want to stab my eyeballs out while I do so? Thanks :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Feb 2017 08:38 PM PST It's regarding about the Flail-Shield set. I can't help but notice the Flail being 2 handed. That implies that the Crusader is bound to use the Heavenly Strength passive for him to use the set. Switching the Flail to a one handed flail would free up that passive slot preferably to Fervor for that sweet cooldown reduction. [link] [comments]

Expansion Question (really stupid) Posted: 20 Feb 2017 12:16 PM PST So I want to buy Diablo and I just learned that there will be a new expansion. Do I have to pay for both of the exlansions (current and future one) in order tk be able to play the newest things added or I must buy only the newest expansion? [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Feb 2017 12:21 PM PST I've mainly played WW barb and Hammerdin but just dusted off my Demon Hunter and every single one of them I seem to faceroll through GR 50-54 then GR 55 is like a totally different game. I've been watching vids and strats and playing around with my build but I just cannot seem to get the damage needed to beat the timer in solo. Anything above GR50 in public games I need to be carried hard. Is this a difficulty design that I'm running into or am I just woefully undergeared/underskilled? I'm not sure how to post my profile but if it's necessary let me know and I'll add it in. Edit: Found my profile [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Feb 2017 11:09 AM PST I was just curious, do most people play through the campaign again or just hop right into adventure mode? I usually do campaign to get the completion achievements since I usually play a class I've never used before. [link] [comments]
How do I move up in Greater Rifts? Posted: 20 Feb 2017 09:51 AM PST I have a witch doctor that I'm enjoying the hell out of at the moment. But I think I'm at a bit of a plateau. I was just barely able to complete GR 20 for my seasonal reward. I mean, the monsters died fast enough but I took a lot of damage. It that normal? Best way I know to do a comparison is after a lower GR, my repair cost on armor and such is like 2-3k. After my lvl 20 it was around 6-7k. Im currently running a pet build that I kinda pieced together. Have mostly jade harvester armor with 2 zani pieces for the fetish army passive. Do I just bite the bullet and do a conventional build? Or focus more in life steal items and such. I also use haunt and piranhas as well as acid rain. [link] [comments] |
