How to jungle with Lycan for noobs

Lycanthrope isn't as strong as jungler as he once was. He was buffed recently which made it more viable again, but he's still not what I'd consider to be a strong jungler early on.

I know people love to jungle in pubs because you don't have to worry about last hitting (and can pick four carries - who doesn't like playing carries?) but it's not always the best idea. It's not just about how quickly you farm - having a hero in the jungle also weakens your lanes, and if it's a carry means you're relying on a single support hero who is going to be left overwhelmed. That said, if you've already got four carries anyway then it's probably the best place for him.

Lycanthrope isn't as stong in lane as some other pub junglers like Ursa and Lifestealer (who are both so good at getting early kills that jungling them should really be criminal), but he's decent enough. Last hitting with him is pretty easy with his high base damage, especially with some early points in Feral Impulse or Howl. Your wolves can be used to harass, or simply to ensure last hits by having them attack at the same time as your hero. Once you get your Vladmir's Offering, you can hit the jungle to your heart's content.

If you want to jungle from the start, then it's important to micro your wolves to keep them alive - they're very fragile early on and will die quickly if you let them get focused. You will probably need to tank the creeps yourself to begin with - an early Stout Shield and Ring of Protection will help with that. As you get points in your wolves and get closer to your Vladmir's Offering things will get progressively easier, but those early levels are generally going to be quite tough.

Spawn Summon Wolves at 0:07 in fountain, wait for mana regen. Go to nearest camp. You tank the creeps, let wolves attack. If wolves are about to expire, they should tank the creeps (they die anyway soon so you don't need to take additional damage). Use choke points. Also if you got unlucky camps you should suicide right after you have 500 gold(Ring of Basilius)
