Evil Geniuses are the HyperX D2L Western Challenge champions
Without dropping a single game in the playoffs, Evil Geniuses become the champions of the D2L Western Challenge and earn themselves $28,000 in the process. The highlight of the series was undoubtedly game two, which became an absolute nail biter as Oleksandr 'XBOCT' Dashkevych's Lycanthrope reached critical mass and fought off Evil Geniuses several times almost single-handedly, but in the end Ludwig 'Zai' WÃ¥hlberg's Sand King created more than enough space for the NA, who took back the momentum and claimed an exhausting game two. By the time game three rolled around, each team traded blows intially, but with superb teamfights Na'Vi were eventually so far behind that Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev could simply play clean up with his signature Templar Assassin
Prize distribution:
- 1st - EG: $28,0002nd
- 2nd - Na'Vi: $18,0003rd
- 3rd - Fnatic: $9,0004th
- 4th - Team Empire: $4,500

The International 4: Valve invites Brazilian and Spanish casters
Valve keeps on surprising the Dota 2 community as it is leaving no stone unturned in making TI4 as grandular as possible. Besides the English, Chinese and Russian broadcasters, Valve has also invited personalities from Brazil and Spain to cast at TI4.
In an all out attempt to make TI4 the biggest esports event of all time, Valve has gone a step further by inviting Brazilian and Spanish personalities to Key Arena, Seattle. Skeatdota from NoMadTV and Gui 'PDS' Pullin are the Brazilian casters in-charge with keeping the Brazilian community entertained.

All four Chinese members of CiS Game had their visas denied
Visa issues have struck yet another team that's looking to attend TI4. All of the Chinese members of the CiS Game roster have had their initial visa applications denied by the American embassy. A similar situation is currently looming over the winners of the SEA qualifier for The International 2014, Arrow Gaming, who will be attempting their second application on the 25th.
The only player within the organisation that is left unscathed in the situation is Domink 'Black^' Reitmeier, who will have no problem entering the US due to being a German national. The hopes of CIS now lie in Valve for their second interview which is scheduled tomorrow. Maybe they are able to draw a comparison to LoL players, who have official athlete status.
