Posted: 01 Sep 2018 11:28 PM PDT Hello everyone, I am hoping I can get some help from the community as I am at my wit's end with Rockstar support. So two weeks ago I bought gtav for the pc and I proceeded to TRY and download it but for two weeks Rockstar Social Club downloader fought me every step of the way. Despite much agony I FINALLY managed to download the whole game. Now when I launch it it gives me the " game crashed unexpectedly window". Now, I have tried absolutely everything there is to try on the internet and I just cannot find a fix. I am going to go bloody ballistic. How is it that five years after release and billions of $ in revenue they can't provide a game that actually works? Please, if anyone is willing to help me out I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
Single Player stock Market wont Update Posted: 01 Sep 2018 08:42 PM PDT I am playing the single player campaign for the first time and I've reached a point where I can do assassinations for Lester. As most of you know, you should invest in some stocks before doing these for an easy profit, but I'm facing an issue where the stocks just wont update. I Googled it but couldn't find anyone with this issue, so I came here for further help. [link] [comments] |
I can't buy guns, clothes or anything Posted: 01 Sep 2018 06:12 PM PDT In single player when I try to buy anything you normally press right on the directional pad. I press it and nothing happends. Some bug? Some work around? Thanks [link] [comments] |
What'd I'd like to see in GTA VI Posted: 01 Sep 2018 07:58 AM PDT I know we get one of these posts every day, so I'll try to make my post a little different. If this post seems nitpicky towards GTA V, that's not my intent. GTA V's a 10/10 game and the single player experience is one of the best of this decade. One of the big things I'd like to see is a bit of cross between IV and V's physics. They both have their pros and cons. Seeing as V was made for the same consoles as IV (a game that was already pushing the limit) and it has the graphics of a Pixar movie and a world several times the size of IV, they obviously had to sacrifice a lot. Combat in IV was amazing. You could shoot an M4 out of a cop's hand and they'd pull out a pistol. You couldn't kill someone by shooting them in the feet, they'd just fall (whereas in V, one shot to the foot is a death for non-police NPCs). NPCs react differently depending on where they're shot. It's still fucking amazing today. And hand to hand combat? One punch in GTA V is a KO, in GTA IV you can have actual fights. There are poor aspects of IV' s physics though. Bailing from a car makes you look like you're on the moon and weigh 50 pounds. NPCs will hold onto cars unrealistically long. And does Niko know what a fucking seatbelt is? Flying through the windshield was funny at first, but when it happens during every chase at some point, it's just annoying. Overall, I'd like to see the positive aspects of both games' physics combined. More character development is something I'd absolutely love. It's something V's very lacking in compared to San Andreas and (especially) IV. A lot of people hated the "friends" feature, and even though it was annoying at times, for the most part I liked it. I got to hear stories from these characters' pasts and it made them feel so much more human than any other video game characters in history for me. I wasn't particularly fond of Kate, but Niko obviously was and I enjoyed seeing the other side of him. Their relationship also felt very believable to me. I chose the revenge path, and I don't think I'd ever been left more satisfied by a video game than when I blew Jimmy Pegorino's brains out. I don't need a bigger map, but I want one that's more alive. V appears alive when you're moving, but stop to take it in and the illusion dies. NPC interactions felt realer in IV, but I'd still like to see something more than that. I'd also like more unique interiors. It's something that IV did way better than V, but if we're being real, interiors have never been GTA's strongsuit. Unique interiors could make for some amazing combat situations and would also simply make the world feel more alive. I want an atmosphere. It can be a period piece but it doesn't need to be. GTA III felt very dark and gritty. Playing as a mute psychopath hellbent on revenge in the dark and rainy Liberty City was great. Vice City made you feel like you were in the 80s. The soundtrack (containing a mix of both some of the best and worst songs ever written) was absolutely perfect and it added to the atmosphere. The cars, the clothes, the neon lights. It sounds weird saying it, but I feel like the outdated graphics just add to the atmosphere. San Andreas made you feel like you were in the 90s southwest in the same way Vice City did. The way the game intertwines itself into real events from the time added depth as well. And there's something really spooky about the northeast portion of the map. Las Venturas actually felt like a shiny but empty city in the absolute middle of nowhere. There was something that just felt off about it. IV's gray filter added a grimness to the game that isn't there in TBOGT. When you freeroam in TBOGT, it doesn't feel like you're playing the same game. IV's constant dark tone made it a very memorable experience. V? Nothing unique about the way it feels honestly. I'd also like better humor. The humor in Vice City to IV wasn't the same low-brow cringe shit we have in V. Their conversations always at the very least got a smile out of me. Oh, and the talk shows and radio commercials in III to San Andreas? Funny as fuck. IV and V's radio satire is just cringe-inducingly bad though (besides that Pisswasser commercial in IV). I'd like a protagonist that I actually like. Claude was a badass. Tommy was a loveable asshole. Every single cutscene with CJ put a smile on my face. Niko was the most well developed character we ever got, and as a very poor person who grew up surrounded by crime, I could relate to him and CJ. Michael? Lost all respect for him in the first scene. You can't get me to like a snitch who tried to have his friends killed, even in a GTA game. He's also very manipulative. I actually liked Franklin but he was a bit of a pushover and he was very underdeveloped. Trevor could've been great but they tried very hard to make him funny and he just wasn't. I don't want a never-before-seen GTA city. I'd like a universally culturally relevant US city that the whole world can make fun of. We already saw New York and LA in HD. I'd probably like to see 80s Miami again. Anyways, those are my wishes. What're yours? [link] [comments] |

a little problem with connection Posted: 01 Sep 2018 08:52 AM PDT Did anyone experience any connection issues today? I can't launch the game, because it says that the rockstar servers are unavailable (even tho they're up). Sometimes i just do not connect at all (starts in offline mode). The weirdest thing is that sometimes the game/RGSC asks me to write in a serial number (like during an installation). Been trying to figure out what the fuck is going on the whole day and i can't think of anything really, tried almost everything that's a solution online and nothing has worked. My guess is that something from my pc is blocking the game from connecting to Rockstar servers, but i don't know how to check it. If anyone can help i will be very grateful. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 01 Sep 2018 10:01 AM PDT Why does my game stutter when i have vsync off it goes from 160fps down to 30fps. But when i have vsync on it stays at 60fps without stutters, but i dont like playing with vsync on. I dont think its my pc's specs that arent good enough Specs: Gtx 1060 6gb, i5 8400 and 16gb ddr4 ram. [link] [comments] |
Want to do some races on GTA with my friends - is there any way I can connect my steering wheel? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 07:36 AM PDT Hey, I have the Thrustmaster Ferrari Spider 458. Terrible wheel, I know. But I just want to hook it up to play GTA with my friends and try out the game with the wheel. However, everytime I load it up it asks me to connect a controller. So for some reason, it only works with the actual Xbox One controller. Is there any way around this? I've tried loading up my Xbox with only the wheel connected and it still has the error message. FYI, I have an Xbox One S. Don't know why it wouldn't work, wheels worked on the 360 and that was the exact same game. Thanks for any help. [link] [comments] |

The biggest issue I have with all Grand Theft Auto games! Must Read! Posted: 01 Sep 2018 09:50 AM PDT How come the speed of all the NPC vehicles are so slow and not realistic at all? Let be honest here folks, no one drive this slow in real life. Is it to give us the sense of speed but at the same time it makes it more of a challenge in traffics because the NPC drive so slow that it makes speeding the only option. You don't run a red light in real life and I been thinking about it a lot but it not because GTA is a game because you do it. It actually has to do with the fact that the NPC drivers and the speed of NPC vehicles are not remotely realistic at all. On highway/freeway the NPC drive a measly 40 mph (local speed in real life) and they drive much slower than 40 mph on local street. Hell I would say in local street the NPC drive like every street is in the middle of a school zone. And this is what is really frustrating, its never really been talk about and why hasn't Rockstar done anything about it? It literally is the "elephant in the room" and it the most noticeable thing about these games. I'm not saying other similar games (true crimes, saint row, mafia) have it right but they aren't the same quality as Grand Theft Auto. Do you guys notice this or is this something that you never thought off before? Discuss below! [link] [comments] |
