I think a few, rare Treasure items needs to have "Furniture preview" treatment. Some of them are wildly interesting.

Your daily reminder that free stuff is FREE STUFF

Posted: 06 Sep 2018 08:58 PM PDT

If you gave someone a bag of free goodies and they whined about what you gave them, what would you think of that person? Complaining about free crates is kind of... Well, you figure it out. They don't have to give us anything and some of us enjoy the crates. If you pay for them, we'll that's on you because you know what the rng is like.

Elder scrolls Voiceover Artist in need of video footage

Hi! I play the Drake of Blades, Bosmer Females, Dunmer females, and several other characters in Elder Scrolls Online. I was wondering if anyone can get me footage of some Drake of Blades scenes uploaded to vimeo so I can have them? Email is ariannaratnervo@gmail.com

I’m new and need help

Posted: 07 Sep 2018 03:45 AM PDT

I bought this games a few days ago and downloaded it. In the mean time I watched some of it on YouTube, so when I started, I realised that it was the opening cutscene for morrowind, where you start on a boat that gets sunk by slavers. Is there anyway to get back to the main game, or do I need to play the dlc and then find a way back?

Wow it is so much better than I expected. The setting, the quests, the story and the gameplay of this area are some of my favorite in the whole game. The orcs are so cool!!

[Discussion][PS4] Magblade dps rotation without addons

Posted: 06 Sep 2018 10:53 PM PDT

Hi all!

I just finished leveling my new Magblade after starting as a MagDK. I have my gear down (Mother's Sorrow/BS Weave/Skoria) minus the Maelstrom Staff because I am a b***h and am too afraid to attempt the arena before cp300 (am 291 now, so...this weekend maybe?). However, my question for my fellow console-pleb-blades is: without addons to manage a dynamic rotation, do you practice the living hell out of mentally juggling your cooldowns, or do you use a more static rotation? What rotations do you use, and how much dps am I losing by overcasting, even if only a bit for simplicity?

My current rotation is:

Channeled Acceleration>LA>Swap>LA>Siphoning>LA>Merciless Res>LA>Swap>LA>Blockade>LA>Twisting Path>LA>Crippling Grasp>LA>Swap>LA>Spectral Bow (if I have weaved properly, otherwise when up)>LA>Elemental weaponX3...reapeat from AOEs, then repeat from Siphoning Strikes, and again from the beginning.

I have by no means gotten this perfected, but I would like to know how I should tweak it before I commit it to muscle-memory. Thank you for any help!

Stam Warden Healers - What sets are you running?

Posted: 06 Sep 2018 09:05 PM PDT

Got an event next week running dungeons with 1 stamward healer and 3 wws. I know it's fair from a meta build, but it looks fun. Any one have some good set combo ideas? I'm thinking spc+assault+rkugamz.

Thanks for your build/setup ideas!

[Discussion] Dear ZOS: Please Remove the Gold Cost for Skill/Attribute Refund

Posted: 06 Sep 2018 02:43 PM PDT

A few days ago, and I assume this had to do with the most recent DLC, the cost of attribute and skill point refunds were so dirt cheap, I expected an Argonian to make its home there. Of course, all good things in life do not last, and this too goes with ESO. They returned to their normal excessive cost, and this put my meager mind into thinking--there is quite literally a cost to creativity.

One of the major draws to me of ESO, is the overall flexibility and creativity that are lent to the player--gear synergies, skills and their morphs, situations, monster sets. There are a variety of ways to play and build, depending on what it is one wants to do, and the situation they find themselves in. When these refund prices were cheap, I found myself experimenting across the board with skills and their morphs, and found several new joys of skill use that I had never tried before--Silver Bolts in first person view lets me feel like a gunslinger.

This also allowed me to change up my normal tanking DK, into a magicka based fire-spewing fun time. I never knew how much fun it could be to fire whip my enemies, and to watch their health deplete. However, if I want to to return to tanking, I not only have to spend gold on attributes, but not also on skills--not just the morphs. This will cost several tens of thousands of gold. For me, that is a lot of digital shiny money.

I understand there's a desire for some manner of gold sync, to help keep gold or whatever a game's currency might be, relevant. However, I think the mark here has been missed greatly. Take WoW for instance: to change up ones talents and class spec, you simply go to an inn/rest area, and swap out and test to your heart's content. This is free. This allows the player to experiment with what they like, don't like, and when and where a situation might call for one talent over another. This allows for that build creativity, and it makes the experience all the more enjoyable.

Now I know what some might say: getting gold is easy! Simply join a trade guild or two, farm X item and sell! While yes, it may be easy to farm for items, it also puts artificial gameplay into ESO, and it shouldn't have to. Gaining wealth in that manner should be a fun byproduct, or a personal goal one sets--farming and spending hours upon hours just to make enough gold so one can experiment with skills and builds, which may not work out as effectively as one hopes, does not make for a compelling gaming experience.

I understand that overall, gold in ESO has little importance. So much of what a player might truly find useful, is able to be self-found, or self-crafted. Gold in ESO does have its purpose, and it is useful, but it shouldn't be the barrier in creativity--which is one of the focal points of an Elder Scrolls game in general. I think such a barrier not only limits creativity, but goes against the very spirit of what makes the Elder Scrolls games so uniquely their own.

ZOS, you've made it so that all classes can more or less fulfill all roles--albeit some more suitable than others. It's clear you want people to experiment, and be able to play 'their way'. I ask that you give us more freedom to do so, by doing one of two things: either drastically reduce to cost of such refunds to be as it was some days ago (several hundred gold, instead of multiple tens of thousands), or preferably, to remove such a cost completely.

Don't make something as tiresome as a gold barrier be the limit our creativity. Let that limit be ourselves.

Viability of wood elves

Posted: 07 Sep 2018 04:35 AM PDT

Just a question. All my stam classes are redguards and I can pull fairly high DPS (e.g stamplar doing around 35k dps). I want to make a stamsorc but being a redguard seems to boring/repetitive now.

I still think I need some recovery, so if I were to go a wood elf, how much damage would I be missing out on?

And do many people end game use wood elves?

Question about Cyrodill

Posted: 07 Sep 2018 04:35 AM PDT

I'm really not a huge fan of the whole pvp. Maybe it's cause I don't understand it or what but I play this game more for the lore and exploring and doing quests. I want to explore Cyrodill and get the exploration achievements. Is there a way to kind of sneak around Cyrodill without getting attacked by other players?

Spriggans for no-CP Battlegrounds?

Posted: 07 Sep 2018 04:31 AM PDT

Is this set a good choice for a Stamblade?

I'm running bone pirates for the base set and looking at what to have for the 2nd set and monster. I've been getting really mixed reports about Spriggans. Some say its BiS because of the raw damage is provides whereas others say the pen is pointless making the set a waste of gold and that shacklebreaker will offer the same damage but with loads extra mag for survivability.

The variety of sets in this game is kinda cool as there isn't just one stable meta but it's also a bit frustrating as a new player as you just want something to get you going.

Could anyone offer some advice and maybe even explain why you think a certain set is better? I'd also be curious to know what skills you use as I can't fit all of leeching strikes, shadow image and fear all on my bars, let alone an execute.

Much appreciated!

I've now encountered Chinese gold farmers twice

Posted: 07 Sep 2018 04:21 AM PDT

So I've learned somethings from my encounters with the Chinese gold farmers. The first time I met one was friendly with broken English but explained to me they get paid to farm gold on ESO and then usually sell 3 mill gold for 120 US$. The 2nd time I encountered them I started conversation and was told "NO TALKING DURING WORK!" and was immediatley voted out lol.

vHRC Yokeda Kai Bugged?

Posted: 06 Sep 2018 08:14 PM PDT

Anyone else seeing issues with this boss? The adds seem to take damage normally until they are at ~5% then they take very little damage. They are very hard to kill and this makes it hard to focus the main boss. Also the meteors are dropping like crazy but it seems like all the trials have an additional amount of hate since last DLC (twins are way more awful these days).

So, I completed the main story on my Xbox account and of course, I loved the game. I made another account on my PS4. I don't really wanna do the whole main story again, but I find myself getting bored. Any suggestions? This happen to anyone else? I don't wanna stop playing cause it's a good game. I just need something more..I guess lol
