I might be of the minorities here but I hope that Zenimax will continue to focus on creating more and more single player content

Posted: 03 Sep 2018 10:50 PM PDT

I know all the uproar about how ESO being an MMORPG primarily focuses on single player content and I may be of the minorities here but I thoroughly enjoy all the single player content Zenimax releases. I always wished for a Elder Scrolls game with MMO features and ESO is exactly that. If ESO had primary focus on multiplayer exclusive content, I doubt whether I would've felt elder scroll adventurous feeling. There are many other MMO with primary focus on multiplayer content so I just wish that ESO will not go in that direction and stay like this. Anyone else feel this way?

Pardon me for my English, it's not my first language.

Soloed a world boss for the first time

Posted: 03 Sep 2018 11:32 PM PDT

I tried ushmal's rest, that vampire khajiit boss. It was boring tbh, slowly whittling the stupid thing's health down. But it felt nice to get that sense of progression. My skinny magsorc was scared of delves till like level 30 because I had no idea about shields, rotation, debuffs etc.

It was so satisfying to watch the so called 'Lord' Nur-dro just keel over while hitting my shields in futility. Felt pretty badass. This is probably one of the easier WBs cuz there were not much CCs flying at me so I just shield stacked my way to victory.

So yeah, just wanted to share a proud moment my irl friends would never understand.

Small tip; Go into sneak before going AFK

Posted: 03 Sep 2018 04:53 PM PDT

This may already be common knowledge but being in sneak lengthens the time that you can be away before being kicked by the client. I haven't tested exactly how much of an increase is gained but I'm able to walk my dogs, so I'm guessing upwards of ten-fifteen minutes.

We're in agreement then.

Never give up! It can be done.

Posted: 03 Sep 2018 03:19 PM PDT

Came back from a long trip to this somewhat saddening realization...

Posted: 03 Sep 2018 07:37 PM PDT

I really hate the white gear you get from crates and urns in such.

Posted: 03 Sep 2018 01:09 PM PDT

It's got 0 gold value and I hate it that I'm always grabbing it by accident. I know it's just trash loot but I wish it was like other trash loot and worth 9g or something.

Another ice magic writeup.

Posted: 04 Sep 2018 04:23 AM PDT

Ice magic. How to make it better for everyone.

What we do is separate tank and dps.

How we do this is: Ice staff: Heavy attack now applies an armour reduction to the enemies hit. This makes the staff more effective for BOTH DPS AND TANKING.

We change elemental susceptibility to do different effects based off the staff equipped. In this case, Frost Susceptibility would apply major fracture and taunt the enemy. This makes an ice staff tank now an effective tank.

To make ice dps better as in damage we need to seperate high dps from CC(an idea that ZOS wants to do themselves.)

Right now the morphs that need to be looked at are:

Morph(Base skill)

Northern Storm(Sleet Storm) Expansive Frost Cloak (Frost Cloak) Arctic Wind Line Crystallized Slab(Crystallized Shield) Frozen Retreat(Frozen gate)

Northern Storm: should be changed for 2 reasons. It should be noted that this skill is the skill that is the most (fine?). What should change is the passive. People on my discord(warden class rep discord) have suggested making its slotted effect a passive or on the base. But i believe it should also be given an increase to all frost dps, for the reason of splitting permafrost away from it. So if you want to do dps, you go for northern storm, but if you want cc stun, go for permafrost.

Expansive Frost Cloak: is a wasted morph that literally no one uses. Reason being is because it has a limit to targets and it doesn't smart target. It also has no use being on a support because a warden tank can just use ice fortress to achieve the same effect, but to a greater extent with giving the caster minor protection. An idea people in this discord agree on is that this should be changed to an ice dps skill, that way dps who slot this will be less tanky(as they lose minor protection making them easier to kill). Something that does frost damage or acts like dk's Flames Of Oblivion can work. Dps would slot this skill and use it.

Arctic Wind Line: these skills have problems alright. with how incredibly boring they are. And i am not going to talk about the healing they do. But rather what should happen that has been agreed upon. Right now we have a major deficit of warden frost dps skills. What we want is to move arctic blast to base so polar wind can remain the tanking option. It still applies chilled to enemies and everything. Arctic blast, however, SHOULD be an ice DPS tool. My idea which people liked was to turn it into a skill shot that is a line traveling frost tornado aoe. Its very unique and would be very fun to use if it acted like the bow on grim focus) Whether or not it keeps the heal is up to debate.

Crystallized Slab: at the moment there is absolutely no reason at all to use this skill over shimmering shield. It does fuck all damage and its other morph gives fucking major heroism. When we took a vote, a majority of people suggested that the skill be reworked. Into a real damage shield? Into a straight Flames Of Oblivion type skill? I don't know. It hasn't been decided. But if this skill was reworked and made as good as shimmering shield, this would be beautiful. And would open up options for us wardens.

Frozen retreat: while this is a super fun skill, it makes little sense. The fact that this is an enemy and ally pull makes it very contradictory because allies will be tped into a field of enemies in pve which is where this is a major problem. However, we can keep this synergy though if we put it into a trap that can be used by people who like to dps, that way allies can be safer when they teleport. at the moment my discord has agreed that for a skill like this, we need to remove its pull at the very least.

At the moment, many people want an ice mage that does effective work not just in a group, but as an effective dps tool in general as it has been in past elder scrolls titles. So i have found a way to make it possible.

I hope you enjoyed this writup.

the game is great but donjon matchmaking is strait up broken ?

Posted: 04 Sep 2018 02:26 AM PDT

Im supprised im not seeing a lot being said about the state of complete inconsistency with the donjon finder ?

sometimes it fells instant sometimes it just does not work ? did the devs say anything about why the donjon finder sometimes seems to fall in a loop of failure ?

having to press F consistenly is such a bad mecanic ?? i mean i could understand long waiting times for a random donjon ( i guess ) but why make it that i have to press the key non stop for 30+ minutes for it to keep having someone decline ? im sure its just buggy at this point

any tips or tricks to make it work ? do we need to restart the game or queue or just keep trying ?

[Xbox] Anyone else having extreme combat lag in ESO the last 2 days?

Posted: 03 Sep 2018 04:24 PM PDT

Started experiencing issues Sept 2 in the evening and still having issues Sept 3. Enemies loading, skills not casting correctly, battle/skill sound is delayed by up to 2 or 3 seconds.

Blackrose Restoration Staff viability

Posted: 04 Sep 2018 01:49 AM PDT

  • Adds 2% healing done
  • Steadfast Ward applies major vitality to your target for 3 seconds, increasing healing taken on your target by 30%

Do you think this is going to be any good in PvE? I mean, I see the potential for it in PvP when combined with breath of life, but am still wondering the potential for this in PvE.

Question about purchasing eso <3

Posted: 04 Sep 2018 12:01 AM PDT

Alright guys, I think i'm finally ready to give this game a spin. I've only tried this game back when it was in beta and so effectively all i know about it is what ive seen in a few review videos.

There seem to be a few copies to choose from and tons of dlc. What is the best way going about this. I know there is tons of content but I'd probably be sticking to all the old stuff until i got through it all, they say after all ESO has great storylines. I feel like the safest, smartest approach is to limp in with whatever is the most cost effective, then after i play a bit i can get a feel as to whether id ever want to get all or some of the dlc and other content.

If anyone has played ALL of the ESO, and if you were to suggest a game plan to yourself if you were starting all over again fresh. What do you think the optimal way is to go about it? (As far as purchasing goes).

Essentially I need to figure out what i'm buying so i can then find the absolute best deal for that.

Anything I NEED to know?

Posted: 03 Sep 2018 07:58 AM PDT

Today will be the first day I step foot into The Elder Scrolls Online. I have played Oblivion and Skyrim extensively but I have a feeling this is a whole different beast.

Is there anything I NEED to know as I start my journey?

This is also my first post here, so hello brothers and sisters!
