Can we please increase Glimmer cap to 1,000,000 instead of 100,000? Posted: 06 Sep 2018 05:32 AM PDT There's so much costly stuff out there (5k glimmer stuff) now. 100,000 is too low it seems. [link] [comments]
Impossible for Xbox Players to Finish All Crucible Triumphs Posted: 06 Sep 2018 06:48 AM PDT One of the Crucible Triumphs requires kills will Trace Rifles of all elements. PS4 has the only Void Trace Rifle. How is that fair or okay. Edit 1: it is impossible for PC too. Edit 2: for those of you say it will only be a year, this limits players on xbox and PC from also getting emblems, and afaik the crucible title (might be wrong about the second one but I'm pretty sure) Edit 3: it appears to be an oversight IMO. Upon checking, I do not have a Triumph for Broodhold. So I can complete the Vanguard stuff. Edit 4: Was wrong about the title. It shouldn't prevent that from being obtained. It still will prevent an emblem however. [link] [comments]
Thanks for screwing over small clans in Forsaken Bungie! Posted: 06 Sep 2018 04:56 AM PDT Can we please revert the changes to how we earn clan XP !?! I know i sound bitter but there's only about 8 of us in our clan, there always has been, just a group of friends that play together. We have managed, with a lot of commitment, to alway achieve max clan rank and get the staff in every season so far. It's always been close, but we've always made it. Last season we got it in the penultimate week and we were hyped about it. It was great. But thats never going to happen again with the new clan XP system? Unless you have a massive clan, who by the looks of it so far love PVP then you don't stand a chance of reaching max rank this season. Sorry for moaning, pretty much the only thing I have to moan about with Forsaken so far. Great expansion apart from Clan XP. EDIT: This post has got some great responses and seems to be acting as a great LFG for clans as well as a good discussion thread. Keep it up Guardians, Thanks everyone, thought I'd get downvoted as it's only been a few days since release EDIT 2: Holy Crap! This got Gold, never thought in a million years that would happen, thank you guardian, whoever you are! [link] [comments]
Bungie, The Clan EXP Bounty Changes Are Not Well-Received. Posted: 06 Sep 2018 10:17 AM PDT Consider changing the system to allow for small clans, PVE players, and even large clans to better be able to contribute to their seasonal growth. Being forced into Crucible for the vast majority of clan bounties is not conducive for fair or well-received changes. In fact... why was the system even changed at all? Suggestion: either revert clan EXP back to being tied to activity participation or don't tie these bounties to specific game modes. We already have Lord Shaxx for PVP bounties and specific vendors for everything else, Hawthorne doesn't need to double-dip while further slowing clan progression. [link] [comments]
There should be a titan exotic that lets you recall your hammer like Thor Posted: 06 Sep 2018 06:37 AM PDT All I can think is how cool it would be to have something like that. Make it so you hold down the melee button to call it back! [link] [comments]
[Spoilers] All signs in Forsaken point to us eventually embracing the Darkness as our own. Posted: 06 Sep 2018 01:58 AM PDT From the start, Forsaken has shown a darker tone than Destiny 2, and even Destiny 1, has before. The death of Cayde-6 was more than a plot point, it was the catalyst needed to start our transformation, our fall. Eventually, I believe we will become rogue light users, like the Drifter, using light and dark in equal parts to obtain our goals. There's several signs that point to this throughout the story and lore, and I'll just be making a list and explanation of them below. The Vanguard's StrifeThe vanguard has, since the early days of the city, been a sign of unity and order. They protect, they solve issues, they never waver in the surety of their duties, until now. Cayde-6's death has set the Vanguard out of balance. Potential conflicts can, for the moment, no longer have a tiebreaker. This is evident immediately, when Ikora wishes to pursue justice (or vengeance) for Cayde's murder, while Zavala refuses to risk the city's safety by retaliating. While our Guardian acts as the mediator in this situation, they act in the name of the more rash and ruthless plan, taking neither vanguard's side and determining to set off on their own. A Ghost's AnguishThroughout the Forsaken campaign, Ghost continually reminds the Guardian that they must be sure that they are pursuing Uldren for the right reason: justice. Every time this topic is brought up, the Guardian makes no response. While this is lack of speech isn't unusual for D2, I believe it also represents a rift forming in the ideology of the Guardian and their Ghost. While Ghost believes Uldren must be brought to justice for Cayde's murder, the Guardian is angry, only breaking his silence on two occasions: one to announce his goal to bring the prince down, and one word of acceptance to the Spider, which moves him toward that goal. As the campaign progresses, Ghost sounds more and more melancholy and concerned, especially when he brings up the topic of morals regarding the pursuit of Uldren. Even right before they pull the trigger, Ghost implores his Guardian not to do it. That Uldren is down and out. That this isn't right. It's at this moment that the hero of the story always puts down his gun and spares the villain's life, showing virtue. The Guardian doesn't drop the gun, and Uldren is killed in cold blood. Reading the lore tab of the Thin Line energy hand cannon further illuminates Ghost's worries.
A Risky GambitThe Drifter is a mysterious figure, and all signs point to him being a former member of the Shadows of Yor. It's mentioned in the lore tab for Malfeasance that he and the other shadows forged the gun as a replacement for Thorn. Though his past is shrouded, one thing is incredibly clear. He has his own agenda. It's obvious from the secluded area he waits in and the nature of the activity that Gambit is not officially approved by the Vanguard, if it's even known about in detail. A particular bounty contains a quote from Zavala, stating that "some guardians are engaging in unsanctioned activities. I trust you have the city's best interest at heart". The last line could point to some strife between our Guardian and Zavala, on account of the former's recent choices. When we invade in Gambit, we are told that "this is how the Taken feel", along with other, darkness related quotes. Additionally, we fight each other to collect motes of darkness to selfishly obtain payment. The nail in the coffin, however, is that by completing all Gambit triumphs, one can earn the title of "Dredgen", a moniker that is not to be given out lightly. It is the namesake of fallen Guardians, such as Rezyl Azzir, better known as Dredgen Yor, along with the Shadows of Yor, whom Yor served as the inspiration for. The fact that we willingly accept this title says quite a lot. ConclusionSo there you have it. I think the shift to a darker narrative is just beginning for Destiny, and that in the future we may see our Guardian split completely from the Vanguard and his role as a pure hero. How this will manifest is anybody's guess, but I'm hoping it at least includes Darkness themed subclasses. As the prince says, "The line between light and dark is so very thin..do you know which side you're on?" Edit: I wrote this at 4am, so I completely forgot one of my main points. I'll summarize it real quick. The Dreaming City's theme seems to be duality. A key requiring light and dark in equal parts was needed to open it, and throughout the area you can see hints of its double nature. Namely in the Blind Well, which appears to power itself with a combo of light and dark. The room floods with dark whole bubbles of light appear as havens. The buff you get is from dark enemies with a light aura around them, and is known as "harmony", i.e: balance. [link] [comments]

Everything you need to know -- Forsaken leveling, progression, secrets, exotics, etc. Posted: 06 Sep 2018 07:14 AM PDT Hi all. I've put up a massive/user-friendly guide for pretty much everything concerning D2: Forsaken -- leveling, progression, secrets, exotics, Blind Well, even public events and daily/weekly milestones. I've added the stuff I've learned while playing. I'm currently 510+ on two characters and about to level my third. Also, I've included all the info provided by many Destiny players (properly credited of course so thanks to everyone). I'm planning to update it each day or whenever major info pops up. I hope the guide will be of some help. Best regards and happy exploring to all Guardians out there! -- Jason (from PC Invasion) Edit - Thank you for the gold whoever you may be. Hope the guide helps you out. [link] [comments]
Banshee-44 - Increase Gunsmith Materials consumed per click, please... Posted: 06 Sep 2018 04:40 AM PDT Bungie, you have increased the number of gunsmith materials required to acquire engram to 100 but somehow your team forgot to increase the amount of g.m. consumed per click. It requires 11* clicks to get one single engram and this is far to long process.
Edit: great to see that this is not only my opinion, thank you Edit 2: when I made this post I didn't check Reddit history, I was avoiding spoilers as I had two long work days (12h shifts), so sorry for the duplicated idea :) [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Sep 2018 07:04 AM PDT I kept doing public events, patrols, and story missions, and couldn't figure out why I wasn't earning clan XP. I looked more closely at Hawthorne's tooltip and realized, I have to complete bounties. With bounties earning 750 XP apiece, and only having three available a day, the max I will earn in a weekend (my usual, regular playtime) is 4,500. I will never earn enough to get the powerful engram from Hawthorne, unless I can find time to punch out a bounty during the week. Even more frustrating: this week, two of the bounties are PvP only, making them wholly dependent on the skill level of my competition, not just myself. Clan XP engrams are one of the few ways to increase power level once we hit the ceiling and can only increase from Powerful Gear engrams. I used to get up every Saturday morning and grind it out with a clanmate so I could maybe climb a point or two a week. Now, I guess I'm going to spend the weekend in Crucible alone, instead. I enjoy the Crucible, but these bounties now make it feel like work. Especially when I have to drastically alter the way I like to play in order to achieve the bounty. Let the bounties count toward some other reward, instead of Clan XP. Let us earn Clan XP the old-fashioned way: in any activity we enjoy. Edit: Once you hit level 50, this process appears to get a bit less restrictive thanks to weekly bounties (though it sounds like weekly bounties might be account-wide rather than per Guardian, so if that's the case, there are still some issues here). Thanks to everyone'a responses. There's another thread on this topic that has gained significant steam if you want a place to continue arguing your personal viewpoint! 😜 [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Sep 2018 01:49 AM PDT I think it adds a lot more flavor to the fight than the Ultra healthbars ever manage to do. Also add to strikes that contain final bosses (xol strike) etc. [link] [comments]
Why "Code of the Missile" should be the next Titan Subclass Node you unlock. Posted: 06 Sep 2018 05:12 AM PDT Message to all Titan's and aspiring Titan's. I have been using code of the missile for 2 days and have now sworn off guns forever. The melee hits like a truck and recharges your super very quickly. If paired with the "Insurmountable Skullfort" you basically just fly around the map smashing everything to dust. It is not rare to get about half your super back from annihilating a group of trash with your melee. It is honestly the most Titan i have ever felt as a Titan. TL;DR: Wear Insurmountable Skullfort, your melee becomes small super and super becomes big melee. [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Sep 2018 06:47 PM PDT Seriously, can I just pay some bright dust/silver and redo my appearance!!? [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Sep 2018 04:24 AM PDT Not sure if anyone noticed or it's just me but last year today destiny 2 came out 2 days early [link] [comments]
I love the new version of Banshee's vendor screen. Posted: 05 Sep 2018 11:29 PM PDT You did it Banshee. You finally finished cleaning that gun. It took you a whole year, but you did it. Also I just love the new vendor screen in general and it looks so much cooler than the old one for aesthetic reasons, but I'm mostly just proud for Banshee. [link] [comments]

There should be extremely rare enemies that drop tons of loot. Like “Loot Midgets” Posted: 06 Sep 2018 09:43 AM PDT I think it would be both awesome and humorous to see like a different version of normal enemies like dregs, vandals, and acolytes for example, appearing larger than normal (like chubbies from Borderlands) or maybe for the fallen, having like a big backpack of some sort on them. They would have a lot more health than normal, and obviously, drop a ton of loot with a better chance than normal for exotics. Although, they would roam around randomly without notice, unlike the "high priority targets" do. I think it would add a lot more pizzaz to patrols or strikes even. [link] [comments]
How could we go from this, to this? Posted: 05 Sep 2018 08:03 PM PDT
Please add the option to inspect a whole set of armour in the collections tab Posted: 05 Sep 2018 11:54 PM PDT Just let me hover over the name of the set on the right and press inspect to see the whole set equipped [link] [comments]
[SPOILER] Banshee's dialogue when collecting your new Ace of Spades hit you right in the feels. Posted: 06 Sep 2018 03:52 AM PDT Title. Just listening to him talk, and then you just hear him stop, look around, and then ask "Hey, you seen Cayde around recently?" His memory has gone again, even for the one guy he said he wouldn't forget. My heart broke. Edit: Damn, I didn't expect so many people to like this post, let alone have it go to the front page! Maybe we can make Banshee another bullet pendant with a picture of Cayde in it this Dawning Edit 2: Whats even worse is that once that quest is over, and Banshee forgets, he goes back to cleaning that damn gun again. It makes the pain even worse [link] [comments]
To My Teammates Who Keep Camping the Portal: Posted: 06 Sep 2018 09:51 AM PDT Let me tell you about an exciting new mode called Crucible. In the Crucible, all you do is fight other Guardians. There are no adds for you to ignore, no Taken ever spawn and make you leave your menu if you want to live. It's pure, Guardian-on-Guardian action and I think it's a really exciting addition to the game. [link] [comments]
(Spoiler) banshees tragic voice line. Posted: 06 Sep 2018 05:38 AM PDT As he is handing the ace of spades to you he asks " wait, where is cayde." His memory is so scattered from being reset so many times he has to relive finding out about caydes death over and over again. Little details like this make the world feel alive. [link] [comments]
Now that it’s Year 2 and bows are a thing can we get an exotic bow called the Longbow Synthesis? Posted: 06 Sep 2018 08:59 AM PDT The Longbow synthesis was one of the best snipers in D1, at least in my opinion, and now that bows are a thing I think it would a funny little thing for Bungie to do as a shout out to a great weapon from the first game. As for what it would do I'm not really sure maybe like trip mine arrows? [link] [comments]
Ace of spades is the first hand cannon D2 that actually feels like a D1 hc. Posted: 06 Sep 2018 12:36 AM PDT The range, the aim assist and just the sheer power behind the gun and all its perks. You can fucking map people with this thing. Im completely in love with it. Edit: in D2* [link] [comments] |
