Overall, I feel like Sagat's characterization is a little gone backward compared to SFIV. I still expect him to let people know that he's the motherfucking King but I was also expecting more wisdom and less arrogance after all the growing up he went through in IV and seemingly in V too (with the few background info about him being about him meditating in the mountains and stuff).

Also, why so mean to Cammy? He used to be encouraging to her in his SFIV victory quotes, and she was broken high tier even back then. :(

ICYMI: VODs for X-EST 2018 and 3rd MANIAX NATSU no JIN 2018, Annual JPN 3vs3 Tournaments for ST and 3S

X-EST 2018

The single biggest Super Street Fighter II Turbo team tournament in the world.

If you've seen or heard about Cooperation Cup - think of it as the same thing, except one is for Third Strike, and this one is for Super Turbo.

However, unlike CoopCup - X-EST is held in a 3vs3 format as opposed to 5vs5, and there's no Pre-X-EST tournament where players are locked into teams of same characters.

Nonetheless, the tournament was still really hype and went on for about 9 hours, and seeing that much of a high level ST action is a rarity, so I'd highly advise everybody to check out the VOD.

3rd MANIAX NATSU no JIN 2018

Pretty much same as above, just switch the game from Super Turbo to Third Strike.

Just like X-EST, the event is on a somewhat smaller scale compared to Cooperation Cup, but there was still plenty of very strong competition there, and just like the ST tourney the day before, 3rd MANIAX certainly delivered on some top level Third Strike action.

Cooperation Cup 2019

As was officially confirmed by Matsuda-san, Cooperation Cup, the biggest Street Fighter III: Third Strike tournament in the world, will be returning for its 17th installment next year, and will be held from January 5th through January 6th.

The event will be held inside the same venue as this year - the Asakubashi Hulic Hall

So now that you know the date and place - it's time to start planning your trip to Japan ;)

Both X-EST and 3rd MANIAX were held at the Akihabara eSports Square in Tokyo. This has become a rather popular venue for various fighting game competitions, and despite its size - it's still a pretty cool place, at least from the viewpoint of a stream monster. Multiple pre-EVO Japan matches were also held there back in late January. Also, the annual Hokuto no Ken team tournament is also being held there, you can probably still find the VOD for it on Gamenewton's Twitch page

The drunks and foods that were given out to various players over the course of the weekend were bought by the actual viewers. Anybody could just go to the Akihabara Square's website - https://e-sports-square.com/ - and order, say, a beer for their favourite player, as well as attach a comment to the order that would get read out by either one of the TOs or said player.

The website can be displayed in 10 different languages (one of them obviously being English), so you shouldn't have any trouble nagivating it.

USFIV still looks good

I started playing USFIV on the ps4 almost a month ago and it does not look bad at all! i know it has to do with its unique style but I don't have any problem at all. I think it still looks really good!

ps. bring back this Juri costume in SFV and let us remove that thing around her arms with the code! its amazing!
