This thread will serve as a megathread for the Esports Panel at the Six Major Paris.

Pilot Programm Skins & Charms:

Partnering with esports teams
Weapon skin & charm for each team
- Skins not universal
30% revenue share with the organization
First wave with Grim Sky

Regular Pro League sets:

21% revenue share with organizations, 9% revenue toward Invitational prize pool

Challenger League:

Making Challenger League similar to Pro League, 3 months duration
Winning awards 3 points, drawing 1 point, losing no points
Playoff at the end of the season
1st team automatically promoted, 2nd goes into relegation aginst Pro League 7th

Six Invitational 2019:

Taking place in Montreal, February 11th to 17th
Prize pool: $650,000 + rev share (likely headed towards $1,000,000+)
Qualification: Season 8 Pro League finalists, Winner Six Major Paris, Winner DreamHack Montreal, Winner DreamHack Winter, 5 teams from open qualifiers

On a monthly basis, there are new cosmetic bundles being added, and most of them are 25k - 45k renown.

On an average, you'd earn 250-300 renown per match(without booster) and it'd take around 100+ matches to buy one of these bundles. Even if you do the weekly challenges, it doesn't even make a dent.

Now I'm more than happy to pay R6 credits for these, but the elite skins only a bit higher and have more VFM.

Is no one being bothered by this? I always hoped that in game content would be discounted for some occasions, like these free weekends, or new season or steam sales, but so far it hasn't changed.

New details of Frost Elite and Seasonal Skins from my 2nd play session at the Six Major

So the Frost elite has shaved hair at the sides with thick braids at the top that are tied into smaller braids at the back. Her backpack has a set of snow shoes and an ice pick on it. She has brown leather gloves, and the jacket has fur trims with white/tan camo. She has a pair of bound inuit style snow boots. Her weapon skins fit the leather/wood theme and are called Huntress.

The biggest detail is her welcome mat which has the corners missing and instead of flat bars for the trap it now has big fuck off teeth that look very grisly. It also has a chain at the bottom and some bits of red paint. Very very nice looking, but definitely more noticeable.

The seasonal skins are:

Hereford base, styled a lot like the Spitfire Fighter plane, it's a military look but it's nice.

A police skin, GIGN/SAS blue with white battenberg checks and Police written in white, simple but my favourite.

A weird silver one with a red and white decal with some feather looking thing coming off it? It's hard to describe but the metal is very reflective and the pattern might appeal to some. It reminds me of Plus Ultra for the GEO weapons.

Last (I think, it may actually be a different muddy looking one but that might be CTU specific) is a red/yellow one with a little R6 badge. Pretty boring looking in all honesty and definitely the worst of the lot from an otherwise strong seasonal offering.
