Dear Bluberries, please focus capturing points first before trying to kill everything Posted: 18 Aug 2018 06:28 AM PDT Please guys. Go and cap points first instead of crying around "ugh iron banana sucks" n' Stuff You want to win all the times as we all want to, but we can't win without doing the objective Thanks. Posted: 18 Aug 2018 09:44 AM PDT https://imgur.com/gallery/Lhz3LTo Clash mercy doesnt activate until at least 70 points and control doesnt mercy until at least 105. This is miserable for teams on the receiving end of a mercy and just encourages players to leave out of games. Edit 1: It seems that quick play control and iron banner control rules mercy at different points. IB control rules starting at 90 while regular control is 105. [link] [comments] |
17,777 Uphorns and we will give out 7 Cayde's Last Stand Statues Posted: 17 Aug 2018 03:48 PM PDT We usually don't post actual threads here, but we will always post on Gjallarhorn Day. Thanks for continuing to be such an awesome community. The day Xûr sold Gjallarhorn(for the second time) and everyone went nuts, it was one of the most fun days I had as a community manager. It was great watching the whole community participating in the chaos, and we always look forward to seeing you all celebrate the anniversary. Leave a comment in this thread and if we hit 17,777 Uphorns before midnight Pacific, we will choose 7 of you at random to send a Cayde's Last Stand Statue. The winners will be contacted through private message on reddit and recieve their statues sometime in the next few months. Happy Gjallarhorn Day, and Happy Birthday /u/norsefenrir!!! All subclasses solo The Whisper (Heroic) on PS4 Posted: 18 Aug 2018 07:58 AM PDT I know the hype over the past few weeks for The Whisper has died down but I've become slightly addicted to running this mission solo trying to improve my best times. So here is a list of my current best times on every subclass! Arcstrider 7:36 remaining. Striker 5:38 remaining. Gunslinger 5:37 remaining. Dawnblade 5:13 remaining. Stormcaller 4:51 remaining. Sunbreaker 3:50 remaining. Sentinel 3:50 remaining. Voidwalker 3:40 remaining. Nightstalker 2:22 remaining. Had a lot of fun doing these runs, I don't expect people to watch all the videos but if you are having trouble running any subclass through I hope this helps to show how to play each encounter. I know there are a lot of improvements I can make on each subclass (especially Sunbreaker and Nightstalker) and I might post an update on my best times in the future. I've also made this post because I see comments on other videos of solo's that only PC players can pull off certain jumps and make plays in this mission, so I hope this shows it can be done on console as well with some potato plays, my favourite being in the first room of ads with Voidwalker! Posted: 18 Aug 2018 01:15 AM PDT [NOT A SHITPOST] Bungie for hell's sake, this was asked a million times over. For damn's sake all I want for my titan is smaller shoulders. Old D1 styles were fine. Warlocks got dresses, how about give them back their trench coats. Hunter cloaks suck majorly (fishtails? fr?), and the tights suck too. OLD D1 Style, please. I mean the least you can do is size down titan shoulders. cut the warlock robes from the lower back (like the nessus robes) and make hunter cloaks look better. Also, can we bring back cloth physics from d1? They were fine, why does every cloak and mark have to travel to the cosmodrome and back when I walk 1 cm forward. FFS smaller shoulder for titans and I'll STFU. Please Bungie. Edit: What I meant by scavenger hunter armor is referring to the D1 style of armor, no more. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Overall, point is: Bring back the overall feel and look of D1 especially with class armor. Check the D1 character selection screen for inspiration Edit: the overall scifi feel of D1 was also a major point. The new D2 is too bright. Thanks [link] [comments] |
I will pet my dog for every upvote on this post Posted: 17 Aug 2018 06:45 PM PDT This is bella https://i.imgur.com/uaR1KmY.jpg 11/10 she's a great girl. Edit: Whoops forgot to add up to 7777 because of Gjallarhorn Day Edit 2: I honestly thought this was gonna get like 10 upvotes and now it's at 1.8k. I don't know if I can pet her that much but I'll try. Video to come. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Aug 2018 10:11 AM PDT Never played a game with a community like this. LFG for help with the whisper mission. Find an American lad, invites me to his fireteam with another lad who wanted it, both these guys much bigger light than me. Wait around for about an hour, it finally happens, we go. Jump puzzle easily done in the end. Then, im getting nailed by the higher light taken. He reassures me everything will be fine. 2 mins left I'm worried, I die again and respawn way back, he tells me again there's loads of time. Then as I'm making my way back that beautiful sniper pops up on my screen. I go wild thank him call him a legend he's happy for me. Thank you "xAscendSlay" wherever you are. This community man...I love it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Aug 2018 12:47 AM PDT 5 valor resets isn't even that bad. Considering everything you have to do prior to that step, you'd probably be at around 3 resets already. The grind isn't that bad. As someone who grinded claymore, y'all can quit complaining. You don't have to win a single competitive game for this gun. This season the minimum was 100 wins, and that's assuming you win every game (which by the way you won't). Quit complaining. If you want the pinnacle crucible gun, then go play some crucible. Flawless "A Garden World" Prestige Nightfall done solo and using only one hand Posted: 18 Aug 2018 07:06 AM PDT Ah, to clarify, the person who did the run is u/IZEN_R not me. I made the post since he does not use reddit that much. I came up with this challenge in the current nightfall "A Garden World" because there aren't much ads to clear and that makes it a lot faster and safer to complete it using only one hand. However it is still challenging (at least for me, since this was te first time I tried to one hand something in an FPS). Actually there was nothing very hard to do, the difficult part was doing everything good to get a flawless run but that was mostly RNG: getting a good forest seed to avoid as many hobgoblins/sniper shanks as possible. In the nightfall ticket I set arc singe and heavy weight as modifiers. I decided to not use momentum because at the last minotaur it could make things much harder (without it you can play in a much safer way), but as a con you must be lucky enough to get a good forest seed, which was the main cause of wipes. My set up was: Primary - Nameless Midnight Energy - Manannan SR4
Exotic armor - Lunafaction Boots Subclass - Stormcaller with Attunement of the Elements and Empowering Rift It took a couple of hours in total to complete it flawless, after coming up with a good strategy. To avoid any problems with DPS I always tried to keep my rift for the mini-bosses in this strike (the minotaurs) because without it one rocket isn't enough to kill them, and since using one hand reduces a lot your mobility and precision I had to be sure I could get a one shot kill. For the first minotaur I just activated the rift under the shield block, destroyed it and then shot at the minotaur. The second one can't be done in the same way because after destroying the shield block he doesn't get shielded instantly, for that reason I decided to destroy the shield block, back up in a safer spot, place the rift a shoot him with the rocket launcher. The last one is actually the "hardest" one, my approach was to kill all the hobgoblins first, then push a bit forward to make the other ads spawn, back up, activate my super and kill as many enemies as I could. After clearing the place almost completely I destroyed the shield block and back up again to avoid the remaining ads shots, waited for the minotaur to follow me and did the rift/rocket thingy. After that just destroy the other shield block and rush it to the boss. For the bossfight you'll need at least 1 nade, the rift and 5 rockets (6 would be better): Just place yourself near the boss, activate the encounter, place the rift, wait a couple of seconds for the boss shield to go off and then throw your nade and start spamming all your rockets. If done correctly the boss will be dead before you get killed. This was a cool challenge to do, you can find the video here with both gameplay and handcam. The Claymore Grind Vs The New Grind Posted: 18 Aug 2018 10:38 AM PDT I think we need to be honest here, folks. Most people that obtained the Claymore did it before the matchmaking changes. The new grind that will be introduced in Forsaken will be on that same level. It was much...much...much easier to "earn" the Redrix before the matchmaking changes. Most ran on a team of 4 and dodged other 4 stacks. Be honest. It was more of a time commitment than a "I'm so good that I earned it" commitment. Yes, there will always be the elite pvp crowd who earns rewards without dropping more than one or two drops of sweat. That's not the case with most. Now...if you earned it after those changes, you truly earned it. I was at about 1500 before those changes...made virtually zero progress after. I ran with 1.5 comp players, and we still lost more than we won. There just isn't enough of a diverse crowd playing to make progress. A team of four arcstriding Hunters with wormhusk and GL pretty much every match. I don't mind this new way of earning the new Claymore. I wouldn't mind them having some kind of win/skill requirements (just a few sprinkles)....but those complaining the most about this being "unfair"....most of you have less than a 1.1 kd anyway. Be happy you earned the weapon when it was easy to snag. Be humble about it. Or don't brag you paid for it in the first place. [link] [comments] |

Question to the Devs: Why are Year One Armor Sets Being Left Behind? Possible Solution Posted: 18 Aug 2018 11:38 AM PDT So, from what I understand, Year One armor sets are going to be infusable at least in season 4. However, Year One armor will not have mod slots for Year 2 mods. But why? In D1, Year One armor was left behind when Taken King came out. I accepted this due to the massive changes in how armor worked (i.e. No more tedious armor progression, introduction of the infusion system, new simple way of leveling gear). But now, I feel that leaving Year One armor behind in Forsaken is unjustified. Surely it would be easily within reach for the devs to have armor be converted to Year Two format and retrieved from your collections, right? Is it because that it would be unbalanced against new players? Do you think that D2 veterans would have too much of a headstart with a stockpile of legendary gear? This is the only viable reason I could think of. If that's the case, then I say to give Year One armor the Etheric Light treatment from the House of Wolves DLC. Essentially, have an item/material that guardians can collect or buy from an activity/vendor that can be applied to old armor to update it to a Year 2 version with random perks. If you want to set the playing field so that everyone has equal grind from the start of Forsaken, then add the [Etheric Light equivalent] as an endgame material, so that veterans like me can still wear our old armor without feeling like we're crippling ourselves. I really don't want my Season 2 Iron Banner gear (best looking armor set imo) to become nonviable. Not because of stats or the mods currently on it, but because it is honestly a really good looking set. Same goes for the Solstice Armor. TLDR; If Bungie is worried that D2 veterans would have an unfair advantage with a stockpile of updated Legendary gear, then the devs should add an endgame item/material that would upgrade gear similar to Etheric Light from the House of Wolves DLC in D1. Everyone gets the same grind. Veterans get to keep their threads. Everyone wins. [link] [comments] |
Not Destiny 2 Lore - AI Learning, Autocomplete-Generated Destiny Lore Posted: 18 Aug 2018 08:02 AM PDT You might know how this goes by now. I run some Destiny related text into the Botnik predictive writer, which can generate sentences in an autocomplete fashion based on what you feed it. This time I fed it the vast majority of the current Destiny 2 lore tabs and this is what I came up with. I also used some good old fashioned role playing dice to determine the kind of gear that some of this lore belonged to. Sudden Sister -Exotic Titan Helmet Lore:
Cephalopod Justice - Exotic Warlock Gauntlets Lore:
Skyburner's Red-Blue Show - Exotic Sword Lore:
Bounty Contingency - Exotic Hunter Chest Lore:
Maxim to Vacate - Exotic Sniper Rifle Lore:

Posted: 18 Aug 2018 09:20 AM PDT So I just saw a tweet officially saying Y1 armor will lose their mods AND be unable to take Y2 mods. .. So Y1 armor becomes useless? If that's the case, what the hell was the point of the solstice grind? I can't imagine many people will be happy the vast majority of items will be obsolete in comparison to Y2 items. I know I won't be, and is genuinely making me question whether to invest in Forsaken if they're willing to throw an entire year's worth of item content under the bus. Talk about a (potential) waste of time! Edit: post amended with tweet [link] [comments] |
