Posted: 14 Aug 2018 09:13 AM PDT 10 stardust is literally nothing, but it's a nice incentive to drop lures in public spots for others to use. Even if this was only used during community day it would be neat. Thoughts? Edit: Perhaps a community day specific lure available in a box, or just use regular lures? What about if they implemented a stardust earning cap with the lures avoid people taking advantage? [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Aug 2018 05:27 PM PDT http://imgur.com/gallery/CguYqky My first ever shiny that I encountered a week ago... and I used my last ball to catch an Alakazam. I rushed around the corner and spun a stop for some balls and went back and gladly he was still there. [link] [comments]
I Stopped Doing Mass Evolves, and I Feel Liberated Posted: 14 Aug 2018 03:45 PM PDT I think we've all been there: spending 30-60 minutes with a lucky egg on frantically evolving as many pidgies as you can before the timer expires, min/maxing your experience gain. It's grueling. One might even say painful. It's not fun or engaging in any way. You save all of your trash Pokémon until your Pokémon storage is exploding with pidgies and whismurs, and find a 'good' time/place to waste 30minutes of your day tapping evolve. However it was frankly the only reliable way to get large bursts of exp (upwards of 85k or so, or 42.5k bonus exp) and the overall best use of a Lucky Egg. But wait, now there's friendship, sweet sweet friendship. Great friends give you 10k exp: cool, it's as much as a L5 raid! Ultra friends: holy moly, 50k exp for doing almost nothing?? With a lucky egg that's 100k (50k bonus) per friend! And you can even do multiple friends in one lucky egg! Now, you can hit Ultra Friends with just 1 friend and gain more exp than an entire 30 minutes straight of actively evolving Pokémon. Wow. To me, this is an absolute lifesaver (not to mention my sanity). I will never do another mass evolve again, it's just not worth it. Sure, you can mass evolve and hit friendship levels at the same time, but I can't justify the time anymore. I will evolve and transfer Pokémon as I catch them from now on. If I happen to have a few random evolvable Pokémon at the top of my bags while a lucky egg is active, sure I'll evolve them, but not 50+ Pokémon at once. Never again. [link] [comments]
[Idea] Niantic should add fishing to Pokemon Go Posted: 14 Aug 2018 10:36 AM PDT This past community day I met up with a different group of friends to walk around and hunt those precious Eevees. Meeting at a new location for me caused me to realize how valuable fishing was in the core series games since we had been circling around a pond every now and then. I think it would be interesting for Niantic to either add a fishing rod item that you would be able to use by a body of water (lake, pond, river, ocean, whatever) that is recognized in the game along with a new berry specifically for bait, or add a bobber item that you drop in the water nearby your player. The bobber could be a multi-use item like incubators. Only dropping in usage after you've caught a water residing Pokemon and purchasable from the store for coins. I feel that an infinite use bobber is unnecessary due to the fact that water residing and types still spawn naturally in the wild. As for the fishing rod, some ideas that ran through my head are those such as a durability level, use count, accuracy, bait, lure?, But I want to hear what everyone else has to say about this. What are your thoughts? [link] [comments]

I caught a shiny Houndour while watching TV Posted: 14 Aug 2018 01:59 PM PDT So i was laying on the couch in my living room watching TV as I opened Pokémon go to see if there's anything good on the nearby list, two Houndour spawned on me and one disappeared so I caught the first one because I'm searching for a good iv's one, then i waited to see if the second one will reappear, about 10 seconds later it did, I pressed on it and saw that! I gasped out loud and shouted calling my brother to come see it. I was so excited to just randomly see it like that, after all this searching outside for a shiny one that's when I get it laying on the couch watching TV. [link] [comments]
GF and I caught the same 100% Gastly's on our way home from work but.. Posted: 14 Aug 2018 08:21 PM PDT Upon further inspection.. What do we do with these?? Also, is it Gastlies*? [link] [comments]
When your CP is too perfect, you need to adapt. And so I present the embodiment of patriotism. Posted: 14 Aug 2018 12:20 PM PDT https://imgur.com/gallery/3g2OhUq While leveling my lucky Flareon his CP reached a level that showed he was ready for independence, and I couldn't train him anymore. And so Flamerica stands firm as a physical declaration of Eeveedependance. [link] [comments]
My first Eevee encounter post Community Day was shiny! Posted: 14 Aug 2018 04:44 PM PDT Saw an Eevee spawn and clicked on it as a joke, as if I need any more candy, and lo and behold...caught a shiny lil pupper that doesn't know the exclusive move! And he was boosted, so he got pretty decent IVs! Got a lucky Snorlax right before this guy, so I think I had quite the lucky streak. [link] [comments]
Different appearance of lures used by friends Posted: 14 Aug 2018 07:06 AM PDT Was thinking that it might be a cool way to stage impromptu meetups, and get friends together, if lure modules used by a trainer on your friend list had a different appearance (such as an alternative colour) in the overworld. By using a lure, you're basically agreeing to disclose your location anyway - as it shows your username to everybody - and it would just make it easier for those in your 'trusted circle' to spot it and join in! Why did Pokemon Go put the Gen 4 starters in their anniversary tweet? Posted: 14 Aug 2018 10:23 AM PDT It has now been over a month since Pokemon Go teased us with their anniversary tweet that featured the Gen 4 starters. It seems like there hasn't been any information regarding Gen 4 since then which makes me wonder why did they sneak the starters into that tweet? If it was just to confuse me then they succeeded. WARNING: SAVE SOME SHINY EEVEES FOR GEN 4 Posted: 14 Aug 2018 08:33 AM PDT Idk if anyone has already talked about this but I was reading some posts about what Pokémon will still be good during gen 4 when I realized that there are still 2 Eeveelutions that have not been released; Leafeon and Glacion. Friendly reminder that you should save some of your shiny Eevee for when it's next evolutions come. Gl everyone. Edit: I forgot to mention although it may be far away Sylvion the fairy evolution will be coming in gen 6 as well. [link] [comments]
I know we just had the CD event... Posted: 13 Aug 2018 09:44 PM PDT ... but I just caught my first full odds shiny Eevee! I managed to snag a few over the weekend, but I couldn't believe my luck when I tapped on this lone eevee and it was shiny! EDIT: Here's the picture of the date for those asking!! All Alolan Gym Battle was a blast! Posted: 14 Aug 2018 09:08 PM PDT Just got my first alolan marowak today and decided to have some fun. I absolutely love all the animations niantic put into these special pokemon. Especially cubone and golem. Put on some reggae music for effect and couldn't stop smiling. There is something to be found in this game outside of the dps hunting meta... [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Aug 2018 12:41 PM PDT The friends list in its current state is incredibly laggy, slow, and unintuitive. First of all, if you scroll down far and click on a friend to send them a gift, then go back to your friends list, it will take you back to the top automatically, forcing you to scroll down again. This makes it a huge hassle to try to remove friends that have names starting with letters like 'Z'. A solution could be to stop automatically scrolling back to the top. Also, I think that a mass selecting of friends would be incredibly beneficial. You would be able to select a bunch of people on your list at once (like the mass transfering you can do with Pokemon) and then remove them. Finally, I think some sort of "favorites" thing should be put in. Similarly to how you can star/favorite a Pokemon, you should be able to star/favorite a friend so that you cannot remove them, and so you can sort by favorite and see your starred friends come up. This would be useful because, for example, when gifting your irl friends, you could easily find them by starring them and sorting by starred. As of right now, my solution to finding my irl friends in my list is setting their nickname to "aaa" and sorting by nickname. Anyways, these are just some quality of life changes I would like to see in the friends list based on my experience. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Aug 2018 09:52 AM PDT Personalized Gifts would drop from pokestops like normal gifts, however they would be empty and must be filled before being sent to someone. They do not take up the current maximum number of gifts you can hold instead they have their own maximum and appear as different items in your bag. You would be able to fill a personalized gift with up to 5 items of your choice You would only be able to send personalized gifts to friends who you are Great Friends with or above. You would only be able to send 1 personalized gift to each friend each week. Edit: Limited to items already available in Gifts and from Pokestops. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Aug 2018 03:37 AM PDT So I finally got enough candy to evolve a Magikarp, I do so, and the next day I catch the 10th ghost type for the field research missions, and one of the new ones that pop up asks for evolving a Magikarp. Can I do something in order to get 400 candies again that's a bit faster or will they add something that detects if you have already done that or change the mission evolving any 400 candy pokemon? Have healing items from pokestops been reduced? Posted: 14 Aug 2018 06:14 AM PDT I seem to be getting less healing items from pokestops in the last two weeks than ever before. I used to be up to my neck in hyper potions but now i would be lucky to get one from 5 stops. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just unlucky with my stops? [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Aug 2018 11:27 PM PDT Often times I am extremely busy and can only get on around 7. Would it really be harmful to extend raid hours or something along the lines like that ? [link] [comments] |
