Besiege Contest #91: Tyres! |
Posted: 13 Aug 2018 11:07 PM PDT This week, we're making Tyres! Each tyre must be under 50 blocks, max diameter 9 blocks, and be easily mounted to a car. Most realistic, best performing tyre wins! Your submission is due 8/19 and must contain a download link (workshop is best) and picture link (if not workshop), one comment per submission. I will give a random Steam code to the winner. Good luck! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Aug 2018 07:28 PM PDT I've started playing this game again after awhile of not playing it, and I love the changes that have been made. My only major complaint with the game is the same as it was when I played it before—the shadows suck. I think they've gotten a little higher in resolution since the last time I played (adjustable in the options menu), but they're still incredibly pixelated compared to the rest of the game, which has really nice textures and feels very crisp. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way that I might have missed to get them more crisp, or if there are any plans to make them better, or if it's just not possible in the game's engine for whatever reason. Consumed King Achievement Issue Posted: 14 Aug 2018 07:26 PM PDT Let me start by saying that I'm still a bit new to this game. After a lot of testing and retesting, I finally beat Consumed King with a machine made up of only blocks, small wheels, and braces. However, I did not receive the achievement (Who Needs Gears Anyway? - Beat the Consumed King without using mechanical blocks). Am I missing something? Do wheels count as mechanical blocks? Posted: 14 Aug 2018 07:31 AM PDT If any developer type folks are looking for ideas for mods to make, I have a few ideas and anyone else can post theirs here: Hotkeys for translation/rotation/block selection modes - If you've used TGYDs Building Tools, you most likely were used to hitting Q, W, E to change the selection mode you're in. I find it very odd the newer multiverse version has no hotkeys for this and I think they would be a huge QOL improvement. I believe the game even has hotkeys for these in the level editor (1,2,3 for trans, rot, mirror) so I would think it should be an easy task for someone who can code, but I don't know for sure. Change block on cursor by block ID - This is really only to be able to place block ID 52, which is the propellor with the connection point on the end for myself, but surely others might find the whole ID list useful to have.
