| Posted: 07 Aug 2018 10:13 AM PDT I cannot count for you the times a GPS blip or error resulted in me waiting upwards of two minutes for spawns to reappear, or changing focus back to the game after a while takes several minutes for the game to unload the old spawn information and reload the new information even with excellent cell connectivity. This is on a recent high-end phone (2017). Resetting the game takes about 30 seconds on my phone, but is still faster than trying to natively update the game's state. This shouldn't begin to be an issue for any game on any platform! All the other bugs and nags can wait, in my book. Basic performance is priority one. | [Story] I caught my first shiny today! Posted: 07 Aug 2018 05:58 PM PDT I'm so happy! I've been hunting for a shiny Swablu and I got lucky today. Really, all of the credit goes to my brother. I was driving and gave him my phone to hit stops for me. He knows how much I wanted a shiny Swablu. Right as we pulled up on a Kirlia raid, he handed me my phone back with that sucker. I wasn't taking any chances, even though it was a low CP, I golden razzed it and threw a great ball, fucking got em. Earlier, we saw an Absol raid. We had tried and failed to do it just us in the past, but today we got lucky and pulled up on 8 other trainers in the lobby! Which is a shame because I was looking forward to these two being possibly introduced into the game this weekend. Update 0.111.4 showed no sign of Glaceon, Leafeon or Gen IV and Last Resort (Eevee EX Community Day move) added. | Pokémon GO Plus is STILL shagged. Posted: 07 Aug 2018 03:16 AM PDT Niantic, what's wrong with the Pokémon GO Plus and Android handsets?
It's been months. With every game update as-of-late there's a high chance the Pokémon GO plus will break, and what's more frustrating is that we can't even revert app versions due to forced updates. I don't think mine has worked consistently since around version 0.91. (v101 also worked excellently, but after that things went very south.)
I've never had so much difficulty connecting a simple Bluetooth device; I think I've spent at least 6 hours of my life trying various things to fix it. It's not fair to continue to retail a device for £35 which regularly breaks.
Handset: HTC 10 OS: Android 7.0
Here's the stuff people are going to suggest but I've found that none of this actually works; the device seems to work sporadically/whenever it feels like it.
• Restarting your phone. • Force-unpair the Pokémon GO plus and then re-connect it. • Using third-party PoGO Plus scripts to help it connect. • Clearing app cache/bluetooth cache. • Reinstalling Pokémon GO.

| Posted: 07 Aug 2018 09:00 PM PDT I wrote down Pokemon spawns for several of my incense uses, and I get things like Jigglypuff, Rattata, Hoothoot, Weedle, etc. Just the regular ol' useless trash Pokemon that normally spawn around here. The incense seems to add one spawn every 5 min or so, so you only get 6 additional trash Pokemon in the 30 minute time period. So useless. We trade every now and then, and I've had some good trades before but nothing comes close to this. Level 1 100% Lucky Alolan Meowth Both Pokémon caught within the last month - the Meowth was hatched 21st of July, and the Meowth I sent was hatched 13th July. | Posted: 06 Aug 2018 04:13 PM PDT On Saturday a group of us decided to go to the local water park because it was an absolute heat wave. I bought us these cheap $5 clear phone pouches from Walmart so we could skip out on getting lockers. The reviews were great and they all said it was fully submersible. I tested it out at home in the sink and the reviews were true! Nobody else in my group that day plays Pokémon so it wasn't on my brain really. A few loops into the lazy river, an idea popped into my mind. LAZY EGG HATCHING. The current was slow enough that it absolutely counted towards my distance. I was able to blow through so many gifted eggs that I'd been hoarding in my friends list. The river curved around a gym long enough for me to beat the lone Pokémon inside and replace with my own. And the path went past a pokestop! Plus an area near the entrance was spawning sunkerns all day so I was able to get a brand new sunflora! Overall a super successful play day that I didn't expect. Don't worry, I wasn't on my phone the entire time! Power save mode was my savior and I had a blast with my friends. The boomerang slide scared me out of my mind and the wave pool kicked my ass. ;) Edit: By the way if anyone is wondering the brand of the waterproof pouch, this is it! There was one other brand there at the same price that had two white snaps on it instead of the spin locks and all the reviews said they did NOT work. But mine went fully underwater every time I jumped out of my tube and the entire time I was in the wave pool. No leaks. They weren't hanging with the phone cases in the middle of the isle but they were hanging on both ends of almost every tech isle. | [Question][Complaint] Need help with account but Niantic support won't help Posted: 07 Aug 2018 09:11 PM PDT Hey folks, long time lurker first time poster. Recently I was the victim of fraud, on June 27th someone hacked into my Google account and started making purchases on a bunch of games, Pokemon Go included. I contacted Google first and they helped refund everything, because I was getting receipts to my phone the charges never hit my credit card, thankfully. After that I started hitting up support teams for the games I played to fix my accounts (some purchases happened in games I don't play so I didn't care to reach out to fix my account). They were all super helpful in either restoring what I had previously or fixing up negative currency from purchases that never went through because of the fraud, but receipt validation determined the receipt was refunded so it removed the currency. All of them were helpful (even EA) except for Niantic. I have placed 3 different tickets all resulting in the same thing - they tell me it's my fault my account was hacked, they say I bought premium items like incubators and then when the coins were removed my account went negative. Here's the thing - the only incubators I've had recently were from completing the Mew quest line. All in all, I was just trying to get my balance at least reset to 0 just so I could accrue my coins again and actually make purchases when I go on raiding sprees. Ever since June 27th I've been fighting a losing battle with Niantic support who copies and pastes the same sentiment every time blaming me for the problem, and when I ask for a supervisor they stop answering my tickets all together. Has anyone had any luck with Niantic support through any other means? Note: My PokeCoin balance is current -13000, and with the daily 50 defender bonus it'd take me about 200 days to get into positive numbers again.
