Movistar Riders toplaner Xyraz diagnosed with stomach cancer Posted: 30 Aug 2018 07:31 AM PDT Movistar Riders toplaner Xyraz, who wasn't able to play against MAD Lions during the LVP semifinals due to health issues has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. The swedish toplaner has been part of the league community and pro-scene for a while now, he has been part of teams like lemondogs and H2K and also played in the turkish league. Last split he was part of the LVP top team Movistar Riders who was at the last EU Masters. This is some really sad news and I hope everyone will wish him the best. Callux Squad icon: https://woobox.com/ky2yde Der Heider Squad icon: https://woobox.com/eqwk74 Mini Ladd Squad icon: https://woobox.com/jbrkbq Arazhul Squad icon:https://woobox.com/dcuss8 xFaRgAnx Squad icon: https://woobox.com/3dg3mc Willyrex Squad icon: https://woobox.com/az7x3k Mates Squad icon: https://woobox.com/v5soys <- This one appears to be timed out, but I will leave it here in case it starts working again in the future. I just checked them all and they all work except the Mates one (at least in EUW and NA). I don't even know half of these youtubers but hey, free stuff! Enjoy! Mods, I searched around the subreddit to check if these where uploaded here and found nothing. If that's not the case, feel free to take this down mercilessly :) I will edit the post if someone confirms they work in other regions too. Enjoy! Edit: Use this link to check the icons, some are pretty cool: Proof!. I know they aren't very famous and I too would have preferred if they did them for LOL personalities, this was part of a PR move by Riot to appeal audiences from other games. Edit 2: Confirmed to all work in NA and LAS too, except Mates. Mini Ladd and Callux work in BR, others don't. Garena and TR players can get Faragan, Callux and Mini Ladd. Thanks u/lhanzz, u/gatitou and u/ghostgnome. [link] [comments]

New HP record in just 60 minutes! Posted: 30 Aug 2018 05:58 AM PDT After Riot fixed some of the Practice Tool bugs and buffed how much HP Sion gets from his W, I decided to try and reach as much HP as I possibly can. The previous record was held by u/Caenen_, he is also the guy that inspired me to beat the record. For anyone that is going to In short 60 minutes I reached 1.026.499 HP, 124551 of it was from W alone. My Overgrowth gave me 880.968 HP, which was 604.2% - Props to Riot at this one, because usually Practice Tool crashed at around 300%. Graph of Max HP per Minute for anyone wonder how fast it starts scaling up. Graph of diffrence of W and Overgrowth, as you can see, Overgrowth is the real MVP here. Full screenshot of the game, for people that wanted to see the black HP bar For anyone wondering about runes/build, I went with Lethal Tempo, Triumph, Alacrity, Coup de Grace, Demolish and Overgrowth. Some of you might be wondering why Lethal Tempo over Grasp and the reason is, Lethal Tempo makes you clear the camp way faster while Grasp only gives you 4,5k HP in a best case scenario. For the build Cinderhulk is also pretty much obvious while other items are there just so I can clear the camp as fast as possible. FUN FACTS: - I reached half my max HP at roughly 44 minutes into the game - HP Bar turns black at 50k HP+ - I had enough HP to create a shield massive enough to survive Urgot and Pyke ult - Titanic Hydra Passive would do 10270 damage to the guy you auto attack and aditional 25702 with the cone - Titanic Hydra Active would do 102690 damage - Each ZZ'Rot minion would do 153995 damage to towers and inhibitors - Demolish would do 308125 damage to towers - Demolish and ZZ'Rot minions would one shot the towers even through the protection Special thanks for u/Caenen_ and u/Indragul for doing math! edit 1: You still need a shield to survive Urgot/Pyke ult edit 2: Fixed some typos edit 3: Added a full screenshot of the game [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Aug 2018 07:00 AM PDT There is actually a lot of players in the Middle East and North of Africa, we speak one language , and we have so many players half of us in euw and the others eune, we should be in one server or two like Europe. We should have a chance to get pro and have a chance to play in worlds. I guess there is so many would agree with this step. [link] [comments]
Stop being rude to new players. The toxicity is so bad in lower levels. Posted: 29 Aug 2018 06:31 PM PDT The past few nights I've been ashamed of our community and the treatment of new players just coming into the PvP game modes. Buddy of mine is new to the game but to the point that bots are boring to play against for him. So we move over to some blind pick at the end of the nights for a last game scenario. Every single game not only was the enemy team mocking him but our fellow teammates as well. The bot games he was having decent fun in turned into rage and anguish as he yells in discord things like: "I know I suck just leave me alone, I'm fucking learning! Stop pinging me!" You guys gotta realize, amongst your little Smurf accounts is actual new players. We even let the lobby know in champ select that he was new and being weaned into PvP as a courtesy. Yet the insults of "just uninstall the game", "are you retarded?" and "fucking noob, go back to your other games" keep flying. Do you know how hard it is to keep teaching over voice comms when you guys are berating someone and causing them not be able to focus? Do you realize that for a brand new player there's a lot to keep track of and focus on? Do you know how hard it is to have to sit there and tell somebody to try to ignore the toxicity? We can all agree that the jump from intermediate bots to PvP is a big hurdle but we've all done it and we all did terrible at the start. This shit has got to stop. I don't care if you're levelling up an alt account. Instead of being cunts offer advice, help, and be courteous of the fact that they may not play the best. They are learning a very complex game. A game that most of us (read: all of us) are still learning to this day over the course of many years. Edit: Thanks for adding to the discussion team! The point of this post isn't complaining about being matched up with Smurfs, it's the way new players are being treated. We all want this game to continue going and the best way to ensure that is by introducing new players that have an interest in the game. We can be the change that we want/need to see. Kalista Tip - You don't have to keep attack clicking Posted: 30 Aug 2018 12:52 AM PDT The way Kalista's autos work is that she can't cancel them, and if you issue a move command, she lunges. This lunge does not cancel her attack order, meaning that you do not have to click the target again for Kalista to auto attack it. Meaning, you do not have to re-click the target to auto them. Instead of Attack > Move > Attack > Move, you simply time your move commands with your attacks so that you lunge with them (Move > Move > Move). If you click too soon, you'll just start moving normally. Edit - https://plays.tv/video/5b281d36ea86763067/-kalista2?from=user commented by u/Black-_-Wing [link] [comments]
What’s something you actually enjoy about the game? Posted: 30 Aug 2018 08:21 AM PDT A bit dumb but I get depressed reading this subreddit sometimes so let see if we can at least get some positivity going. What's something that you like about the game right now? Maybe something in a recent patch or something you've always enjoyed. Anything really. [link] [comments]

EU-LCS Semifinals in sight and still no clue about EU-teams? Get up to date here! Posted: 30 Aug 2018 07:44 AM PDT Semifinals are around and every EU LCS fan is hyped. Here is a short overview for the match ups that are coming this Weekend. If you missed the first Episode about the Quarterfinals, you can find it here The first Semifinal this week will be Schalke04 vs Vitality at Friday (18:00 Berlin) (16:00 UTC). Since Schalke was already introduced before I won't introduce them again. Instead I'm going to highlight how they won the Quaterfinal instead. Schalke04 vs Splyce (3-2) (Highlights) Schalke04 and Splyce both played it relatively slow. In the series we saw the return of toplane tanks like Maokai, Sion and as expected some Poppy. The first game set up the pace of the series, where Splyce was able to get ahead in the midlane and secured 3 infernal dragons with that lead. But Schalke slowly got back into the game, and when it looked like a final fight at the infernal Drake will decide the game, Schalke followed Nukeducks call, used 2 Teleports and a Ryze Realm Warp to bring a minion wave to the nexus turrets and stole the win. Despite that first loss, Splyce was able to get back on track (with a Vayne pick in game 2) and could punish individual mistakes from Schalke to take the next 2 games. This didn't stop Schalke to find the picks that worked for them (for example Kai'sa bot) and to focus more on their strengths. They managed to turn it around and take their ticket to the semifinal. One player to highlight from this series was Vizicsacsi the toplaner of Schalke04. His Maokay was quite strong in the laning phase and he did hold his own against the enemy Gnarr (he nearly killed him 1vs1 at one point). His performance on Poppy was crucial for latter fights and he was able to stop multiple engages on him with well timed ultimates. He also did set up some great ganks and picks throughout the series. Vitality (12-6 // 14-6) The players from Vitality managed to break into the LCS for the spring split this year as Giants. The 3 Rookies (Jizuke mid, Atila bot, Jactroll sup) and the jungler Gilius were promptly bought by team Vitality and together with Cabo, they came in huge in the spring split. They started 7-0 and one standout performance was a 1vs2 double kill from Jizuke against sOAZ and Caps from FNC. Strong early game plays into great snowballs were their recipe of success. But after their first few losses the team couldn't keep up the high tempo. A few stolen barons and games were they couldn't get ahead later they ended up on the 4th place (and barely missed RR). In the summer split it looked like we would see a repeat of that story but then Vitality made a swap for the jungle position in the middle of the split and it was amazing... no it was Kikis. Since then they were able to go 9-1 and even their tiebreakers against Schalke and G2 were convincing wins. Their drafts are exciting (shout out to their cool coach Yamatocannon), every player is willing to carry and the emotions are high. Even their macro didn't look as "brute forcing" as it used to be. It was love at first sight. Kikis came in, saw and won. Aggressive counterjungling in one game to 3 ganks back to back from bot to top impressed not only Vitality fans. This player wants to push his limits and everyone of the team is on the same page to follow him. But playing super aggressive can also backfire. Schalke was the only team that managed to win against Kikis on stage and we still have one final question: Can this emotional high backfire if things don't go well? predictions: Vitality is favoured. They are currently riding that win wave and they did beat Schalke04 convincingly in the tiebreaker match. Expect early game focused drafts, aggressive plays and calls from VIT, while Schalke will put their main emphases on stalling out and counter their aggression. If Schalke is able to weather the storm, they might turn it completely around late in the game or even late in the series against this emotional lineup. If VIT wins expect some great body checks from Jizuke for his teammates. And now we can finally look at our last Semifinal Misfits vs Fnatic on Saturday at 17:00 (Berlin) (UTC 15:00). MSF were able to punch down G2 in a convincing 3-0 victory (Highlights). Alphari ate, Hans Sama spun, Maxlore came. They're done with learning vocabularies and the book is thrown out the window. They've played completely towards their strength. Early game drafts with picks like predator Gragas or Poppy in the jungle and Kalista or Draven as ADC made for entertaining games and they knew how to get ahead. While the end of game 3 wasn't that clean they still had an impressive series and they are looking forward to bring down FNC. While Hans Sama won MVP of the series, the player to highlight should in my opinion be Alphari. He was on tank duty, but that didn't left him without kill pressure. In game 1 he managed to solokill Wunder twice as Cho'gath and he showed absolute prowess on that champ even latter on with a great catch against the enemy Ryze. His Mundo was also able to tank up long enough for his team to group up in a desperate engage from G2 in game 3. Fnatic 13-5 And here comes the only S team in Europeranking from Bwipo and Broxah, the current defender of the LCS title and first place finisher of the regular season. Compared to other EU teams, they do it the best and do it with style. Caps is considered the best midlaner in EU and the MVP favoured. Rekkles was the MVP last split and many consider him the best ADC in EU. Even their other rolls have a fan base for them and are way above average. Their unique summer split also needs a highlight. After they struggled early in the split with adapting to the meta, Rekkles the star ADC benched himself for their top/sub Bwipo. This changed the dynamic of the team completely from a controlled mid to lategame focus, into a early game all in team. Plays happened all over the map, solo or 2vs2 kills left and right, 1vs2 outplays and a high game tempo became the norm for FNC games. They also started to play around their midlane heavily with multiple 3 man ganks because Broxah cared for him and Hylissang was freed from the botlane. Even with Rekkles back on the team, it looks like this is the way they want to play now. Their last few games with him in the team didn't look as aggressive and convincing as before so the last unknown factor is how Rekkles can adapt to this new style of FNC. One player to highlight should be Caps, but I'm pretty sure you heard his name before and saw some Yasou/Irelia or Zoe montages from him, therefor I want to introduce you Bwipo and his special roll for the team. He came in as a sub and when sOAZ broke his hand right before the spring split playoffs he was the one helping out. And he performed. FNC secured the 1st place and even during MSI (were FNC got 4th) his performance was nothing to scoff at. He might is a bit cocky in and outside of the game and a managed to become a meme on reddit because of that but he already has titles to back it up (from his technical rookie split) and he is looking forward to get another one. With him as a secret weapon in the botlane, FNC is super unpredictable for bo5s. predictions: Fnatic is favoured. They did really well this split and even if Rekkles slowed down their play stile a bit, they are still one of the best teams to close out games in the EU. There still is a concern. Last year Fnatic was also playing against Misfits in the semifinals and the predictions for MSF were bad and then FNC got a 1-3 ticket to the match for the 3t place. Expect a Caps centred draft from FNC with Rekkles on a supportive ADC or Ez. Expect the tank battle in the toplane, especially since MSF will probably draft and play the same style as in the Quarterfinals (don't flame sencux mid he is doing his job and absorbing pressure). We also might see some unexpected stuff from FNC with Bwipo coming in bot or even a return to their spring split form with Rekkles on late game carries (like Tristana) it all depends on how they want to counter the bot lane snowball/focus of MSF. TLDR: We are going to have two entertaining series this weekend. The aggression from VIT against the map control of S04 on Friday, and on Saturday we will see the rematch of last years summer playoffs with MSF that are back in form and the unpredictable FNC.
