That's right, it's already been one (1) whole year since the reports of fishing mechanics being busted.

However, instead of a long post where I vent the frustrations of most of the (afk) fishers in this game, I'm going to instead simply list the issues that have persisted for more than a calendar year followed by their "fixes", and ended with where the GMs stand on this issue today.

Bugs

  • Character stands in the "waiting for a bite" position endlessly unless interrupted
  • Character goes through entire motions of AFK fishing (including durability loss) but does not catch anything
  • Character AFK fishing only fishes up Blue and Green fish (i.e., no Yellows, Keys, or Relics)
  • Character actively fishing has the loot window for their fish never appear
  • Character actively fishing has the loot window for their fish completely empty

Fixes

  • Restart your game
  • Stop the fishing process and move your character around a bit
  • Get closer to the water
  • Disable the Pearl Item Suggestions Alert in Options

GM Responses

GM Axion - "We had several reports from tickets and we transferred all the necessary information of this inconvenience for an investigation. Thank you for your patience." (Dec. 17, 2018)

GM Haliaeetus - "Our team is aware of this." (Jan 23, 2018)

GM Haliaeetus - "I've merged all threads about this together. Today's patch should have added a few fixes to prevent this, but please let us know if this continues to happen." (Jan 24, 2018)

GM Dew - "Can the other players that are experiencing this same issue confirm if they have a life spirit stone equipped? And does unequipping it solve the issue?" (May 9, 2018)

GM Jeste - "This issue is still under investigation, I am really sorry for the inconvenience, we will update you as soon as we have more information from the developers. Can you please also tell us your gear, buff and pets you used while fishing?" (May 28, 2018 - in a different thread)

Conclusion

Nothing has been fixed and the GMs are very hushed on the matter; likely because the developer can't figure it out, so they're stalling for as long as possible.

I recognize that the GMs are not the developers - as all of us should know - however, they do have the capacity to reach out to the developer for an issue on this matter.

This is also an issue in Korean servers, however, the link to that post has been scrubbed.

The pearl shop has different pick up values for some dogs/cats, even though people say looting times are the same. Just want to make sure if this is a typo or the actual looting times.

Red Karma. Is it worth it and how?

I'm super new into BDO, (someone is going to snoop but yes I have posted here before) and I just recently found out about Red karma. If I were to make one character, specifically to be a bandit, but my other characters were peaceful, would the karma rub off on my other characters, or is it just the one. And is it worth it to be 'evil' are there any benefits?

So i've tried gyfin after doing 60% on gahaz to 62 decided ill drop by gyfin, always thought how its miniscule change for actually having to pay attention not to die, but boy was i wrong in few hours of grinding ive accumulated more silver then whole weekend of gahaz, i mean belts r dropping left and right for christ sake, exp? 0.7 ish an hour without 200% and all of this in random groups Im trying to tag along group with my budy who has dedicated group for it, which shud improve silver an hour by alot current silver an hr is 70ish mill now i understand its rng that we dropped so many belts but money overall is amazing and its actually interesting that you actually gotta keep attention to what ur doing not to get 1tapped by 3-4 decimators overall I love it and im sorry but i had to share my opinion

Hey you. So I am right now like master 7 at fishing. Is there any benefit from keep levelling up the fishing? My main problem is about fishing hotspots, and I seriously don't see much of a difference, especially when it comes to cholecanth hotspots. Do you see any difference? Does fishing worth it to do active if I level it to Guru and up? Or does Guru fishing Look any different than Master fishing?

[QUESTION] Will my PC handle this game?

Hi,

wanted to buy this game because i upgraded my GPU recently.

I have an AMD A10-7580k + GTX 1050Ti 4gb, unfortunately rams are not at 2400ghz (8gb tho).

Haven't find any test about this cpu+gpu on this game, so i ask there.

I know that my CPU it's kinda bad with this GPU, no need to point it out :) i will upgrade maybe around Christmas.

I want at least to run at 60fps, 1080p if possible.
