- Boomsday wasn't actually the first set to line up legendary class cards 1 to 9, in fact we have 2 sets in a row that did it.

Spreading Plague needs to be nerfed. Posted: 12 Aug 2018 02:24 PM PDT I fucking hate card nerfs and the anti-Druid circle-jerk but goddamn, getting sick and tired of Druids completely and utterly shutting down entire deck archetypes with a single card in both formats.
Spreading Plague legitimately needs to be removed from viability. [link] [comments]

Early Crafting/Meta Guide: Top Cards to Own for the Boomsday Meta, Based on Deck Inclusion Posted: 13 Aug 2018 07:47 AM PDT The first TempoStorm meta snapshot was just released, and unlike previous snapshots, this one actually seemed to have decent decklists. So I thought it would be fun to count up and rank the different cards in each deck featured, and see which cards see the most play. This way, you can get an idea of not only which cards are shaping up to be the most impactful in the meta, but also which ones give the most bang for your buck from crafting, allowing you to play the widest variety of decks. I gave each card 1 point for appearing in a deck, 2 points instead if the deck was rated Tier 1. Number of copies didn't factor in as it put Legendaries and tech cards at a disadvantage. In addition, Legendaries were given a bonus half-point at the very end; since they have duplicate protection, they are slightly "safer" crafts than lower rarity cards. They also tend to be deck build-arounds, so this accounts for that as well. The full list is too long to post, but here are some notable lists of cards and bits of info: Top 5 CardsThe Lich King - 9.5 Giggling Inventor - 9 Bloodmage Thalnos - 8.5 Fungalmancer - 8 Malfurion the Pestilent - 7.5 Not too surprising of a list. The Lich King is a super powerful lategame threat and value engine for Control decks that otherwise lack one (or need as many as possible), and Thalnos has tons of utility. With the possible death of Taunt Druid, every single Druid deck is now running Malfurion, and Fungalmancer just works in any deck going for tempo or aggro. Most important to note, though, is the new card, Giggling Inventor. With a relatively cheap cost, and effects relevant for both Aggro (sticky board flood and aggressive minion protection) and Control (board control and stall), the inventor of the Annoy-o-Tron is going into almost every deck where she doesn't break some kind of build restriction. Say "hello, hello" to Boomsday's most important card. Speaking of which... Top 10 Boomsday CardsGiggling Inventor - 9 Myra's Unstable Element - 4.5 Biology Project - 4 Dreampetal Florist - 4 Flobbidinous Floop - 3.5 The Soularium - 3.5 Electra Stormsurge - 3.5 Zilliax - 3.5 Mecha'Thun - 3.5 Demonic Project - 3 This puts into perspective just how defining Inventor is compared to all the other Boomsday cards. Aside from that, however, we have a list stacked with Legendaries. (Note that I am not leaving out any 3-point Boomsday cards; Demonic Project was the only one, all the others were 2.5 or lower). The Druid cards should also be no surprise. Many people, myself included, feared Dreampetal Florist pre-release and thought it would be the number 1 card of Boomsday; it appears to at least be close, cracking the Top 4. Myra's Element may be a surprise to some, but it is carried by it's appearance in the Tier 1 Odd Rogue as a draw engine and earns points for its appearance in gimmicky Rogue decks lower down like Pogo Rogo. Finally, some other random facts. First of all, nearly every card of the "Control Druid" package received a score of 6 or higher. This includes all your "favorite" cards, like Spreading Plague, Naturalize, Nourish, the Druid DK, Branching Paths, Wrath, the Druid Spellstone, and Arcane Tyrant. Right now, if you wanna play a variety of decks, it's exactly what others have said: just put in the Druid stall package, and pick any win condition. Secondly, tech cards are king. If you haven't picked up various tech cards like Mossy Horror (5), Gluttonous Ooze (5), Void Ripper (5), or Spellbreaker (7) by now, you definitely should. These continue to see widespread play, and owning them gives you tons of options to adjust your deck for your "local meta". Lastly, despite years of powercreep, Classic is still an extremely good set, with it's cards making up 10 of the 39 cards that scored 4 or better. The old advice of "if you're new, start with Classic packs" still applies. Notable cards I didn't mention above, with scores: Doomsayer (7), Fire Fly (7), Prince Keleseth (6.5), Saronite Chain Gang (6), Vilespine Slayer (6), Edwin VanCleef (5.5), Ultimate Infestation (5), Tar Creeper (5), Alexstrasza (4.5), Leeroy (4.5), Baku (4.5), Hagatha (4.5), Starfall (4), Defile (4), Lesser Amethyst Spellstone (4), Shroom Brewer (4), Skulking Geist (4), Kobold Librarian (4), Cold Blood (4), Stonehill Defender (4). If anyone would like to hear a specific card's score, let me know in the comments. A couple low ones were slightly surprising to me. Also, remember that these are general crafting suggestions. Don't just craft every card you see here; focus on crafting a deck first, and use this as supplementary advice. [link] [comments]

If you could redesign Hearthstone from the ground up, what's the biggest thing you would change? Posted: 13 Aug 2018 05:37 AM PDT Say you get to go back in time to before launch and can make any changes you want. You can alter anything, from class identity to the design philosophy for future expansions going forwards. how do you (ab)use this power [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Aug 2018 07:20 PM PDT Literally its the same card Druid uses to win with it. Just put Azalina Soultheif into your deck. The moment they play Dreampedal Florest then you just play Azalina and welcome yourself to his hand and then you probably should win. I have this in my deathrattle goblin bomb Hunter and I have started winning a lot more against Druids. This also can work really damn well against Maly Druid because then you get a 2 mana Maly and just kill them with their own combo. (Usually they are low on health in my specific deck because its aggressive). If you are Warlock you can somewhat just skip this and play Demonic Project because that works too. [link] [comments]
