Any other Zelda ports coming to Switch

Posted: 13 Aug 2018 08:51 AM PDT

Just completed BOTW. Wow, what a game. My last Zelda game was A Link to the Past and that was years back. Should I wait for Zelda port to switch or should I get a 3DS to play other games?

My son LOVED BOTW. He’s 11 and has beat it a few times. What game should I set him up with next? We have a wiiU, and he has a 3DS. TIA :)

An unintentional Legend of Zelda baby dedication

Posted: 13 Aug 2018 07:53 AM PDT

So I was at church this weekend where they do baby dedications. Every baby dedication is special of course, but this time there was a bit of a Legend of Zelda theme. The first of two families who came up had a last name of Romani. As in Majora's Mask of course. I chuckled to myself at this connection.

But I really took notice when the second family came up and added to the Zelda theme with their baby's name. This time I snapped a photo (relevant part uploaded).

Yes, the spelling is only as in the original Legend of Zelda game, but still- two families, two Legend of Zelda connections. I'll never see that at a baby/family dedication again.

What game to play next?

Posted: 13 Aug 2018 06:33 AM PDT

Hey guys,

So I played a good bit of Zelda in my younger years on the N64; Ocarina and Majora's. That was all I had played up until recently and now I'm hoping to play through a good chunk of the series; starting with some of the more prominent/recommended titles.

I started my binge with BotW because hey, latest and greatest. I then completed Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess. Went back to BotW to tie up some unfinished quests and complete all the shrines. Then I went back to revisit my youth by playing Ocarina and Majora's again; but on the 3DS for the modern revision of them.

So I'm just coming to the end of Majora's Mask; just collected all the base masks and just need to complete the Fierce Diety trials and a few odd side quests and I'm happy to call it a day.

Just wondering what title I should look at playing next? What Zelda games are the shining stars outside of the above?

What are you'r thoughts on the next Zelda game for switch.

Posted: 13 Aug 2018 04:09 AM PDT

To be real it maybe probable the next game to come out is going to be a remake is of a high caliber. The only game so far that has not got a remake is Skyward sword. The Wii U got all the game cube games so the next one is the Wii with skyward sword right ?

Playing the original Zelda after playing the more recent one, good idea or no?

Posted: 13 Aug 2018 06:50 AM PDT

Although I was born way after, I can nonethless tell how big on an impact the original Zelda must have had back then. Since this is the first Zelda game and on the NES too we are talking about here, playing it without the conveniences found in the later Zeldas must be quite the challenge. Virtual Console version does allow you to suspend at any point but in the end, it can only help you so much. At least you'll know the origin of the famous 'It's dangerous to go alone' quote if nothing else.

Playing my first ever Zelda game!

Posted: 12 Aug 2018 10:54 PM PDT

Recently bought wind waker for GameCube, played about 2 hours, and just got to windfall island. Already love it. What Zelda lore should I know going into this game, and do you have any tips and tricks for a beginner on how to get the fullest experience? No spoilers please!
