Posted: 30 Aug 2018 01:56 PM PDT Over the years we've had plenty of nodes, chests, NPCs, and other content become available for our home instances. I believe that if Sun's Refuge is intended to become our customizable home instance in Elona it would make sense to have those hard-earned unlocks available there as well. They could even be made gradually available alongside Sun's Refuge's restoration process. That way people who already spent time and resources getting them would feel more rewarded, and people who didn't would be encouraged to dip their toes in home instance upgrades as they'd be able to enjoy them while partaking in new content. From financial standpoint it could mean improved sales for past story chapters and black lion keys for nodes/statuettes. Correct me if i'm wrong, but it sounds like a win-win scenario. The list of currently available unlocks is available at https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Home_instance for those wondering how many things are there to unlock. Difficulty in acquiring them will depend on individual playstyle so your mileage may vary. Whether this sort of feature becomes implemented down the road or not, I'm really looking forward to seeing what becomes of Sun's Refuge. [link] [comments]

I hope Sun's Refuge doesn't turn out abandoned and unrealized like guild halls. Posted: 30 Aug 2018 04:57 AM PDT Let's be real here, Anet support for guild halls has been barely enough to keep on life support. Many issues pointed out like decorations limits being too gruesome, expensive, clunky were never looked at. Many other design decisions of the PoF hall like how everything is a crumbled building with no real way to take advantage creatively were never considered for a fix either. Hell we still have that one invisible obstacle leading to the scribe place. So please, if we are going to put effort into another project that seems to be housing for a community that loves details, then do it with in details. No more crumbled pillars or destroyed buildings filled with sand, no more empty instances with no real reason to ever come back aside from doing this collection one time. While i'm sick of the desert theme, Sun's Refuge could have a real charm if the said upgrades ended up clearing all sand/cowbwebs and turning out into something like what Vabbii has for buildings. I buy GW2 in its entirety tomorrow! MMO vet since UO/EQ1: Excited & Lost! Posted: 30 Aug 2018 04:53 PM PDT I'm a new player who, after 5 hours on free account, have decided to go all-in! Where to start class-wise, guides/builds, the lingo, and anything else the community has to offer! Any-and-all assistance is appreciated...and I'll see you in game tomorrow. Thanks in advance for you assistance! [link] [comments]
Why are there so many people willing to help others? Why isn't it common in other games? Posted: 30 Aug 2018 08:12 AM PDT Hell it's contagious even I am now being a mentor and showing people how to get that tail flail ach and just answering general questions in the starting areas [link] [comments]

I want to say that i really like the elementalist changes Posted: 30 Aug 2018 08:00 AM PDT It always bored me that staff was the only optimal build on ele for a long time. Now Sword/Dagger got buffed and you can even play tempest again. build diversity & balancing in pve on ele is in a really good state atm and i hope anet doesnt nerf it too hard soon [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Aug 2018 04:45 PM PDT I would love new dungeons after 6 years of doing the same ones, i really like challenging group content, raids don't count. Anyone else feels the same as me or is 90% of the community incredible hardcore raiders? [link] [comments]
Any classes similar to WoW’s monk or SWTOR’s Arsenal Commando? Posted: 30 Aug 2018 05:04 PM PDT Those are some of my favorite classes from other games. Is there any class that is similar to either? If not is there a simple well balanced class? E: Well, monk had a combo point system that meant you used weak attacks to build a second resource that your strong attacks use. They also get bonus damage if their attacks are not repeated. I think that the Commando (Arsenal) used a low cooldown debug attack that once it reached like 3 stacks you could consume them for an insta crit. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Aug 2018 11:23 AM PDT Okay, I am a noob but please hear me out. I started playing around 2013/2014 but shortly before and after the PoF expansion I couldnt and still cant really play because my pc is crap. Generally I always love new maps because they introduce more lore and I am that kind of player who doesnt grind as much as other player but rather explore the maps. I had a blast with both expansions. I love the jungle theme and also love these huge maps in PoF plus the mounts (griffin you will be mine). To hear that the next LS season will start right after the current one is of course making me sad but on the other hand I know that the next one will be even bigger especially because I always get the feeling anet is listening to us. So overall I will happily wait and grind the current content as soon as I get my new pc. However the LS-maps all have the same problem to me and that is that they dont have the content that people love to come back to it. At least not in Season 3 and 4 so far. I just wish to get some events on the ones that will come out in the next months, or even years. To end this I want to apologize about my poor language and also if I am completely wrong on my points because I havent really played in a year or something. Guild Wars 2 means really so much so me and I want to keep playing it for years. [link] [comments]

Anyone done the math of facet of nature. Posted: 30 Aug 2018 01:08 PM PDT As the title says has anyone done the math on all the effects yet ? I found that with shrio it does a health steal with damage of 120ish and healing of 86. Malyx & Ventari are pretty straight forward But what about Glint & Jalis ? [link] [comments] |
