Video games that are impossible to beat without a strategy guide?

Posted: 13 Aug 2018 09:33 AM PDT

Hi r/Games!

I was digging through an old dresser drawer the other day and found a bunch of my old strategy guides for games like FFVII, and mostly other JRPGs. Games that I probably would not have been able to beat otherwise without the help of Brady Games, and the like. It got me wondering:

What are some video games (past or present) that are practically impossible to beat without the help of a strategy guide/online walkthrough?

Do you remember at what point in the game you asked yourself, "How the fuck was I supposed to figure that out?"
