Veteran Scalecaller Peak Solo - All bosses - Magicka Dragonknight Posted: 18 Aug 2018 12:19 PM PDT I decided to try taking on Veteran SCP solo with my magicka dragonknight. My goal was to complete all bosses, without using any bugs or exploits to aid in completion. Hope you enjoy, and I encourage people of all experience levels to try to advance as a player by taking on content solo whether that be public delves, normal dungeons, and for the experienced -veteran dungeons and normal trial bosses! In case those are wondering I was wearing 5 Elfbane (3 jewelery and an inferno staff), 5 Burning Spellweave (body pieces), 2 Zaan, and a maelstrom inferno backbar. No particular reasoning, this is just what I had. I did choose to avoid Siroria since I had to move around so much. I've also included a few comments and challenges I had with each boss for those curious, or who want to understand my reasoning for certain strategies. I apologize I don't have a YouTube channel to post these (which I assume would be more convenient). The Ogres: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298941905 - I got this one first try, no real tricks to it; just following the mechanics and avoiding the melee ogre when he gets his "poison claws" (can be seen by a visual indicator on his hands). Gargoyle: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298943038 - I had a lot of issues sustaining, and as a magicka dragonknight, had issues with my poor mobility. Hence I found it difficult to avoid getting stoned while maintaining enough magicka to ward myself through the absolutely insane bleed from the boss. I ended up using chains as a spammable DPS ability not only because it is free to cast on enemies that cannot be pulled, but it also provided a much needed speed buff. I also used dragon wings to help cleanse the snare from the boss when he jumps. Giant: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298949533 - Pretty straight forward here, the nereids spawn every 10% of the bosses health. I had to be careful not to "over-burn." I also had to be sure that if a nereid spawned a geyser, that I got as far away as possible to either avoid being picked up or being smacked by the boss while defenseless. Speed potions made this fight a lot easier. Plague Concocter: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298945727 - Actually probably the hardest boss to solo in here. The amount of damage from the boss, adds, poison DoT, and toxic volcanoes was pretty hard to manage with just under 16,000 health. To avoid the toxin volcano damage, I had to be sure to have full stamina, and perform two perfectly timed dodge rolls. I found that if I rolled back-to-back, that the toxin volcano would hit me towards the end, the trick was rolling - waiting a second - then rolling a second time. I used igneous shield to increase my ultimate generation and trade my magicka for stamina when I was desperate. Really this fight was just very very long, and one poorly timed roll was enough to end it. Zaan: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298947161 - This was a real test of timing, and a lot harder then it maybe looks. Zaan does her pick-up mechanic primarily at two different time points; after her fiery breath, and after ice phase when she picks up her dropped shield (note: Zaan does her "ice" phase at 80, 60, 40, and 20%). When you watch this you might be confused why I stand around so much and hold damage on the boss. To beat this I had to be very mindful of her health, and push her below 80, 60, 40, and 20% as late as I possibly could without being picked up twice in one phase. Reason being, without my ultimate, magma armor, there would be no way to survive being picked up and I'd be burnt to a crisp. Hence my goal was to push her into ice phase whenever she was doing her fire-breath, which she always does right before she starts her second pick-up mechanic in any given phase. Doing so also allowed me to push her under 80, 60, 40, and 20% each time and to get a head-start on the next phase. You will see me use igneous shield throughout as well, to generate ultimate every 6 seconds through the Mountain's Blessing passive. A fun test of ultimate generation, and timing DPS exactly at the right time while being aware of my position since the poison dragons are very unforgiving (as I am sure many of you know). For those wondering, the poison dragons never fire while she is doing her pick-up mechanic, or fiery breath, hence predicting when they will fire and positioning myself at an interface wasn't too bad. I hope you enjoy and I am happy to answer any questions! [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 Aug 2018 02:20 PM PDT I just started this game a few days back and something pretty funny happened a couple days ago and I couldn't help but share it. I did this quest in Vvardenfell where I helped this Khajiit produce skooma and after that...I think that hairball of a Khajiit got my character got addicted to skooma when I logged off for hours. How do I know that? My character ended up in the west coast of Tamriel overnight when I logged back on. I didn't even realize my character wasn't even in Vvardenfell anymore until my friend was asking where I was lol. [link] [comments]

Posted: 19 Aug 2018 03:17 AM PDT After 200 hours I still can't seem to stick with the same character. I think its because I'm trying to force myself to play 1 specific way with each. At the moment I currently want to make a high elf magic Templar but let's say down the line I want to switch to a stamina based Templar tank. Would the high elf still be viable instead of making a new character? I don't really care for min maxing and I would rather not use an Argonian. Thanks in advance! EDIT: I would be fine with going Breton if that's any better, noticed that they get spell resistance. Those 2 are the only races I would want to play tbh. [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Aug 2018 09:46 PM PDT Since the lore for eso was made up on the spot and kinda just inserted it into TES official lore, is there anyway to find out who won the war? If anyone at all? We know molag bal didn't win. [link] [comments]

I am really missing something in the game... Posted: 19 Aug 2018 01:37 AM PDT As you all probably know by now I am quite a newbie at the game but really enjoying playing and streaming it. I have managed to get my main to 50 in many of the crafting skills and wanted to set up a vendor or start to sell my wares on a marketplace - however, I can't seem to find anything like that about from the trading guild vendors. Is this the only way to sell my wares? I play on the EU server on a PC inwils [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Aug 2018 12:45 AM PDT So since shields are a very used part of PvP, and with the introduction of bloodmoon, how strong is shieldbreaker? Especially with blood moon once it activates [link] [comments]

Old WoW gamer, first-time ESO gamer Posted: 19 Aug 2018 04:02 AM PDT Hello, Newbie to ESO. I've played World of Warcraft, Skyrim, Oblivion, Daggerfall, Arena before. But not ESO. What tips / tricks do you have for an ESO newb? I'm thinking about mods / addons, guilds, are there different factions like WoW, UI layouts, etc. Steam currently downloading, so I can't do anything yet. And do I have to buy all the DLC's to play? Thank you for all your help! ps - and please no BS answers. Looking for GOOD advice here .... Thanks. [link] [comments]
